What a beautiful spot! This is our second time staying here and it is perfect for kids. We relaxed and swam in the creek, and there was plenty of space for the kids to run around. Ben was welcoming, will definitely be back.

Was a nice little area though i don't believe it is a spot for fishing. Paid for the chicken liver bait didn't use it had to walk pretty far to get to some water and was only ankle deep

Besides the weather which was out of everyone's control. It's a very relaxed laid back site..Ben is very approachability and has a very laid back attitude..definitely will be camping there in the future weather permitting.

Nice and quiet place for NYE. Grass had been nicely mowed and bonus was the creek had water for the dogs to splash around in. Would return.

Nice and quiet spot secluded from the rest of the camp area. We only really had to supply ourselves with food and drinks as everything else such as firewood and cooking supplies was already supplied. Definitely will be back again.

This was such a cute set up and great idea! We had a large car and a jet ski so was the perfect stay with needing a large car park (as it is on a big block). Enjoyed the bath and even got to watch pigs run past the river as we were in it. A little warm with no aircon but was totally manageable and loved listening to the outside noises just like camping!

Well set out camping area. Plenty of grass due to recent rain. Quiet, good place to get away from the city life. Creek was flowing enough to sit in and cool down.

Good spot to camp. Nice and quiet. Area nicely grassed and mowed,fairly level . Unfortunately no campfire. Total fire ban. Didn't miss it. Creek was running enough to go sit in. Had rain second night. Definately will be going into our favourite's list to return.
Saw an echidna, wallabies, galahs, kookaburras.
Plenty of area for kids to run around in.
Just a word advice though: if you don't know how to drive on soft river sand, don't venture there.

A great view days stay in our caravan. Large space with a toilet you can use. Grass was dry. Creek wasn’t really flowing so couldn’t swim unfortunately. A decent drive into Airlie, but Proserpine was closer.

Only regret with this site was not having stayed there longer! Easy check in, was met by a lovely couple helping out on the farm, plenty of space, water available and nice walk by the creek. 100% recommend :)

Blackiron Hipcamp is a hidden gem just off the Bruce Highway, easy for any 2WD to reach. It offers everything from luxury glamping to simple tent sites, with plenty of space for caravans—no reversing or unhitching needed! Set along a clear, winding creek, it’s great for fishing or just relaxing by the water listening to the birds and the gentle flow.
We usually travel in our caravan but treated ourselves to the Kingfisher luxury glamping tent—what a delight! Private, peaceful and perfect for a romantic getaway. The wood-fired outdoor spa was amazing; we lay under the stars, glass in hand, just soaking in the moment.
Hosts Ben and his father were wonderful—friendly, genuine people who couldn’t do enough to help. Their warmth really made the stay special.
The main Blackiron campsite is large and ideal not just for campers but also for group gatherings, family get-togethers or work events.
All in all, Blackiron Hipcamp and the Kingfisher tent exceeded expectations—peaceful, beautifully kept and full of heart. We can’t recommend it enough!

This is such a great spot. Right beside a lovely river and even though the water was lower than the owners had seen before, it was still plenty to have a dip. The kids and dog loved hanging out down there and they enjoyed the sheep on the property. There was heaps of room for kicking the footy and we even had a family game of softball. Brilliant spot, lovely welcoming hosts. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

This is our second time staying at Ben's property with our kids and dog. The river way may have changed following the previous wet season but this ment new places and swimming spots for us to explore. There is plenty of space between sites and fire pit scattered throughout.
