Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Joyful Valley is a rural bush property with level grass areas surrounded by trees. Easy access to major roads, shops, tourist area’s and beaches. There are water billabongs and a creek with tiny fish, lotus flowers. Kangaroos,, goannas, horses, lots of butterflies and bird life to see. Bee hives and horses are onsite. This is a super convenient location. The Bruce Highway is opposite where the property then stretches far back. Enjoy bush camping and being able to stretch out with space but with all your conveniences so close by, 3minute drive to the uni and shops. The beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast are within a very easy reach along with Aussie World and Australia Zoo. A new bike path now links you directly with Aussie World and Banana Benders Pub. Cost is for 1 vehicle and up to 4 people per site, for more vehicles and guests please add this on in the extras section - or contact host, - or booking another site and we’ll join you at one. Campers will need to be self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Sorry, we strictly cannot allow pets.

The Old horse Arena is a very large level clearing with log seats, over looking the horses and often visited by kangaroos. There are smaller private site off to the sides. A great Sunshine Coast camp site a short drive to Mooloolaba Beach. Joyful Valley is a 40 acre property with large level grass areas surrounded by trees. There are several water ponds and a creek with tiny fish, lotus flowers, kangaroos, goannas, horses, lots of butterflies and bird life to see. A large level field great to kick the footy about. This is a super convenient location. The Bruce Highway and major tourist routes are a very short drive away. The property stretches back and the main road can only be seen from “the billabongs” site. Enjoy bush camping and being able to stretch out with space but with all your conveniences so close by, 3minute drive to the uni and shops. The beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast are within a very easy reach along with Aussie World and Australia Zoo. A new bike path now links you directly with Aussie World and Banana Benders Pub. The cost is per vehicle for 2 adults, if you are bringing additional people or, additional cars please add this on in the extras section at the time of booking. “The billabongs” is priced for mini vans, and rooftop campers with two travellers. Typically those looking for a quick stopover. Please do not book this site if you are towing a caravan. The billabongs; There are seasonal water ponds with tiny fish, lotus flowers, kangaroos, goannas, horses, lots of butterflies and bird life to see depending on time of year. A large log seat. This is a super convenient location. Enjoy bush camping and being able to stretch out with space but with all your conveniences so close by, 3minute drive to the uni and shops. The front paddock is a small level clearing suited to single or couples in roof top campers or vans - if heavy rain or wet ideally better for 4wd. But fine for 2wd when dry. The north/west corner directly overlooks the central horse paddock; a beautiful maintained grass area where kangaroo’s also like to feed. It’s tucked away off to the side the main “old horse arena” area. So, because it’s a bit smaller it’s most suited for rooftop campers or tent campers with a 4wd as access to turn is a bit tighter and the entry track can be soft after rain too. In dry summer weather 2wd’s are fine too. It has a large log seat. Aussie Camp at Joyful Valley Lane is a super convenient location. The Bruce Highway and major tourist routes are a very short drive away. Enjoy bush camping but still very close to shops, beaches, Aussie World and Australia Zoo. A bike path joins our front boundary that links you directly with Aussie World and Banana Benders Pub. Campers will need to be self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Please drive very slowly on the lane at all times. It is a private road, through private property, shared with children and wildlife.

Had a great time here and really enjoyed the property. Brad was very helpful and we ended up having the section to ourselves for the night which was lovely. Easy access with a 2WD van. Horses were nice to see walking by too. Happy to recommend!

Our stay was perfect. It’s such a great position to be able to drive around the Sunshine Coast. There was a very small bit of road noise but much less then expected. Very private and all that we were looking for. Thanks Brad.

Highly recommend if you are eager to explore the Sunshine Coast. Unfortunately, we only had a night here but thoroughly enjoyed our time. It was so easy as a base for us to explore the ginger factory, big pineapple, Opals Down Under and friends living in Little Mountain. Kids enjoyed the open space and horses. We appreciated the personalised greeting on our arrival, didn't hear road noise and the directions were super easy to follow. We look forward to our next stay! 🐎

Great central Location. Close to the freeway, shops and local attractions (a little car noise if you chasing something more serene). Well kept site. Friendly owner. Firewood available. A couple of kangaroos to hang out with. Good value - would stay again!

A lovely campsite backing on to bushland, and a very convenient base for exploring the Sunshine Coast. Lots of communication from Brad made the experience very easy, and his firewood bundles are very generous. Recommended.

I was here simply as a stop close to Mooloolaba as I had a early start in Mooloolaba and didn't fancy a 3am start from Brisbane. Whilst I didn't get to really experience the property or the site, it was super easy to find in the dark and very level. Host is great. Easy to communicate with and made the whole process really easy. Would definitely stay again.

Front Billabong
Camped at the front Billabong overnight as we passed through the area. Great spot and very centrally located if travelling up/down the coast. Crazy to think such a beautiful property is so close to the main road. No issues with road noise and plenty of space/privacy from other campers. Nice place and Brad was a fantastic host, helping us make sure we got to the right spot. Would return!

The front Billabong camp site at Aussie Camp is a great little nook! I set up my camp facing into the trees and the water and it felt so cosy and private. You can hear highway noise but it doesn’t intrude and it feels private. It’s well priced and close to home for those spontaneous solo overnighters when I just need to get away for a night! ❤️

I stayed for the night at Front Billabong, cute little cul-de-sac hid away from main camping area. Surrounded by trees and by the little dam. Unfortunately, some campers came in at dark and parked right next to me, some campers should be more aware of others privacy and camping etiquette. Brad kindly offered me a free night to compensate for the inconvenience, thanks Brad.

Really nice campsites in the old arena, and Bradford’s done a nice job of providing some communal furniture. Even in the pitch black, the directions were clear, but we had the luxury of having the place to ourselves so weren’t too fussed about exactly which part of the clearing was a site.

We enjoyed our stay again at Aussie Camp. Always a peaceful spot in the lush surrounds and so convenient to all the Sunshine Coast has to offer. The kookaburras were very friendly and entertaining, along with roos and goannas. Thank you Bradford.

Quiet and handy stop for the night. We booked during rainy weather and Bradford was very accommodating and responded quickly to messages. Due to the wet weather and availability on site, he advised us on the best place to park our 2WD van. No problem with noise. Seen some kangaroos in the morning.
