Byron Bay hinterland campground. Self check in. Starlink on site. Check out us on Instagram @glencairnestate Just 8 km from Byron Bay - 10 minutes drive along a scenic country road. Near all the Byron incredible activities, such as great restaurants, waterfalls, beaches. Well positioned between the beaches of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. The campground sits away from the main road so plenty of peace and quiet. There are goats, peacocks and chicken in a paddock up the hill from the campground and a horse paddock with 6 horses down the property road. We do have a well water tap though to fill your tanks and a couple of electric plugs to charge your essentials (check the small old shed close to Site 1). We have 6 different sites for caravans, RVs or tents. No toilets on site so you must be self contained. It is a former cattle farm that is being currently reforested to the original Big Scrub rainforest. The proceeds from Hipcamp are used to reforest the land. You can enjoy walking around and explore the magic sunsets of the Byron Hinterland. There are a few billabong/ creeks and a mowed nature walk path. We also have a Cabin available for rent if you are looking for something more.

Camping here offers a mix of experiences. Many campers love the peaceful setting close to Byron Bay, highlighted by friendly animals and enjoyable walking tracks. However, some guests raised concerns about the proximity of campsites and occasional maintenance activities like chemical spraying without prior notice. Overall, it's a convenient spot with a pleasant atmosphere but with room for improvement in communication and site management.
