Accessing this site is a fair drive (7km of gravel/dirt roads) but the site is roomy and beautiful.
Mark was so wonderfully helpful and accommodating.

Great camping location in the bush by a beautiful river and only a little over half an hour to some awesome beaches.
Our family really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Mark was a terrific host very friendly and helpful

Great bush camping right on the River. Mark was a great host. A group of six of us were canoeing down the Clyde River and I contacted Mark about staying the night at his property. He was very accommodating in putting us right near the river. Mark even offered to have a fire waiting for us if we contacted him 30mins prior to our arrival. Next level hospitality! Great property 10/10

We loved our stay on Marks property, even though we accidentally booked a camper-trailer we didn't need!
We planned to debut our Stand Up Paddle Board this trip and the river access on the property was perfect for this - we enjoyed the sites of big island and the few larger boats were not a disturbance to us. Mark also has plenty of kayaks up for hire if you're game!
Marks kindness and assitance was so pleasant - he even took time out of his day to ensure all campers left the property safely, was ready with the tractor for any 2WD falling prey to the mud from overnight rain. Mark sends helpful detailed instructions before you vist, so it's super easy to locate, and know how to contact him, a must read.
His place made a very comfortable spot for 'easy camping' with fresh drinking water, wood for purchase (but plenty there to FYO; forage your own) and even power if you need. The campsite was freshly mowed and well marked.
Tiered campsite setup means you were largely to yourself - possibly sharing with one other group. If you could view the map prior to booking this would help you to gauge privacy.
Some other reviews warned us of the toilets - but these complaints were largely unfounded. Yes, there's only three walls, but the birdwatching makes up for that. They've installed a privacy bar so you're never interrupted. Yes, its a seat on a bin, but the worst part was the other guests not cleaning after themselves, just like any other public loo.
We would visit again!

The elevated view down to the river and across the mountains was awesome. Scars of previous bushfires were a reminder of natures brutality in such a beautiful natural setting. Mark was welcoming and accommodating to our needs exceptionally busy throughout our stay. Access in and out with a large semi off road caravan was possible but challenging and not for the faint hearted. Together with our 2 Golden Retrievers, we loved our 7 days despite the ever changing weather. Don’t expect isolation as you may have close neighbours but you will still enjoy your own space and the friendly nature of those other campers around you. Remember this is a campsite, not a 5 star resort. Thanks Mark, we hope to return and see your vision progress.

We had a great time staying on Mark‘s land. There is so much to do and it’s a great spot for families. Mark was very welcoming and made sure we got all the information we needed to find this beautiful spot. The camp spot we had (E4) was really good. We definitely recommend.

Beautiful serene spot. The river is fantastic. Host was great to deal with. Access is 10km unsealed road, slippy in places which is fine for a high clearance 4WD but otherwise could be difficult in rain. The ‘toilets’ are horrendous by any standard - particularly as paying customers. Needs toilet upgrade and perhaps one day, a shower block!

Beautiful lakeside location

We enjoyed our time staying at the riverside location we did however encounter a large amount of rain during our stay which resulted in us unable to tow our off road van out of the property, luckily Mark was onsite and came to tow us out with his trusty tractor. Not an ideal situation but everone kept their cool and got the job done, many thanks to Mark.
We loved fishing and getting out on the lake which is why we chose the spot and would come back provided the conditions would allow.

Mark was an amazing host, he was very generous with his time and help setting up. The property is beautiful and has access to the river. Our particular site was spacious and we had it exclusively for a large group. It was wet when we arrived and the road driving in was muddy but easily negotiable with a AWD towing a boat.

This campsite has some potential but is still in the process of being fixed after the fires. Mark is a friendly guy. Other campers looked happy and content and enjoying themselves.
This campsite wasn't really what we were after for a family holiday and we ended our holiday early after one night instead of 3. The E3 campsite was right next to the toilet ( which people can see through at head height) and we avoided using the toilet.
The water was accessible but best boiled for drinking.
We were disappointed that we needed to walk through other campsites to access the 'beach' ( muddy from recent rains) and felt like we were intruding on other campers privacy.
We loved that this campsite was pet friendly but maybe it's best if owners could get their dogs to do their business in a designated area as the ground felt a bit icky and I thoroughly wiped down my tents when I got home.
The place can be best improved with hygienic toilets ( with privacy), better signposting of campsites and directions to key spots ( beach/ emergency location/ toilets/ drinking water/ entrance to site). Kangaroo valley river ( bendeela recreation) have a great campsite that can act as a model of what a campsite with basic amenities looks like.
A heads up the road in is a bit of a challenge for a 2wd, it's doable but you are at risk if it is muddy or rained recently.

It is remote and so peaceful. We did enter the site after a few bad weather days and had a little trouble getting in, but Mark was so helpful making sure we got in and out ok.

The campground is an amazing location right on the river, with easy access via the river beach for water activities. All while being surrounded by bush. Mark was a wonderful host and made it a great experience.

Mark was very welcoming & helpful but unfortunately it was very rainy & the track in very boggy. We made it (yeh!!!!) but hairy.
Mark set us up by the river with a fire pit & wood.

This was my 1st camping experience and it was definitely exceptional. The views were amazing the campsite was easily accessible. Mark was the camp head and he was very helpful and provided everything we needed.
I would definitely recommend this campsite.

Overall was a great camp site. Only problem was they should really state you need a 4wd to get in because we were delayed by a few hours to leave as it was way too sloshy to get out and people were getting towed out. So great place if you have the 4wd :)

Oh Mark, what a place you have. We stayed at the ‘Hideaway’ spot and it was soo worth it. The spot was a 2 second walk to a private beach, the area was totally shaded and Mark even had a fire lit waiting on arrival for us! There was heaps of firewood around and the toilets were a good set up. Highly recommend :)
