Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family. Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, installed watering infrastructure, and built our house, which we finally moved into when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990. Over the ensuing years, we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity, and food. If you're lucky, you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season. With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings, kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbi,t and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space, you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock. There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower. Around the dome is a fire pit, drinking water, and a camp kitchen. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. We also allow your pets to stay on-site; this includes horses. Set in a lovely open, relatively flat, grassland area interspersed with gum trees, there is plenty of room to spread out. Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) property in 1984, living sustainably and raising our family. Over the ensuing years, we have continued to regenerate the land and increase the biodiversity. With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings, kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbit, and hares; and not to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. We also have some friendly magpies whom we rescued, who will chat away to you. The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. Drinking water is provided via a 33000-litre litres distributed in two tanks and feeding multiple taps located in the paddocks. Our purpose-installed Ablutions block with 2 Composting toilets and a hot shower. We run on the leave-no-trace principles, so our preference is that you take home what you bring, but we can arrange for collection at an additional cost (council charges us to use the Dump). Around the dome is a firepit, and a camp kitchen with two 6-burner BBQs and a sink (remember to be eco-friendly washing liquid). The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking as well. NOTE: fire pits cannot be used during fire bans without a permit. If you don't have a tent, you can hire one or alternatively, you can hire one of the two onsite campers (refer to Peaceful and Spacious Campervan), each with a very comfortable queen-size bed including linen. The Gundaroo area has several great places to eat and drink, with live music at some on the weekends. Gundaroo Pub, Cork Street Pizzas, Grazing, and Gundog Cellars are excellent places to visit within Gundaroo and its surrounding areas. Pets are allowed, and we have a dedicated Dog Paddock to enable them to run around. When not in the dog paddock, your pet must be on a leash/under control at all times due to the wildlife that frequents the paddock. Exclusive use means no other campers can book. Please read the rules before booking. Exclusive use also provides you with access to the two vans onsite, and the Dome, as well as the general camping and BBQs. Pitch your tent in one of four paddocks off the central main paddock, where you can organise your event. The Paddocks are relatively flat and easy to traverse as well as divided to make your event more manageable. Over the ensuing years, we have continued to repair and increase the biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity, and food. With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbit, and hare; and not to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs. We now have sufficient composting toilet facilities to support up to 50 people for a few days. We run on the "leave no trace" principles, so our preference is that you take home what you brin,g but we can arrange for collection at an additional cost (council charges us to use the Dump). Cooking facilities are provided by BBQs. Other facilities such as kitchenet can be booked to make your stay more comfortable. NOTE: Fire pits cannot be used during fire bans without a permit. And must be booked at other times. For those booking the entire paddock, you have an option to use the 2 x onside camper, which has a very comfy queen-size bed. NOTE: NO AMPLIFIED MUSIC AFTER 10 PM ON WEEKDAYS AND 12 AM ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS.

PLEASE CONTACT BEFORE BOOKING AS THIS SITE IS ALSO AVAILABLE AS A SITTING ROOM FOR CAMPERS TO BOOK. The site has a 6.5 mtr Geodome, which you can hire to sleep in as a tent replacement, though much larger and more comfortable. It contains a pull-out sofa bed, suitable for 2 persons, but an additional double mattress can be provided if required to sleep 4, with plenty of space to relax in. The space has mat flooring. You can not lock it, as it is a more free-flowing space. The dome is next to the covered shared BBQ area, with tables and seating. Also close by is a fire pit (refer to extras) - for those cooler nights. If you interest please enquire further with more information to come.
