Relax by Thane Creek or the 2 swimmable Dams with friends, or row the boats around. Explore the undulating open and treed acreage providing private Hipcamp sites near the Dams or the very inviting, swimmable, fishable Thanes Creek at the property's rear. Hidden Dam has Power available. Fossick if you like. 50%split if you find gold . Come and watch us Roast Coffee Beans in our Commercial Roaster in the front shed. You can buy freshly roasted beans and we have a Coffee Grinder and a small Coffee Machine there if needed. Or play Ping Pong next door in the open area. For the more adventurous visit the nearby Thanes Creek Talgai or Durikai Gold fossicking fields. For the gourmands among you visit the Leyburn, Karara or Sandy Creek Pubs for an amazing meal and cold cold Beer. Pratten has a notable Rifle Range if you are into that. If you are a petrol head ,once a year around August is the Leyburn Sprint Vintage Car Rally, so worth a look. And visit Morgan Park Raceway in Warwick. And in September there is a large Music Festival at Bony Mountain . If water sports are your thing , a scenic 30 minute drive takes you to the Lesley Harrison Dam 1 hour drive takes to to Stanthorpe and the Wineries Breweries and Distilleries.

Hidden Dam site is tucked away in an easily accessible area of the property. The area would easily accomodate 4 large Vans and 16 people. Power is available from a Power Pole nearby.Large open grassed area are surrounded by shady trees. Expect to see Koalas. Ladies, enjoy a wine whilst the men tinker and talk cars and the children explore and play. Go for a row in the Dinghy and bring along some wine and nibblies. Amazing at sunset. It now has a modest pier and a new large pontoon for swimming and sun bathing. There is also a fountain that we can turn on for fun.

Thane Dam East Site is a large flat open area next to a Skillion Shed and cattle Race. It will accomodate 4 vans and 16 people easily.The shed has a small water tank. The dam has a large sandy Beach and is Clean and quite deep. Swim or Fish . Plenty of open areas for a game of footy or cricket. There are fire Drums. Everything else is BYO. O footprint please.

There is easy gate access to the creek near its rapids and nest of Bottlebrush trees. Explore or fish. Pop a table and chairs on the 2 knolls overlooking Jacks Gully and Thanes Creek. Wander along Jacks Gully through the Native Pines to Eastern Dam. Or take an easy stroll to Hidden Dam and go for a row or a swim. Or try your hand at Golf fossicking

The Grotto at Thane

The Grotto at Thane is smallish private and tree shaded area bordering on the fascinating Jacks Gully. It has a firepit and an ancient old giant tree log for interest. It would suit 1 to 2 caravans Summer shade is plentiful in this tidy enclave.

The Grotto at Thane
Nice spot. Plenty of space to our selves. Tried a bit of panning but not much luck….. Site overlooks property next door and it’s a few acres of junkyard, i am sure there is a speedway/rally track that gets flogged every afternoon. Also, its big dogs that barked all day and night…..made it hard to sleep or have any quiet time.

Hidden Dam
We recently stayed at the Hidden Dam site at this lovely farm stay and had a wonderful weekend. Each campsite is thoughtfully positioned to provide privacy, and Hidden Dam felt like our own peaceful little corner of the property. The highlight was the beautiful dam complete with a rowboat and pontoon, which made for a relaxing spot to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Our host met us on arrival and was very welcoming, which immediately set the tone for a great stay. Native wildlife was abundant — we saw kangaroos and even a fox during our visit, which added to the authentic country experience. Access involves a couple of kilometres of dirt road, but it is well graded and easy to navigate. The campsite itself was level and spacious, making it very comfortable for caravans and larger rigs. One of the things we particularly appreciated was that well-behaved dogs are welcome to be off leash when supervised. Our two German Shepherds had a wonderful time exploring the campsite, enjoying walks around the property on leash and splashing about in the dam. Overall, a peaceful, well-set-up farm stay and a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy a private camping experience surrounded by nature. We would happily return.

It was beautifull and peacefull. Kangaroos everywhere. Enjoyed watching Mark brew his coffee beans while having a chat. Both Siv amd Mark are great hosts. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Hidden Dam
Lovely quiet & relaxing place to stay. Multiple large open areas to choose from to set up camp, the dogs absolutely loved being able to explore around the property & play in the dam. Do yourself a favour & check out Mark & Siv's coffee being roasted too. Will definitely be back for another trip

Hidden Dam
Oh what an amazing property to switch off, relax and get back to nature! When you first arrive you are greeted by Mark and Siv who will show you to your site and take the time to help you find the best spot to setup and give you a rundown of the property. We stayed at the Hidden Dam site which is powered and Mark and Siv provide an extra long extension lead to allow you to setup anywhere on this site! Hidden Dam has a lovely dam you can swim in complete with row boat and inflatable dock! The site is spacious with both plenty of shade from the sun but also sunlight to recharge any solar setups and a firepit with ample firewood within walking distance of the site! Couldn't recommend this site, the property or the owners any higher and we can't wait to head back again!!!

The Creek Thane
We had a wonderful stay at Mark & Siv’s down near the dam. The kids had the best time splashing in the dam and taking the boat out for a paddle. We enjoyed chatting to Mark while he showed us how to roast coffee beans – so informative – while the kids enjoyed a few games of ping pong. The area is also perfect for fossicking, and being dog friendly made it even better for the whole family. The sunsets in the afternoon were absolutely incredible. Such a great family-friendly and quiet spot. Thanks Mark & Siv!

Thane hidden gold!

We loved our stay at the "Thane House" property. We stayed near the hidden dam. Our kids loved swimming in the dam and rowing the dingy. Our site had power available which was great to run our aircon keep our caravan at a comfortable temperature throughout the day. We went gold fossicking at the nearby Creek (2 mins drive) and were lucky to find 4 specks of gold! Mark and Siv couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We can't wait to return in future :)

We stayed here with a group of friends in caravans and loved it. The kids absolutely loved the row boat and swim platform in the dam. We loved the wide open space, privacy and the views. The hosts were great, and the coffee they roast on site is exceptional! Highly recommend staying here. You might even find some gold!

Congratulations Mark and Siv you guys nailed it. Had a top spot down by the Dam and loved the row boat. Can't for a wait to get the Grand kids down there when it's a bit warmer. Loved the bird life around the dam. I'm booking in again in a couple of weeks. Mark roasts his own coffee and it is delicious. I'll be taking a kilo home next time as I've already used the 250gm I got of Mark. If you time it right you might get a lesson in roasting coffee .Thank you so much Mark and Siv for opening your beautiful property to us campers .See you soon

We had an amazing stay at Eastern Dam Site at Goldfields-Thanes Creek. The location, lake, and stars at night made it for us. We could also have our dog, and power the van. Mark & Siv were also fantastic hosts, do yourself a favor and drop by. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Jacks Gully Retreat
Thanks Mark and Siv for a nice relaxing weekend. The campsite is very private and quiet. Mark invited us up to watch him roast coffee beans in his roaster which was really interesting. You’re free to explore the whole property or to just sit and relax around the fire pit. Nice to get away from the noise of city life.
