Eight acres of mostly white gums, not far from town, with kangaroos and birds in wide variety. Listen to the magpies' neighbourhood meetings. There are no amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. There's a dam and there's usually peace and quiet. Occasionally this is broken by the Motorkhana throwing donuts in classic cars on the skid pan next door. Special rates are available for these times, which occur only every few weeks, and last only a few hours. Nice quiet spot away from the main part of Armidale, with lovely big trees, wildflowers gorgeous bird calls in the mornings and a small dam with cute ducks who quack quietly in the evenings. 🦆 The site would have benefited from a mow beforehand, and I found it a bit close to the main house, so it didn't feel very private. If the main spot to camp was a bit further away from buildings it would have been greatly improved. I received a lovely warm welcome by the host, despite arriving late at night. Had a lovely stay!

This camp is really cool and nice and close to town for easy access. It is not entirely private if that's what your after as the neighbours are relatively close. Liz was great and welcoming and made efforts to ensure grass was cut and camp was ready
