We had an incredible stay at this remote private campsite. The journey in requires a 4x4, but that only adds to the sense of adventure — and the reward at the end is absolutely worth it. The property is stunning, and the host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing firewood and a great fire pit setup that made our nights around the fire really special.
The campsite itself sits in a peaceful meadow bordered by a small creek, and it honestly feels like your own piece of wilderness. The creek is something truly special — crystal-clear water with beautiful swimming holes that are perfect for cooling off or just relaxing and taking in the scenery. It was one of the highlights of our stay.
If you’re looking for privacy, natural beauty, and a host who genuinely cares about your experience, this place is unbeatable. We can’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to come back.

It was a stunning location. It had one of the clearest rivers I have ever seen. We felt completely secluded in our own private oasis. The kids loved waking up to the sound of the cows mooing on our doorstep.
There was plenty of wildlife to view and plenty of space to explore.
Anthony gave great direction and also met us at the gate to guide us to the camp-site. He was a great host and even provided plenty of fire wood.

My wife and I had the most relaxing weekend here! 🌿
It’s so peaceful — no noise at all, just the sound of the creek flowing and birds singing. 🕊️
We even found lots of wombat burrows nearby (sadly didn’t spot any this time.) 😅
The owner was super nice and friendly — even pointed out an eagle far away with his amazing eyesight! 🦅

A ton of things to love about Everlong and Anthony’s hospitality!
Despite being a working farm and limited to no reception Anthony has excellent communication skills and instructions in place to get you there. The google maps link via Hipcamp takes you straight to Platypus campground.
It is one of the closest sites to Canberra that is on a river. The river is spectacular. There are kayaks and canoes the kids will love it. Firewood and everything.
We will definitely return to this lovely part of NSW :)

Kylie was so lovely and showed us around to our camp site. They have an absolutely beautiful property with an abundance of wildlife. If your looking to disconnect from the world and be amongst nature and relax then Everlong is the place to go. We will be back 🙂

Everlong was fantastic, a quiet and private area on the Moodong bend, getting there was a breeze and the communication by the host was excellent...definitely a beautiful area to stay, and we will be sure to visit again.

Beautiful scenic property, with the clearest river water I have seen. The hosts are super friendly and the communication is great. Fire pits with wood, great fishing, swimming and kyacking. Plenty to explore, and curious cows hanging out for a pat. Highly recommended, great way to disconnect from the city.

Imagine after a scenic drive through the countryside, and set up camp right beside a clear, gurgling creek — pure tranquility. The site is beautifully maintained, flat, and easy to access, surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful sounds of nature.
Anthony and Kylie are amazing hosts, kind, welcoming, and clearly love the land they live on. Everlong is honestly better than many national parks I’ve camped at, with the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and natural beauty. Can’t wait to come back!

Host was welcoming and escorted us to this great secluded spot near the crystal clear creek. Wood and a well designed fire pit (provided) was a great part of the camp.

Everlong! We had the most wonderful long weekend with our friends on platypus campsite for 3 nights and it was incredible! Anthony was so welcoming with fresh eggs and lemon and the farm is just beautiful!
The river was absolutely stunnning and there were a few kayaks available to go up and down the river which the kids really enjoyed doing! The cows which were roughly a year old were so fun! They let you pat them and the kids were obsessed.
We definitely will be booking this spot again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful Secluded Creekside Escape
We had such a wonderful stay at Everlong. It’s a beautiful, private campsite nestled right beside the creek, the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. The kids loved exploring and walking along the flowing creek, and it’s only a short, easy drive to the river for a proper swim. We spotted goannas and kangaroos during our stay, which added to the magic of the experience.
Be mindful that it’s true bush camping, so just take care for wildlife and enjoy respectfully being out in nature.
There was an abundance of firewood supplied and our hosts, Anthony and Kylie, were incredibly welcoming to both us and the kids. The water was crystal clear and the peaceful surroundings made it easy to truly relax and switch off.
There’s no phone service and the nearest town is about 45 minutes to an hour away, so just come prepared, we actually loved that part! It was the perfect way to truely switch off and relax. We’ll definitely be recommending Everlong to friends and family and can’t wait to come back ourselves.
