Our property is nestled between state forests and nature reserves, near the village of Nymboida which is approx. 44km southwest of Grafton. You will find a variety of bird life and by night our marsupials. Bandicoots, possums and if you have a keen eye, owls. With 1.5km of creek frontage, you can explore away, fish in the waterhole for freshwater catfish or go for a walk along one of the valleys. Situated on 650 acres in hill country. You will certainly find something for your relaxing getaway.Pitch your tent in a variety of places, we have two areas available that offer complete privacy from other campers. Mill Flat (the location of the steam mill that was built when the property was a logging property) is located on around 3 acres of mostly flat grass land with direct access to our creek. Nearby, Fruit Orchard Hill is the location of the original home before the fires, the outlook from here is of the sheer mountain range of the neighbouring National Park. This camping area is elevated.Our third site is not so private but is the most central and conveniently located for exploring the creek and gaining access with big campervans. If staying longer you can go for a white water kayak in the Nymboida River only 15 min away or head the other way to discover endless National Parks that stretch from the property to Dorrigo.We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and water. You must have your own amenities.Well behaved dogs are most welcome to join you. Although we are pet friendly, please be aware and courteous to other campers. If your pet needs to be tied up please do so.We recommend 4WDs to access the campsite. Some places can be accessed by 2WD and walk to campsite. Caravan drivers need to be competent for hilly terrain and tight access, some roads are cut into steep ground and have very little give. However Site 1 is easy access for caravans. Horizon Oasis is a 30 acre ever evolving permaculture and organic multi faceted farming property located just outside of Coutts Crossing.
Situated 20 minutes south of the historic township of Grafton and 55 minutes north of Coffs Harbour we have the best of both worlds. We are in the country and yet so close to the coast with Yamba beach (45 minutes), Red Rock (35 minutes) and Woolgooga (40 minutes) down the road. We are located only a short 15 minute drive off the M1 freeway and 5 minutes from Armidale Road.
Our quiet, pristine country side of semi rural rolling hills and Kangaroo River running along our western boundary provide a relaxing and picturesque place to pull up for a night or 3.

The local region is dotted with weekly markets and other tourist entertainment options. You can find a number of public riverside spots to spend the day lazing on a sandy beach and enjoying beautiful swimming holes within a short 5-10 minute drive of the property
Although we are always introducing new attractions to our property, it is always a comfortable place to stay and will likely always be different each time you come back to stay. Developments in the pipeline will be the addition of animals, an orchard, a dam and Aquaponics vegetable production which are currently in the works. We currently have 18 chickens and 10 Angus cattle on the property and fresh organic free range eggs can be purchased at request.

What a slice of heaven!
We came on a cloudy couple of days but it still did not disappoint.
Our daughter and dog had so much land to run around on and he creek was magnificent!! Yes there is a bit of muck in the water but who cares!? It was still Crystal clear and warm.
We had a visit off the hosts puppy who was adorable anda brief interaction with the host who was super friendly and respectful.
Couldn’t fault a thing!!!
It required three river crossings and a small but steep Hill to get to the campsite. We are no way experienced caravans but we managed all obstacles fine. No need for putting down tyre pressure or using recovery gear.

The open kitchen covered area is so nice to cook sit and watch the water ,sit around the fireplace and then sleep in your tent by the water .

This place that Sammy and his family has made is an absolute piece of paradise.
Absolutely everything we loved about this place, our own patch of lush green grass, some spectacular trees and the best little swimming hole. Deep in some sections which was great for the big kids and adults and shallow in areas that was great for the little ones.
I don't have words to say how beautiful this off-grid spot is. I wish it was closer as I
would come here every chance i got.

We had the best time at Hyland hideaways for 5 nights. The outdoor kitchen area was amazing and we had our own little beach on the creek that was great for fishing and paddle boats. The kids and adults all had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to visit again!

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Horizon Oasis. The open paddock site was well kept, with beautiful views down to the creek and neighbouring paddocks. Clint's onboarding message, including directions, was clear and easy to follow. Really well priced for an affordable getaway or overnight stay if you're travelling on the road. Would definitely recommend a stay at Horizon Oasis 👍🏻👍🏻

This location is so beautiful and very private 🤩 Our host Sammy was great and provided heaps of info to help us locate the campsite easily. The causeway crossings were easily managed in our 4WD and small hybrid caravan. Definitely recommend this one ☝️
