Dusty Rabbit Van Life
4 sites · RVs, Tents2000 acres · NMLearn more about this land:Dusty Rabbit Van Life @ Schrimsher Ranch is an alternative camping & Star Gazing location just outside of town, yet close to the open road. A great place to relax under the stars, have a camp fire, and kick back next to your travel rig after a long day. You are welcome to explore the 600+ acres of rolling hills and high desert of our ranch. If you cross a fence you've gone too far, so that makes it easy for you to know where you're at. You might just want to crash for the night in a safe location out on the rangeland or stay a day or two to enjoy the land to walk, mountain bike antelope trails, and maybe even Sniffers the pronghorn antelope will find ya before you head out. This is a primitive site, so leave no trace practice is appreciated and pack in/out is how we do it here. If you come in the summer prepare the morning coffee early and enjoy the desert sun's rays hit the Capitan, but by 9am it will be hot, so be ready! Best star gazing and satellite watching in the world! I have several sites to choose from. But remember to keep an eye on the wind and weather as it can get crazy out here sometimes…..!!! I try to keep the sites stocked with firewood, but fill free to bring your own. Lonely Bull Camp 1 is my most popular site. It is very private and is easily accessible by most vehicles and campers. Ask about Lonely Bull Camp 4x4 if you have a capable vehicle. Amazing stars!! Old Highway Camp is a great alternative if you want something closer to the highway and have a safe private place to pull over, camp, kickback, make a fire and get back to your life on the on the road in the morning. It is closer to the highway, but is quite at night and has great star gazing. Enjoy being greeted by The Mountain in the morning. Let me know where you would like to stay and I will do my best to accommodate you! Safe travels!

Tres Caballos
2 sites · Lodging7 acres · Las Cruces, NMLocals consider this property one of the best secrets of the valley. The main house is an old adobe built sometime in the '30s, added on to over the years. Joe Augustine raised his family as well as race horses here and it is often referred as the old Augustine place. Things I love about this place; a landscape in every direction, all the mountains that create the Mesilla Valley are visible, the way the light changes, the sound of the train, how quiet and peaceful it is, watching the crops grow and change, the very dark nights. It is an amazingly healing space to be, it kinda sucks the hustle right out of you allowing space for expansion.  Come be still and listen. Access to the river and mountains is easy, day trips abound, and town is close enough but not too close. Ask me about an Artist Retreat beginner or masterclasses availableLearn more about this land:Welcome to dark star filled nights and birdsong days. This is your Gateway to all that southern new Mexico has to offer and it's a lot! Your Casita is a very well appointed two bedroom two bathroom, full kitchen, dining area and living room. All with a retro/boho feel, mid century modern meets vintage finds. The vistas are always enchanting and can be enjoyed from either of the covered porches, or out by the stock tank pond, you will have a front row seat to the Dona Ana and Organ Mountains, and probably a couple of exotic horses grazing in the pasture, just because! We have Parks, Monuments, public lands all for the hikers, foodies will delight in the many restaurants, food trucks, brew pubs and distilleries. Arts and culture abound also with a variety of museums, art galleries, theater and fiestas. And yet the farm feels remote, a slice of solitude, it is the perfect gateway to the world and the perfect place to come home to.

High Country Hip Camp
8 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Magdalena, NMWe live on a 5 acre mini ranch right in the Village of Magdalena. We offer very limited access to amenities, but with some notice we can help with with water hook ups, garbage disposal. We have an extra bathroom in the house available for guests to use for toilet and showers, but require arrangements, as we have dogs and will need to unlock house as needed. Folks are welcome to start a fire at the fire pit and say hello to our animals. We have a donkey named Dolly, a goat named Jake, and mini horse named Amber. We also have 2 horses on site named Cowgirl and Chiquita. Check out our second property on HipCamp, Tumbleweeds Diner!

Tierra Soul
8 sites · RVs, Tents65 acres · NMHop Canyon is one of the most special places we have ever experienced. About 2 miles passed the turn off to the Kelly Mine Ghost Town and over the boundary of the Cibola National Forest, our little "camp" is set up just for you. Our guests tell us it's a little slice of paradise. Bring your small "Caravan" and enjoy our magical little place. We don't have proper hook-ups, or dump station, but we think the canyon beauty makes up for it! Moving our urban farm from Portland, Oregon to the New Mexican mountains has been a fun and exciting challenge. We began with a tiny test garden, then graduated to a full kitchen garden, and then moved to our off-grid acreage where we are designing a small-scale regenerative ranching project with our growing herd as well as reestablishing our bee sanctuary / honey spa / artist hive. We are excited to start inviting Farm-Stayers to join us. Join us up the canyon - just minutes from the village of Magdalena for a relaxing get away. We are currently gathering a collection of unique vintage RV & Shepherd Hut accommodations where you can detox and relax. We also have space for dry RV-ers and campers. We offer unique stays for visitors ~ extra special lodging for travelers, retreat spaces for seeking souls, and artist in residency studio spaces for creatives of all sorts . . . Ask us about our plans for trail riding, art experiences, healing retreats, tours, and our B&B family style culinary offerings.
