Pinch Me (Parry Sound/Nipissing)

4 sites ¡ Lodging4 acres ¡ North Bay, ON
We have 4.4 acres of land on a spring fed lake. (Even though it is spring fed the water is warm for swimming.) We are located between Trout Creek and Port Loring on Hwy 522. We bought the property in October 2021 so we are in very early stages of development on the land. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing. Bring water shoes if you have them. The beach area has not been developed yet. You will have to make sure you have the proper licenses for fishing. Our property is off grid. We do not at this time have running water and the toilet is a clean outhouse - not stinky and disgusting. We have a shower tent which uses an "Iron Hammer" rechargeable portable camp shower. Water has to be brought up from the lake and heated over a fire if you want a warm shower. It's a little extra work, but still worth it. We have a couple of small docks and you can fish right from the dock. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy watching the blue heron and hearing the loons and frogs sing at night. With quiet observation you may get to see the osprey on it's nest on the island just in front of our property. We suggest you stock up on all of your groceries and supplies in Huntsville on your way up or in North Bay if you are coming from the north. Please note that cellular service is intermittent at this time. You can often get some service by walking to the end of the driveway, but you should let people know that you may be difficult to reach during your stay with us.
