Daintree RV Park faces across Daintree River to magnificent tropical rainforest and Thornton Peak, 4th highest mountain in Queensland. The open fields offer clear vision for amazing tropical sunsets. Watch the brahman beef cattle grazing around the park. The Osborne family are pioneers in farming in Daintree going back five generations. Daintree Village is a short stroll up Dagmar Street before reaching public toilets, mail box (pick up mail from Daintree Village Hotel), Croc Xpresso Cafe (breakfast & lunch), Daintree Village Hotel (lunch & dinner), Daintree Originals (souvenirs, arts, crafts, t-shirts and tropical clothing). The CREB Track is nearby running through the heart of the Daintree Rainforest to Roaring Meg Falls and on to Wujal Wujal. Only 4x4 vehicles without trailers on this adventurous track. The CREB Track is currently open. Also there is the Bloomfield Track running from Wujal Wujal to Cape Tribulation. A large open marquee area is provided shelter and shade between all sites. Table and chairs are provided. We welcome your pets but they will have to be on leash. Campfires are now allowed onsite in the fire pit.

Daintree RV Park Site 3
Fantastic spot with level, green, well kept grass. Beautiful outlook of mountains with the Daintree river below. Easy 5 minute stroll to the tiny Daintree township and pub. Peaceful watching the cows and calves directly adjacent to site. Ending up staying 5 nights and used this as our base to visit Port Douglass (45 minute drive), Cooktown and back in a day (long day driving) and the very challenging 4WD Creb track and just time to chill and enjoy the serenity. Potable water on site is a bonus and helped us extend our stay. Highly recommend

Very peaceful and great view over the valley. Water fill-up point in the campground ⛺️ . Great coffee shop, breakfast, and clean toilets in the tiny village 300m down the road.

Lovely outlook. Wood was available to have the fire but we didn't make use of it. Interesting shade shelter to sit under with a collection of chairs.

We loved the place, when we got there it was just us and another camper, and we were surrounded by lovely quiet cows! By night the field got filled of small frogs, which again we loved (they didn’t make a sound). Only downside were the tiny harmless bugs that tried to take over our camper the second the sun went away. We hardly suggest you to keep your windows closed if you have the lights on inside. Other than that 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely beautiful spot, just paradise 🏝️ Easy access to to the town village and cape tribulation. We even saw our first ever cassowary on cape trib and we’ve been coming up here for nearly 14 years!

Beautiful view and nice shelter to get out of the rain. It has water for all to share and no toilets but there is some nearby as well as a pub with lovely service and huge meals.

This site was beautiful. It was amazing waking up to the incredible views down across the cow fields and the surrounding mountains from our tent. The grass is nicely padded and the marquee created nice shade for us. We stayed in the height of summer and a heat wave so highly recommend setting up on the west of the marquee for morning shade. The bugs were intense at night for us. First time we had to sit in our car and eat 🫠 The potable water tap was super handy!

Beautiful outlook! Bit deceiving on the website, site selection makes out like you can book and stay riverside, but site is in fenced paddock at top by the road. Beautiful views and cows on other side to enjoy their company. Taps and marquee good addition

Really enjoyed the view of this hipcamp. So quiet yet a quick 300m to the small village. Very friendly village The crocodile cruise at the jetty was easily walkable. Site was grassy, flat and very easy to fine. Definitely return to this campaite.

I recently stayed at the Daintree RV Campsite, and it was an exceptional experience. The location is stunning, nestled amidst lush tropical rainforest with breathtaking views. The facilities were immaculate and well-maintained, with ample space. the proximity to the Daintree Rainforest and other natural attractions made it easy to explore the area's beauty. With the addition of the included ferry pass made it a breeze I highly recommend the Daintree RV Campsite for anyone looking to experience the serenity of nature while enjoying top-notch camping amenities

Magic spot, flat, grassy, no power but water, fire pit and firewood, huge canvas marquee with table and chairs for undercover if weather doesn’t behave! A tranquil spot and walk to village….don’t drive past, 5 stars from us!

Stayed 2 nights able to receive ferry return pass for free. Really enjoyed our stay watching the cows nearby, view stunning, central to village, easy drive to ferry. Really enjoyed our stay.

Loved the outlook across to the mountains and to the river. The cattle added a peaceful vibe as well. The covered area had nice soft solar lighting plus a table and many chairs. Fire pit with wood supplied was a bonus plus only a short walk to town which has dump point, public toilets and rubbish bins. We stayed 2 nights so appreciated the complimentary return ferry tickets across the Daintree to have a look at Cape Tribulation.

We stayed at this camp about a week ago. In the listing, it stated that the return ticket of $47 for the ferry was included. However, neither in the listing nor in their confirmation email it was mentioned that we needed to pick up the ticket at the Crocodile Express Office in Daintree Village. So we ended up having to pay for the ferry as unfortunately we cannot mind- read. If the offer was genuine, why don't they communicate it to their customers. It left a pretty sour taste in our mouths. The camp itself was ok but quite expensive considering there were no facilities.

Quiet with great views

Lovely grassed area with great views over the valley. Easy to find. Large tent shade with some chairs and a table, with a fire pit and wood. No facilities other than water but short walk to towns public facilities. We were self contained so not an issue. Coffee shop and pub also in walking distance. Would recommend. We were the only people.

Overall this site was good for a few nights to visit the area. Unfortunately on arrival I discovered there are no individual sites but 1 large area to share which made it difficult to cook camp oven style or even utilise the fire pit. When booking you had to choose options ( water, rig size etc)but this is really not relevant to the 1 site available.
