Escape to Wattle & Wave Hip Camp, a peaceful 1500 sqm coastal bush block overlooking the ocean. Set along quiet Thompson Drive just minutes from Tathra Beach, this secluded haven combines the best of both worlds — nature, adventure, and relaxation. Wake up to the sound of kookaburras and the distant crash of waves. Watch the sunrise over the ocean from your campsite, surrounded by native wattles, gums, and visiting kangaroos. At night, enjoy wide open skies perfect for stargazing and listening to the rustle of the bush. Bring your bikes or hiking shoes — this is a rider’s paradise. From your campsite, you can roll straight into the Tathra Mountain Bike Trails, one of the Sapphire Coast’s most scenic and flowing trail networks. Whether you’re here for adventure or tranquility, there’s a rhythm here that invites you to slow down and reconnect. It’s only a 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk to Tathra Beach, and just 5 minutes by bike if you prefer the scenic route. The Bega River and nearby estuaries offer fishing, paddling, and swimming, while Tathra’s village cafés, pub, and shops are close enough for a relaxed lunch or supplies run — yet far enough that you’ll feel worlds away once you return to camp.
