Applewood Farm is a peaceful, isolated retreat located in a secluded valley near Kilcoy Queensland. Set on 40 acres of picturesque farmland, it offers a tranquil escape for those looking to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy a classic country experience. The property is nestled within a valley surrounded by majestic mountain views and rolling grasslands. A key highlight is the 1km of permanent shallow running creek, that has nature springs, so even when dry there is still some water in the creek. There are a few spots where the water runs over rocks, and a deeper rock pool. The farm has cattle, horses, goats, and wild deer, running free adding to its rustic charm. Calving season is Aug/Sep so you will see young calves and young Deer. During spring the wild peach are in flower and is a pretty display. • Seclusion: Tranquility: Perfect for campers seeking a quiet getaway away from the crowds. No internet or phone service • Natural Beauty: The site is dotted with pine trees and offers expansive views of the surrounding ranges. • Water Access: The running creek and water holes provide a serene backdrop and opportunities for cooling off or relaxing by the water’s edge. During the dry the creek still has some spots as there’s natural springs but may be low in some places. • Access: The farm is reached via a well-maintained dirt road, making it accessible for most vehicles while maintaining its remote feel. Site Types: The property offers designated sites suitable for both RVs and tents. All sites are private. This is a primitive camping destination. There are no toilets, potable water, or electrical hookups on-site. Guests must be fully self-contained. Generators are NOT allowed. Campfires are permitted (subject to local fire bans), allowing for traditional evenings under the starry Queensland sky. There’s plenty of firewood which you need to collect yourself. There are sites for large RVs and other sites just for swags and tents. • Pets: this property is pet-friendly, happy to have dogs off leash to enjoy their camping experience, unless your dogs chase the livestock or wildlife, then they need to be confined. Campers are required to bring everything they need, including water, and must take all rubbish with them to keep the valley pristine. Pro-Tip: Given the 40-acre expanse and the secluded nature of the valley, this is an exceptional spot to totally get away from the hustle and bustle, it’s isolated and peaceful. Let me know approx eta when booking.

Mown lawn overlooking creek. Very private hidden behind bushes. From the camping spot you overlook shallow creek and there’s a very easy access track to creek. This camping spot is completely private. You can not see houses or others. You have access to the entire side of this part of the property. Many areas with lovely ferns. Take a walk along the creek to find the deeper swimming holes, surrounded by ferns and old large fallen logs. Forage for your own firewood and enjoy a campfire. Suitable for large caravans too. Mown lawn, high on the bank overlooking the shallow creek which is nestled amongst She-Oak Pines. Cattle and deer have pushed tracks down to the creek, some are steep, others are undulating. There’s a mown lawn path along the top of this bank. You can follow the creek and explore. In the dry the creek is only shallow. Plenty of firewood. There are no other camps over this side.

40acres of pastures with a 1km permanent running shallow creek. If you camp at the Applewood’s camp spot then you are not on the creek but still have access to creek and waterholes. You have lovely views of the mountains. There are a few deeper water holes along the creek to swim in, some surrounded with ferns and old fallen logs. Sandy banks and shade. Plenty of old dry wood to enjoy your campfire, just forage and collect. This is a very isolated quiet tranquil property and there’s limited campers often only being yourself, rarely are there 2 campers at the same time. If it’s peace and tranquility you are after than you will find it here. No internet and no phone service.
