We camped on site 2. It is a lovely out look. Plenty of room for a group. Some level spots for vans. A visit over to the animals and a stroll on the property was lovely. Site 1 was close to the road glad I didn't book it. A very relaxing weekend.

We love camping at Crooked Corner! We've been back many times and can't recommend it enough. Our dogs love it, our friend came with us this time and fell in love with the place too. There's plenty to see around the property with the animals and bush as well as the sunset views! The dam is swimmable and a nice place to cool off after a good bush walk.

This was our second time camping at Peter’s place and will be a regular spot for us and our dogs. Can’t recommend it enough! The camping areas are diverse, plenty of walks within the property with animals and sculptures to see and enjoy. The area also has plenty to see and do on a longer stay.

Fantastic spot! Each of the camp areas have their charms. We liked our hilltop spot at site 2. Peter is a great host, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Our 3 dogs were right at home and enjoyed playing with Jet, swimming in the dam and bush walks around the property. For us, the dams were good for a swim and sunset views were amazing. We spent more time relaxing at camp than planned (cos it was so good). A couple of local day trips to Crookwell, The Federal Hotel at Bigga and Wyangala Dam were all worthwhile. Definitely one of our top picks and we’ll be back to explore more in the area!

Fantastically private location. Not much flat area for a tent, but we found a slight slope that was comfortable. Creek and dam at this site is not swimmable but the surrounding bushy hillside was a beautiful outlook. Wonderful star gazing as well. We loved the privacy and the ability to have a great campfire for cooking and marshmallow roasting and ample space for playing games. Also saw a lot of birds and some wildlife.

Overall this is a lovely spot, we just found that the lack of level ground, together with the lack of water in the creek made for a fairly average site. Plenty of good quality firewood around, the host was fine with us using a chainsaw too which was fantastic! If the creek was flowing/had more than a few inches of water it would be a lovely spot to chill out in the warm weather. For anyone else considering the site, the site is not particularly “steep” and could be accessed with almost any vehicle provided it has sufficient ground clearance. Definitely not a challenge to get in or out. Peter has done a fantastic job maintaining the site/grounds, not a bad spot if you’re a very small group and not chasing water more than a few inches deep.

Camping with our Dogs!

Peter was very accommodating seeing that we booked in the day we were arriving - thank you! We were traveling with a 23ft caravan, 2adults & 2 x small dogs. Peter was helpful in finding a suitable spot for us to camp for the night. Plenty of room for our dogs to have a run & a lovely outlook for the night. Very peaceful. Thanks Peter!

We loved having our family catch up on Peters land. Plenty of space for the kids to play. The dam was fenced but close for relaxing on the peer. We enjoyed both the camp and wood fire. The rooms are well appointed and comfy, with electric blankets and heaters. We used the outside bbq and relaxed on the porch. Highly recommend 💜

It is just beautiful. Peter has amazing taste, it’s all so good on the eye. There is every creature comfort, all hiding in a very charming rustic setting (not too rustic, and not at all country chintz). And of course the countryside is lovely too. I can’t wait to return. You think the walk to the bathroom will be annoying in the deep of winter, but it’s not, it just connects you with the land a bit more: that cold run on frozen tip toes and the thrill of getting back into the warmest most comfortable bed. So tip out a jigsaw and some board games, and a wine, and a good playlist and breathe deep. You’ll love it, you kids will love it, and your mates will love it. Oh, and your dog. Your dog will will too.

Was an awesome spot and very quiet. Great trees around and a very special spot. Peter was super friendly and showed us to our spot as well even though we ended up being a little late and on Good Friday well!! Thanks so much Peter!

My family stayed at Crooked Corner Cottage together with some close relatives. The shack was great as it got everything we needed for cooking and eating. There's also a dining area and a lounge area where kids can just play if it gets too hot outside. Bedrooms were neat and tidy. Since we were over the cottage capacity, some slept in tents. Thanks to Peter, for allowing us to camp near the cottage. The place was huge. We enjoyed walking, playing tennis and volleyball. Kids loved toasting marshmallows on campfires. Some of us even went kayaking and swimming in the dam. We were never bored there were so many things to do. Peter is very accommodating and his dog is very friendly. My grand children even played fetch with his dogs. The place is beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay.

The site didnt have suitable access for our van so we pushed on to a free camp at Bigga. This was no fault of the host but better description of the sites would help. Also the grass was knee height again not a great camping experience wading through high grass. I would recommend better signage for both the main entrance and sign post camp sites. I should have saved the booking fee and stuck with our usual modus operandi of free off grid sites

Peaceful and Picturesque

A very peaceful weekend away although the weather wasn't kind to us but we still made the most of it. Great property with good views. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Peter but he was very accommodating allowing us to camp anywhere as we had the whole property to ourselves.

We’d a great night camping at Crooked Corner. The place is lovely and quiet, there’s a nice flat spot to set up camp and lots of space. The dog also loves swimming in the dam.

beautiful Peace and quiet

This place is just the ticket if you want to get away from it all. We really enjoyed it as it's so incredibly quiet. Our spot was very basic, in fact there was nothing there but peace and quiet. Our kids loved playing in the creek, getting muddy feet, exploring the bush and sitting by the fire at night. Peter is a very friendly fella, very helpful too. We would very much recommend this place.

Very nice getaway in an easygoing environment. The drive through to the farm sets up the scene perfectly. Plenty of firewood was available and night sky was beautiful. Note if you’re using Google Maps it will take you about 2 gates beyond the entrance down Bigga Rd, you’ll just have to drive back to the 294 gate.
