So peaceful! The pups had an amazing time. Will definitely go back. Just watch when Diesel the dog comes for a visit, he pees on everything including tent windows!

Great country views. Plenty of sheep and kangaroos around to watch. A lot of bird life and the occasional Goanna climbing a tree
Would definitely recommend and we will be back !

What an awesome place to stay. We spent 2 nites and were the only ones there. Very easy to understand directions. So many birds. Loved watching the lambs frolicking around. Vince was so helpful. Loved meeting Diesel the dog.

*Paddock Stay, But Not Quite What We Expected*
"We stayed at this paddock, thinking it would be close to Grenfell as the app said it was 30km away. However, it was a bit of a basic experience, and we wouldn't return. The one positive was that we were able to have a fire, which was nice.
For the price, we felt there were better options out there. We've found many other places that offer more amenities and value for the buck. If you're looking for a simple paddock stay, this might be okay, but if you're expecting more, you might want to look elsewhere."

*Disappointing Experience at Ben Hall Camp*
"We were really looking forward to staying at Ben Hall Camp, thinking it would be close to Grenfell and Forbes. However, after a lot of trouble finding the exact location, we discovered it was actually on a property named Wentworth, nowhere near Grenfell. It felt like the name Ben Hall Camp was used to entice travellers, but the reality was quite different.
The accommodation itself was a paddock in the middle of nowhere, with the only bonus being that dogs could be off-leash. We had the place to ourselves, but never met the host, which wasn't a big deal for us. However, considering the price, we felt it was overpriced for what it was. The lack of directions to get there was also a major issue.
Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend Ben Hall Camp to others due to the misleading location and lack of amenities. Maybe others might have different expectations, but for us, it just didn't live up to the hype."

On our visit My trusty one year-old yellow Labrador and I were the only signs of life. This made our visit far more memorable. Vince has this set up so that many more can also enjoy simultaneously..

Nice scenic little spot out of the way. Could do with some maintenance though. Perhaps provide fire pit for each site? Don’t know about the charges too. Went from $30 a night to $78 by adding the kids? Why?

Fabulous place, nice and level with lovely views across the water to the Weddins. We were lucky to have it to ourselves for the two nights that we were there but there is plenty of space to spread out. Well set up and maintained by the friendly host and so peaceful.

A nice spot next to a creek very quiet. Even though it was very dry there was still water in spots. It would be even better when it greens up. Will go back again in spring when greener. Great for groups.

We had an amazing time and John and Margret were great hosts, sharing some of the history of the area and giving us guides of the surrounding area. Directions where clear and the property well sign posted. Plenty of firewood about. Handy to grenfell to see the silo art and stroll through the town. Amazing people in an amazing part of the world.

Very peaceful camp with lots of flat areas to set up. Great fire pits which would be perfect for doing a camp oven. If you’re after a bush camp spot where you want to relax and unwind, then this spot is perfect.

Water for fishing & little paddle boat for the kids to splash in.
Not to far from lo al attractions & historic little towns to explore.

This was our third stay here and it was just as good as the previous two. Everyone is well spread out and it’s like camping on your own, you’re not crowded in. The hosts were at as in very friendly and had lots of information on things to see and do in the area. A 10 outta 10 stay - we highly recommend it.

We loved the arra and sit. We had it all to ourselves with the exception of 3 beautiful horses. It is a good place if you just want to get away from everything.

Another wonderful stay at Ben Hall. We had the place to ourselves for a wonderful afternoon swimming and relaxing with amazing star gazing into the night.

The location felt remote, peaceful and we were lucky enough to have the site to ourselves. Vince also escorted us to the venue when he saw us turn in from the main road 🙂 We'd set an alarm for the morning but absolutely didn't need to with all the birds 😆

We had a peaceful and relaxing overnight stay here. Vince came over to say hi. It was great that our dog could wander around and enjoy a swim in the waterhole unrestrained. There was a lot of bird life activity. The sheep came into the paddock in the late afternoon and morning which was nice to see.

Had a lovely 1 night camp on a road trip, set up in the dark by the river but woke up to a beautiful view of the creek and giant gum trees. Dogs had a lovely time running around and having a splash.
Great instructions from the owner on how to get in and we had the whole place to ourselves which was great but there is plenty of room to share too.
Would stay again.
Fire wood was already in a pile next to the pit which was great with our late arrival.
Thanks heaps for the stay.
