Blicks River Camping

Lovely campsite, Maryanne welcomed us as soon as we got there and showed us around. Nice and quiet with great creek swimming. Saw plenty of platypus too.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our doggo at site 3. We absolutely loved it! Water was so refreshing and fun cruising down the rapids in our tubes.

my partner and I loved camping at Maryannes property! awesome spot to get away from the big smoke. would highly recommend. definitely need a 4wd or capable car to get here!

This place is such a hidden gem tucked away in the rainforest. The river is absolutely beautiful and so clean — we definitely recommend bringing floaties to drift along or even kayaks to explore it properly. Maryanne was incredibly welcoming and made our family feel right at home. The outhouse was also a nice touch — it was really well maintained and clean, which we appreciated especially with young kids. Such a special spot and one we’d happily come back to!

We had the best sleep of our lives. This camp is so peaceful and beautiful. The river was nice for a dip and to sit by and have a coffee. The kids loved wandering and rock hopping down the stream. Maryann was a lovely and welcoming host. Thankyou for having us. We will be back

Platypus frenzy in bush paradise

Amazing spot! We stayed at the site with the platform as we expected a storm and it was perfect. Maryanne welcomed us kindly and gave us instructions. Accessible with 4WD and Optus reception is great 👍 River was lovely and refreshing, beautiful nature around. Super cute Family of platypus living literally in front of the platform so happiness all around. Will be back!!

If you’re after a bush camp that makes you feel like your in the middle of nowhere but still close this is it, so peaceful and quiet, great spot highly recommend, the view from the deck was unreal down the river, plenty of wood around to cut up, I recommend bringing ramps if your in a roof top tent to level your car out, overall I’ll be back, Maryanne was nice and accommodating 👍🏻

Stunning River access and peaceful surroundings. Bring plenty of levelling as no real level ground. This is a true Aussie bushcamp experience and a 4x4 is essential.

We loved our stay at Blicks River Camp! Perfect if you’re looking for a bush experience on a picturesque river. Hosts where very accommodating. Be prepared - Road in and out of the camp was slippery in the wet and rough. Overall it was a great stay!!

Great spot close to the water, only people you will see if the other campers. It’s not designated camp spots though, so first in best dressed. No views of the river unless you snag the spot with the deck. We had this spot and it was beautiful, but would have been disappointed if we didn’t get it. Toilet is great! River was beautiful and host was accommodating and lovely.

Perfect, secluded private camp spot. Highly recommend for nature lovers looking for a down to earth camp out. Platypus spotting and white water canoeing a highlight. It was great to have unlimited fire wood supplied.

The river makes this a very special place, whether you want to paddle in the stony pools, swim laps or just sit on the banks and observe the abundant wildlife including black cockatoos, tiny wrens, turtles, goannas, dragonflies and butterflies. The perfect place to take time out from the modern world and recharge.

Great spot with great sites but once arrived that HipCamp allowed them to accidentally overbook and so the best spot we could find still available was not flat at all so bring some kind of levellers if you’re able. Great swimming spot too

I am reticent to provide another review because this little slice of paradise is so perfect that I’d love to keep it for ourselves…but truly, Maryanne’s property is absolutely pristine! The perfect escape from life, surrounded by birdsong and the creek bubbling through the day and night. We loved paddling in the rapids with our dog, reading by the creek and cooking over the campfire. We will be back for third, fourth and more visits. We adore it
