335 acres of undulating rainforest and eucalyptus forest bordering the Condamine River within the Cambanoora Gorge. 4WD access required. The property has a huge array of wildlife species including the beautiful and rarely seen platypus and lyre bird. We prefer campers to have their own amenities and leave no trace, however, I am building a toilet block. if you do not have your own (please BYO toilet paper). Dog friendly. I welcome people to visit my art studio by donation. I've been sculpting for over 25 years specialising in extinct animals including taxidermy of some of Australia's rarest marsupials. Camps have 1000m of river frontage (access through the gate or fence) flanked by beautiful hoop pine trees and river oaks. Toilets facilities will are under construction. For biosecurity reason collect your own fire wood or purchase from Paul

We stayed at the Orchard Paddock, and we will definitely stay there again. The campsite overlooked the creek with a fire pit. The host, Paul, is very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our time there. We would like to go and see Paul's art studio next time we visit. There is plenty to do around the area. We would recommend Booyong.

A beautiful site on the creek, with sounds of running water, multitude of birds and also cows. Paul is a fantastic host, goes above and beyond 👏 We will be back for sure

Hill top paddock
Absolutely loved camping on Paul's property. The Hilltop is secluded and has a great view being perched up, looking over one of the river crossings. A few friendly cows came and looked around and Paul is incredibly accommodating, making sure we were comfortable, had plenty of firewood and new where the best swimming hole was. Will be back soon.

We had a sneaky little two night get away and stayed on site two. Plenty of firewood, such a beautiful and peaceful spot! We will definitely be back again and again!. Thanks for everything Paul, you were just wonderful to deal with, and such great advice on what to do.

Beautiful place nice and green with flat area to set up. Camp sites are spread out so you’re not on top of others. Would highly recommend this spot although you will need a 4x4 to get there.

We loved our time camping here. The site is beautiful, well looked after and very peaceful and we cant wait to come back and stay again for more than just the one night.

Beautiful spot by the river Paul was super nice and came down and guided us thu the river as was a bit higher then i liked with all this rain.. If you are a bird lover the different types every morning was just so peaceful. Such a beautiful spot the star by the fire perfect

We stayed 3 nights and loved every minute. The hilltop paddock campsite had beautiful views and plenty of space. We had fires each night and watching the full moon rise over the gorge cliffs was unforgettable. Access from Killarney was no issue in our 4WD and offroad van, even with four flowing river crossings. Booyong is a peaceful, private base to explore the region with access to cQueen Mary Falls, Main Range, Teviot Falls, Tooloom Falls and Sunday Plains. Paul was a lovely host and the property is a real gem!

Second time camping at booyong.....love every minute of even with all the rain that we got...very peaceful and the view was amazing...... definitely recommend and will definitely go back for sure

Camp site littered with fresh cow pats. We couldn’t find a reasonable area to pitch our tent within a 15m radius of our site. We don’t mind roughing it, but sleeping between cow shit is unacceptable. Tried to contact the host multiple times to try and resolve but there was radio silence.

Amazing location and well spaced out, private campsites. Heaps of birds around and the creek was lovely for a swim. Really nice to have firewood waiting at the site on arrival. Only negative was the amount of cow dung around the site. To be expected in a farm paddock…but it’s also not a cheap site at $50 + a night.

Absolutely beautiful spot. The river is picture perfect and sounds so nice babbling away. Our camp site was bliss. Couldn’t be anymore perfect. Paul is helping and welcoming. Very close to Killarney and the waterfalls. 100% recommend!

This is such a beautiful spot to stop and enjoy nature at its finest. Paul was very accommodating and has a beautiful well maintained property. The campsites are very well spaced out unlike the caravan park nearby. We towed a 22 foot off-road caravan into the site without any issues. Highly recommend.

Beautiful campsites on the river in a picturesque region. Campsite are extremely generous and very well spaced out. Fantastic views of the ranges in the background and the variety of birdlife, just wonderful. Unfortunately no platypus. Paul was a gentleman and also helped recover a battery issue in our van. Thanks Paul, we will be back!

Nestled beside a gently babbling creek, this campsite offers the perfect escape. Waking up to the sounds of nature and the promise of spotting local wildlife was amazing. The designated fire pits made for cozy evenings under the stars and crisp morning warmth. A perfect spot to reconnect with nature and recharge! We will be back again

Paul was super helpful and went above and beyond. The site was better than we could have hoped and the kids and family dog had a great time! Absolutely would recommend! Heaps to explore and all stretches of the creek were beautiful! Will be going back again! Beautiful views in a beautiful part of the country!

Such a lovely campsite, spaced out well, creek/river is lovely to cool down in, peaceful, lots of birds & butterflies, but the star was watching the platypus frolic. Definitely recommend Booyong & hopefully I’ll see inside Paul’s art studio next time.

Thanks, Paul, for the hospitality. Lovely level, green but tidily slashed site with direct river access through a gate. We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet and sitting in the cool gushing river. We need a longer stay next time to explore the area a bit!
