Level grassed site, good views. Plenty of space for the dogs to run. Hosts were great, told us of some unmarked gorges and waterfalls to explore.

4 nights at Kingfisher Kampers, Nana Glen

Beautiful peaceful spot with access to your own bathroom and undercover area. Walked the dog through the property to explore the creek and river area. The local townships have cafes and bakery. Had access to power and water if needed. Thanks to Rob & Karel for their hospitality

Weekend Trip to Vallis Oakes

One of the nicest hipcamps we have stayed at!! We had the most peaceful night at Sammy’s property. Crystal clear waters and quiet bushland that was exactly the refresh we needed. It was a pleasure to meet Sammy and his family including their beautiful dog Banjo. It is clear that they take great pride in their slice of paradise and we were grateful to experience it for a night. Sammy was the perfect host and made sure to explain exactly how to access the property. Thank you again for being kind and understanding about our little pup Hank not being dog-social on our trip. We felt completely welcome and can’t wait to return!

We recently stayed at this incredible campsite and was genuinely impressed! The amenities were far beyond what we expected—clean facilities with a hot shower, which felt amazing after a long day of exploring. The site itself is thoughtfully laid out with tracks running through the property, perfect for short hikes or morning strolls to take in the peaceful surroundings. What made the experience truly special were the hosts—they were absolutely lovely, welcoming, and full of great local tips, they genuinely care about creating a great experience for their guests. Their warmth added so much to the overall vibe of the place. Can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Vallis Oakes

Redcamp is as beautiful, if not more beautiful, than it appears in the photographs. Even though it rained during our stay it didn't stop us from enjoying a swim in the beautiful crystal clear waters of the swimming hole. My 3 year old granddaughter loved playing with the river pebbles and we enjoyed the grassy open space. No bindis or weeds, great for running around barefoot, great fire pit too. Make sure that you take everything you need as Bowraville is a good hour away. The hosts were friendly and welcoming as too was their dog Banjo who visited often. Firewood is available to purchase on arrival, so no need to carry it with you.

Stunning and serene scenes from a fairytale. Super nice and accommodating folk. Charming and complete facilities. Will definately come for a longer stay!

What a great place!! Beautiful spaces to explore and enjoy. Camping areas have been cleared and well cared for. The trail to the waterfall is easy to follow and the falls are simply amazing. Well worth a visit. Rod has created a lovely space.

Your own private waterfall!!! Need I say more. We stayed in the fenced area which was so nice to let the doggo run around. The hike to the waterfall is a bit steep but my goodness it is worth it If your looking for, off grid, peace and serenity give this place a go. However if you have someone over 15f I would probably give it a miss. The roads are very treacherous. We have a 18 f caravan and it was truly a mission

A beautiful property with crystal clear water even when raining , easy directions to find the property and plenty of privacy for a quite peaceful camp . The drive up was scenic too We will be back

Lovely spot. Unfortunately it was a wet weekend, the kind where it didn't stop! Pulled the pin early and the hosts offered to let us come back at another time to finish the time for free. Already planning another trip to the area and hoping for some dry weather!

We had an amazing time camping here. The location is absolutely beautiful — nestled in a peaceful valley with a gorgeous lake that made the perfect backdrop for a relaxing stay. Communication with the hosts was seamless, the facilities were clean and everything was really well organised. Being able to feed the calves was such a lovely, unexpected bonus and even the rain and mud couldn’t deter me from wanting to come back. Can’t wait for the next visit! Wil probably try out the hilltop area next time.

Perfect spot to stay when there was so much rain. The large shed with table tennis and hot showers. Concrete slab so camper trailer didn’t sink into grass. When the sun did come out a beautiful spot and we enjoyed having a camp fire.

Great spot, seemed to have enough flat spots, cool things around the property. Definitely a fun spot with good views. Bathroom was clean and tidy with a view. Would be great to have some firewood available on the property but you can come prepared. Almost zero noise from highway too.

Loved camping on the river, watching the cows and birdlife around us. Great 'paddock' setup for toilet and showers. Very relaxing and easy.

3 nights at Frog Hollow on Bobo River

The river that flows through the property is absolutely stunning. Arne is an absolute legend. It’s a bargain. Theres firewood you can purchase for cheap, an axe to use, a decent pit toilet. I was totally fine to access the camp sites in my 2wd even during lots of rain. The causeway is easy to cross. The town of Ulong is cute, with decent little general store and cafe. Again though, Arne is just a total legend. I personally found site 2 to be the best one as it had a bit more of a private feel and easy access to a beautiful part of the river. Hardly any mossies (there in April), but did see just the odd leech after heavy rain so if it looks wet bring gumboots and bug repellent/deet.
