We are an adult-only, clothing-optional, 50-acre farm; we are secluded and situated on a quiet road with forest screening. We have creek with a swimming hole and sandy beach. We offer several flat, well grassed campgrounds, some with fire pits, suitable for tents, campers vans and caravans up to 22 foot. Please aim to arrive before it gets dark. We also offer access to off-grid power, as well as a series of internal walks and running tracks through the forested parts of the property. In addition, we offer a trained masseur on WEEKENDS ONLY who will massage in his forest studio. We occasionally have organised weekend arts courses: life drawing, basket making and cyanotyping. We also conduct night tours to view glow-worms. In August and September fireflies can be seen along our creeklines. We can provide escorted tours of local sights including galleries, natural sights including waterfalls and a local commune.

Tents, campers and caravans can be pitched on grassed sites, surrounded by forest, within close walk to the creek and rainforest walking trails. All sites are screened from neighbouring farms and the country road. Sites have access to a bush toilet and shower. Sites are close to a fire pit and have bins. Sites are 100 metres from the creek day use area with a forested area adjacent to the swimming hole. Please aim to arrive before 6pm.

Amazing experience to be in such a queer-friendly, self expression-positive place surrounded by gorgeous private bushland to discover. Campsites are in a shared paddock with some varied shade throughout the day, though I camped just outside [with permission] to find a shadier, more private spot. Super convenient to have toilets, outdoor shower, running water and rubbish facilities on site. Hosts were warm and welcoming, putting on a communal fire on Saturday evening. I had a cold and couldn't stay up long but was lovely to have a communal feel, as well as to explore the property and be in total isolation. I look forward to returning [Without a cold]

Second time here & still love it! Hosts are amazing. Plenty of space & oh so peaceful. General stores 5mins away, one offering Woodfire pizza & jam session Sunday afternoon at the other. Will be back!!

We had the most relaxing time at GingerNut Fram. It's a beautiful quiet place that turns magical at night. Craig and Andy are lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend and we definitely will be back.

Lovely peaceful camp spot, Craig was a wonderful host and gave a great tour of the property and a detailed explanation of the trees and history of the property. The tour at night to see the glow worms and the fungi that glow in the dark was amazing. Will definitely return. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Craig and Andy were fantastic hosts and were so attentive and accommodating. We were made to feel very comfortable during our stay and would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone wanting a relaxing time. Beautiful natural surroundings with the twisting Angophora and friendly Kookaburras. The grounds are very well kept and the walking track was a lovely addition to the land. Will stay again soon! Would recommend for nature lovers, beautiful fresh creek to swim in, dams to watch frogs and dragonflies, walks explore to do birdwatching and the free night tour to see glow worms and glow mushrooms was the highlight. The hosts very passionate and knowledgeable about there little bit of paradise. They organised some optional social activities like dinners too.

A great experience at Ginger Nut Farm! Beautiful land and trees, refreshing swims in the creek and most notably, a great sense of community and wonderful people. Perfect place if you're camping with dogs so much for them to explore. A range of cool activities were offered as well such as glow worm nature walk, basket making and body painting. The surrounding areas of Nimbin and Kyogle offer beautiful scenery for day trips and Hanging Rock Falls only 10 min drive away is well worth checking out. Definitely would recommend staying at Ginger Nut Farm, as a young(ish) female I always felt safe, comfortable and included.

The boys have created an inclusive space accommodating both community and privacy. The powered sites are seperate from the main camp with only 2 sites available on the edge of a small gully with a beautiful leafy outlook over a dam. Closer to the river is the main camp paddock with porta-loos and a bush shower. Everything was well maintained and clean. My stay was peaceful and quiet, I was able to rest, go for long dog walks, swim and participate in a workshop. They offer activities like a glow worm night walk and occasional workshops like basket making and life drawing. Its a safe space with many lifestyles coming together free from judgement. Women travelling alone, its safe. This property is evolving and growing with conscious environmental rehabilitation. Thanks for opening and sharing your place 🙏🏼

Liberating and carefree camping.

We had a wonderful but short stay at Gingernut farm. We met some wonderful people and shared some good times. Craig the host was great and very knowledgeable about the property and its nature. We visited the glow-worms, basked in the sun of the top paddock and swam in the local rock pools. We would have like to have stayed longer but we will return next time we are in the area.

It was a delight to experience my first Hipcamp (and first clothing optional camp) at Gingernut Farm. Such a wonderful 5 days. Craig, Andy and Greg were wonderful hosts and Gingernut is a quiet property with a lovely creek, paddocks, bushland and wildlife. Amenities down at the main campground are basic, but functional. I’ll definitely be back! Thankyou fellas and the other campers for making my stay at Gingernut such a warm and positive experience.
