We have a private 20 acres of shady land not far from the pretty town of Childers. Our property features a spring-fed creek with fish. Bring your fishing rods as there is silver perch and perch for catch and release fishing only. The rest of the property features open grasslands and bush. We are pet friendly, unpowered sites with access to a flushing portaloo toilet. Campers must have everything they need and leave no trace. Just 20 minutes inland from the beautiful coastal beaches. With flat and comfortable sites, this is a haven for anyone venturing to the Fraser Coast. It's a 2 minute drive into town for supplies and where you can enjoy a range of pubs, cafes and shops. Lots of things to do and see in the area including a bird park and the Snakes Down Under display. *Booked campsites - please note on arrival you will be directed to our general camping areas, you are free to pick any spot to set up your camp.

Great camping experience. Peace and quiet, close to Childers. Lots of birds, ducks, including kookaburra's and kangaroos. Tony is the perfect host.

I loved the fact that we could select our own site, Tony is the perfect host, he takes excellent care of the perfectly manicured 20 Acres, the camp is a gem, only 2 or 3 minutes drive into Childes CBD, where you can access lots of Cafes, Hotels, Bakery, Pharmacy and most other things one may need. No Powered sites and no water hookup but thats all good, leave no trace. The Portaloo is spotlessly clean and stocked with soap, tissue etc. Plenty of wildlife, kangaroos, and kookaburras about during our stay. Will surely return.

Part of me wanted to say I wouldnt recommend this place just to be selfish and keep it quiet😂 as it was so relaxed and pretty. We were the only people there for 2 days. Very well maintained flat areas, with fire pits. Will definitely go again. And only a couple of minutes from Childers town if you fancy a nice lunch. And you don’t need a 4wd to access it.

This is a first class HipCamp. Grounds are immaculate, the toilet is clean. Only 5 mins from Childers town. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely cleared area with multiple spaces to camp. Like being in a park. Tony met us on arrival and escorted us to our site. One of our best camping sites in our around Australia travels.

Enjoyed our stay here. Quiet and no road noise to speak about. Level sites can be found and fire pits provided. Good access to surrounding areas and only a short distance to Childers.

Stunning property, option to buy fire wood which was great so we could have a open fire in the evening. We camped next to the creek was lovely and quiet even our dogs loved the stay with plenty of room to run off some energy. Highly recommended!!

A lovely peaceful spot very close to Childers. Lots of room with nice camp sites. We stayed next to the creek and it was beautiful to sit and watch all the birds and listening to the creek babbling away.

Beautiful spot literally minutes from Childers but feel like you’re away from it all. Really well maintained. No showers so need to be self sufficient but a portaloo is supplied. Lovely lovely spot.

An awesome spot wholly recommended!!! We camped in our tent for a couple days and essentially had the place to ourselves We loved the prickle-free grass, and walked around bare feet for the entire time. Toilet facilities were superb! It's nice and close to Childers so easy to grab last minute supplies, yet it was so quiet and peaceful it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere Tony is a great host. Good communication prior to our arrival and was friendly and obliging when we arrived. Shout out to his gorgeous doggo, Bruno.

We had a very nice two days. It was great to have a campfire and admire the clear skies. The dog in our party was ecstatic to have a large area of grass to herself. Sure there were bugs at night but that’s a given in the countryside. We would be happy to return and enjoy the peace again.

Beautifully maintained area surrounding a dam abounded by birds and wildlife . A quiet ,relaxing stay despite busy Easter -enough space for everyone to feel comfortable. Highly recommend. Great value for money :Tony very welcoming .

Beautifully maintained and looked after and very nice spot to stay and relax. Our kids loved swimming and kayaking in the pond and had a great time. The rolling hills and nicely mown grass make it so pleasant and Tony is a great host. Very convenient and relaxed sites and easy to get into town for anything you need.

Site 1 - Green Acres Creekside Camping
The host was fine (just make sure you have his phone number saved in case of poor phone service as you need it on arrival and it's not on the sign), and all up it was fine for a cheap night. The trucks were constant and unrelenting, interrupted only by the dogs nearby barking (or yapping) most of the night. A good section of the site isn't flat, so if the place is heavily booked be prepared for that. I was lucky to be the only booking, and I'm not sure I would have stayed if it was any other way. It's very open and there's no privacy. There is a house on the site without so much as a tree between you, and they had their curtains open and inside and outside lights on until late, so it felt like you were being watched the whole time.
