I camped beside the river with my rooftop tent & dogs. It was peaceful, beautiful & relaxing. There were numerous birds, including kookaburra’s, and wombat holes, although none- spotted. There were ducks & fish on the river.
The walk to the caves was lovely, and the local shops, art gallery & tapas bars were also great, with some of the best food I’ve tasted. Will definitely be back. The drive from Sydney was pleasant.

We loved camping here! It’s such a lovely, personal experience. Our three year old daughter loved patting the ponies and looking for frogs. She had such a great time and loved the animals. So many stars to look at night, it’s incredible!

Great location which suited our needs for the week. Easy communication with Sara.
We did encounter three different snakes in our week at the camp site which was a little nerve racking but it was to be expected, we just wasn’t expecting them. Caves walk across the road was interesting, again encountered a snake on the track there also. Caught a few eels in the brook and let them go. Lovely bird life also.

The location had previously suffered flood damage. We turned up and went to go down by the river, however ended up bogged and a friend had to winch us out.
I tried calling the owners on different mobile numbers supplied with no answer. I wanted to see the Llamas 🦙 and prepaid for this, however did not know where to go etc so I lost out on $35.
Would have been ok if the place was shut down and we were informed rather than having issues.

We loved to stay in Mulla villa farm. The patch of land it’s quite big and allow to be quite spaced between people.
Only downside are the toilets, don’t expect them to be clean or comfy.

Hosts were fantastic, can't say the same for some of the other campers... When I got there I had a mission to find a spot that was comfortable enough, as 2 campers took up enough space for 4 or 5... so I basically said stuff it and just made my own space.

Great Host, really friendly and welcoming. Great that you can bring dogs and had toilets which made life easy. The walking tracks around the property were great to stroll on with the dog. Property is well looked after.

Was a beautiful spot down by the creek. Nice and grassy and well kept. There was a little fire pit and we all enjoyed going for a walk to the caves!

Camping on the creek at Mulla Villa Farm was very relaxing and fun. The cows in the paddock came and said good morning to us and we enjoyed our breakfast with all the birds and wildlife. The sites were accessible for us in our caravan, a bit pokey in some spots but nothing impossible. We'll be back again

I wouldn't recommend for RV or caravan. Getting in and out of sites is very tight and slippery. Alpaca shop wasn't open due to Sara making cupcakes in there and apparently it was very messy. 2 min drive to Wollombi tavern. Bush walk up to caves was nice. As previously mentioned in other reviews the 5 or 6 dogs barked constantly all day. Once we finally manoeuvred vans in to site we were able to relax and enjoy our weekend there. Remember to take firewood. Would suggest only 1 van on each site.

Drove past this farm a few times and finally got to stay there recently. The creek camping area is much smaller than the listing explained, we really only had 2 options by the time we arrived and there were only 3 other families there. The road is closer than we thought so it was quite noisy, as were the owners’ multiple dogs that barked day and night. Loved the cows roaming around though!

Great spot with several options of flat campsites by the river to chose from. Very peaceful and clean property. We had the property to ourselves and loved it! Fire is allowed. Lots of beautiful birds! We loved waking up to the call of birds and cows in the paddock. There are some wombat holes throughout the site but unfortunately none came out to say hi. Communication with the host was excellent! Kids loved petting the ponies and seeing all the other animals.
Unfortunately the host was away so we couldn’t have the animal experience.
The only issue we had was the beautiful although noisy dogs, 6-7 of them, in the main house, which is far from the campsite. But they are very protective of the house and barked a lot. During the day we could handle it but they also barked during the night waking us up several times. I suspect if the owners are there they won’t be so protective. In overall we had a great experience and would love to go back - if the beautiful puppies promise to let us sleep well 😊

We had a lovely long weekend here. We were the only campers which was really nice. The bush walk and animals were a nice way to spend the day. The creek was quite dirty so unable to swim in it.

Took my boys away for the Easter long weekend. I originally booked 2 nights, but ended up extending and staying a third.
Great spot. Only a few minutes to Wollombi.
Definitely worth a visit.

I had a fantastic time at the camping area! It was such a relaxing experience. The best part for me was simply being in the camping area. The atmosphere was peaceful, and I enjoyed every moment spent surrounded by nature. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors!

Nice quite area in the forest, with some short bush walks, the farm animals feeding was the highlight of the trip, they do that 4pm daily 35$ for kid and it was cash only, but have to talk with them before.
Only thing there's no skip bin(and no toilet), had to take our rubbish with us and took us an hour drive until we found one

Wonderful escape place.
We love this camping area, have pony, alpaca.
And can easy booking, near hunter valley.
Also near have bar , so good so chill.

The host was lovely. It was a bit tricky finding the location at first (we missed it). The camping site wasn't as noisy as we expected (since it was close to the road) which was good but the big dogs from the host's place were very loud all the time (especially at night). The creek wasn't nice at all.

We bike packed in from Morisette after having lunch at The Trading Post. There are reviews here complaining about access details and information, which seem really clear cut to me - across the road the main house. Also the sign on the gate gives it away, also does the signs posted down to the creek site. I also thought the ‘Creek Camping’ gave it away also, being that it was camping next to the creek.
Only small whinge is the dogs at the main house barking through the night, but we were buggered so wasn’t a big deal.
Easy ride into Wollombi Tavern for dinner. Sorted. Would camp here again.

Great spot, although close to the road was very private.
Watch out for the many wombat holes on the property so you don’t disrupt the locals.
Recommend hitting up Laguna Trading Post on your way in or out.
