The site was private and peacefull, the swimming hole was beautiful and very nice for a swim. The host Paul was very friendly and helpfull.

Paradise.

Such a beautiful pristine area. So peaceful. Amazing birdsong. The creek was perfect for swimming in and just cooling off. Toilets were great, clean and fume free. Paul, the host, was very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay here.

What more can be added to these reviews? Not alot. Paul is an exceptional host and went out of his way to make our stay memorable for sure. Helped us to access campsite 4 with our 13ft hybrid through some tricky vegetation ☺️. Allowed us to use his phone to keep in touch with family due to our daughter in law going into labour. Campsites, creek, waterhole, wildlife etc are as amazing as everyone has previously stated. Even spotted a baby turtle in the waterhole while swimming. Paul has definitely poured his heart and soul in to his property/hipcamp, making all feel welcome. This place is now on our hipcamp "favourites" list. Oh and did we mention the exceptional toilet? 😆 Great job Paul!! Warning: We will be back ☺️

Peaceful Escape at Bellbird Lodge

We spent the long weekend at Bellbird Lodge, staying at Site 4, and it was nothing short of fantastic. The site offered a wonderful sense of privacy, tucked far enough away from other campers that we couldn’t hear a thing—just the sounds of nature all around. With only a limited number of sites available, the whole experience felt serene. The birdlife in the area was truly remarkable. From dawn to dusk, we were surrounded by a chorus of native birds, adding a magical touch to the peaceful setting. The amenities were top-notch—clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located just a short walk from our site. One of the highlights was the creek. Although not at its peak, it was still deep enough for a refreshing swim, and the water was crystal clear—perfect for cooling off and relaxing. Paul, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. He’s clearly put a lot of thought and care into the setup, with helpful signage guiding you to your designated site and plenty of insights about the area. His friendly demeanour made the stay even more enjoyable. All in all, Bellbird Lodge provided the perfect weekend getaway. Peaceful, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained—highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in nature.

Really enjoyed our stay. Paul is a great host! Looking forward to trying out a different site on our next trip! Loved the bird life, the Willy Wagtails are characters! Facilities were immaculate and well maintained. Recommend for a lovely quiet spot.

Paul is an incredibly accommodating host and the property was delightful. Although it’s been dry and fire and we’re in place, there was water. It was away from the road and blissfully quiet and private. Will be visiting again!

Fireflies, kingfishers, and peace

We had an amazing peaceful time at site 6, we were lucky enough to be the only campers that weekend so got the creek to ourselves and total privacy. Paul was a true Aussie legend and even helped us get unstuck when we didn't follow his wise advice for driving into the site! The toilet was so clean and odourless which was really nice and impressive. We watched azure kingfishers foraging at the creek,and in the evening the whole forest lit up with fireflies

Camping at Bellbird lodge, was extremely relaxing. I stayed at Creekside camping site 2 which was right next to Amamoor creek, the toilet amenities were clean. Paul was a fabulous host, greeted me at the gate & explained everything I needed to know & said if I needed anything just holla. I enjoyed the visits from the local wildlife & the next door neighbours cows. I will definitely be back

Top quiet spot. Super quiet. No noise other than birds and wildlife. Felt bad my dogs barked at the deer and horses it spoiled the quiet. Great toilet :D top notch swimming hole.

I loved the retro caravan, it was like camping in nature but with a comfy bed and a patio with comfy furniture overlooking the beautiful creek. My dog loved being off leash at the creek and on walks. There were also quiet private camp spots. Paul was a great host, very welcoming and helpful and has kept the land natural and peaceful. I'll definitely be back.

Our party of 6 plus one dog had a great stay at Pauls. We stayed in campsite 5 which is a few hundred metres down the creek from the toilet and watertank area. The grassy campsite is right on the creekline, so you don't have to walk far to enjoy the water. We were about 10-30 metres from the nearest campsites. There is plenty of peace and quiet, although you will have plenty of birdlife closeby like Eastern Yellow Robins, Whistlers and Satin Bowerbirds. Our dog loved being off-leash when appropriate. Thanks Paul for a great stay.

Beautiful camping spot we loved camping in spot 4 with our dog. Was perfect green grass and perfectly flat land for our pop up camper. We could also hear the creek flowing. The Host Paul was very kind and super friendly. We will definitely be back! Perfect relaxing weekend away. This property is a well kept gem!

Creekside Camping Site 4 - Magic location, camp sites are thoughtfully positioned for privacy. It is so peaceful with the sounds of nature.....water running down the creek & Birdsong. Paul was a wonderful host with a happy friendly personality & great sense of humour as you can tell by querky features around the property. We have found our happy place & will definately be back. Site 2 . Happy dogs

The creek that we were beside and allowing dogs off leash. That was so good our dogs never took off but allowed to roam around, it was so much nicer then having then tired to a rope. Plenty of privacy sites well maintained. Paul excellent host made sure we settled and left us alone but encouraged us to come to see him if we need anything.

Get back to nature at Amamoor Creek

Bellbird Lodge is a great location away from the hustle and bustle of suburbia. Fantastic camp sites with plenty to explore around the property. A beautiful running creek runs through the property with easy access. Apart from the clearing at the camp sites and a gold class dunny, the property is as close to nature as you will get. The host Paul is a top bloke and knowledgeable on the area. Highly recommend this getaway Hipcamp!

Great camping spot with easy access to the creek. Large grassy site, spread out from other campers. Kids loved playing in the creek, clear water, little fish and a turtle! Didn’t notice any mosquitoes. Clean, nice toilets. Host was nice and we were even able to buy some dog food as we had forgotten ours.

We had a lot of fun, the water hole is really nice. We stayed at site 6 which was a little cramped for our 4x4, 8 person tent and 4x3 gazebo, but was spacious enough to get the job done.

Creekside Camping Site 5

Excellent spot by the creek to spend the weekend. Our site was clean, maintained and well distanced from other sites. The creek was spectacular. It was only a short walk to crystal clear water and a nice sized water hole to swim in. We had a great time and I'm pretty sure the dog enjoyed it more than we did. Paul was an awesome host too. Has everything sorted for you. Water tanks with drinkable water, firewood, toilets, and even maps. Very chill, easy going guy. Will definitely be returning to this one.
