Ross Lake/Beach, the remodeled Beaverton Tavern, park, an ice cream shop and splash park are all located within a long walk or short drive. We are close to Gladwin, Ross Lake, ORV trails and the Juicy Bone. The river flows into Wixom Lake which is anticipated to be back in 2025. Sandy beach with river access .
You can access the river from our canoe portage on the property. Good fishing, swimming or just hanging out. You can also canoe, kayak or tube beautiful Tobacco River or sandy Cedar River. Picnic tables and fire pits are located throughout the property. Good music, games, sing a longs. Hike through the trails to get to the the enchanted cedar forest which is all located in the campground. Quiet, despite a nearby road/bridge, and situated on the Tobacco River, Riverdaze offered me a private retreat while visiting friends nearby. I stayed for 3 nights with two pups and enjoyed the hospitality of the host as well as the convenience of nearby activities and restaurants. The hosts are putting work into the property, with improvements, and I'll keep it in mind if in the area again. The sites are perfect for tenters, small trailers, or those interested in boondocking with fire rings and picnic tables provided. A new treehouse and available water activities are great for families and adventurists.

Very private campsite with gorgeous view of the stars. We overall had a nice trip, but would make a few adjustments:
- The camp site was smaller than I was expecting based on the photos.
- The walk down to the creek was nice, but could definitely use some maintenance to help clear up the stinging nettle and poison ivy.
- There is poison ivy everywhere along the campsite perimeter, so I wouldn’t recommend this site to groups with pets of kids.
- The entryway is marked with blue reflectors (not rocks like the description says)

I loved tent camping at Kristina and Kevins Land! Right on the River it truly puts you in a daze. There's a beach to hang out at and some short but nice trails. Super welcoming as having a campground runs in Kevin's blood. We will be back 🤟✌️

Great camping experience overall. Loved the location- lots of cute local farmstands nearby to stop at and beautiful scenery.
We fit 2 small tents on the cleared site and easily could have fit 1-2 more. The site feels secluded and safe. Coyotes started barking around dusk and did not stop until dawn. We took a walk down to the river (follow the pink blazes) but the path was very overgrown once you got down to the bottom and the tall grass was irritating our skin, even through pants, so we didn't linger. Lots of thorny plants (blackberries) everywhere. Did not see any ticks and surprisingly low mosquitos. The site came with a couple of nice logs to burn and we had no problem finding kindling and branches nearby for the fire. There were also a few tools, like a shovel, rake, and fire pokey thing.
Note: the little road to the site is hard to find but just be smart about it. I downloaded google maps for the area and saved the coordinates and was able to use the satellite image to find the way (it is marked by two reflectors but there is also a sign that says no trespassing before you see the HIP sign). We did have a little intermittent cell service but don't count on it.
I was with a friend this time but would feel safe camping alone here as a woman.

The host was amazing! He doted over us making sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. Quiet, incredibly clean and manicured. The river was fantastic. After I forgot what I needed for kayaking, the host offered their kayaks which we spent the day on. So peaceful. The town had a great ice cream shop, out of town was great BBQ. We will return.

What a beautiful and secluded sight! It was perfect to pull our car in and so much space! A little hard to find as the markings are different than what’s in the description. When we went it was marked with blue reflective circles on stakes and a small sign on the drive in that said HIP. Rake, shovel, etc available for fire safety was amazing, no bucket available though. Be careful going down to the creek, we ran into some stinging nettle, not the worst but long pants is a good idea! The creek is small but so calm and nice to visit and take a walk in! Had some animal sounds accompany us from neighboring farms; some roosters and a donkey mostly. They weren’t too loud and didn’t impact our stay at all (we thought it was pretty funny, the donkey had a lot to say). Would definitely stay here again!

We loved this spot. The tent spot under the tree is great, the tent stayed in the shade all day and kept us cool. The spot gets a lot of sun midday but the mornings and evenings are nice and shady. The only down side was how overgrown the trail to the creek and the driveway were. The plants on the trail all have thorns and grabby plants that give off a foam that hurts pretty bad when it’s on your skin. The trail and the path to the camp need to be trimmed back, our mini van was getting scratched up trying to get into the site. Other than that the spot is very peaceful and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.
