Just five kilometers outside of Margaret River, we welcome campers to come and experience the magic of Fair Harvest. The gardens and farm of Fair Harvest were established in 1995 and have matured into an extensive Permaculture demonstration system. In 2022, we were proudly awarded the nationally-recognised Eco Certification for Ecotourism camper amenities include 2 showers ( on timer as we have limited rainwater), 2composting toilets, and an outdoor kitchen built from timber harvested onsite. We are dedicated to creating a more sustainable lifestyle and sharing our beautiful farm with others. As a permaculture farm recycling is a huge part of our culture so please read our detailed guidelines to waste management for campers. The farm features extensive food gardens , a beautiful Yoga Barn, and a farm and forest walks. Our campground is close to town, bush walks and cycle trails. Enjoy eco-friendly amenities and a great vibe, a place to retreat in a beautiful part of the world. Visit the animals, discover our veggie garden and observe the many birds part of our ecosystem. Due to farm commitments, events, courses and retreats, the campground is open to the public only certain times of the year. Open everyday during holidays and long weekend. Open Wednesday to Sunday outside holidays Closed from mid june till mid September We have limited space for caravans, RVs and camper trailers. Please message us first to make sure we still have space. Please note that shady site are limited. We highly recommend campers to read the rules before arrival, thank you in advance! Fair Harvest Retreat Rules 1 - CHECK IN is between 2 and 6 pm, for late arrivals let us know your ETA. CHECK OUT by 10 am 2 - ON ARRIVAL, stop at the self check-in area. Register your details. Find your name and camp site number on the whiteboard. Grab a map and set up your camp. 3 - KIDS should always be accompanied beyond the immediate campground. 4 - Enjoy a SHORT WALK around the gardens. We kindly ask you to keep the gates closed and not to pick the food. FARM WALK, follow the walk trail sign around our forest about 30/40 min.. 5 - DOGS should be on a lead at all time, we do have 1 designated paddock (not fenced) where you can have your dog off leads, please ask us. Please make sure your bins and food are out of reach. 6 - FIRE - you are welcome to light the communal fire (firewood provided)   this is the only fire allowed on site. We are doing our best to provide a great recycling model. PLEASE help us …. All food even meat should be given to the chickens (bin in the kitchen) There is a 10C refund bin (this goes to charity) A recycling bin at the front gate. A general waste bin at the front gate. We do not accept mixed rubbish in our bin, so if you don't separate take them away with you. We will be more than happy to explain and help you with your waste. 8 - QUIET time from 9pm - please be mindful of others campers - no parties or late music. No generators. 9 - VISITORS between 9 - 4 and please ask them to park in the general carpark 10 - We are a SMOKE FREE farm.

The farm ground campsites are for those who are looking to escape with no power, no water and no facilities and little mobile coverage if you are not with Telstra. Campers need to be fully self contained. We are a biodynamic winery and farm, our vines were already established when we purchased the land just over 3 years ago and some of the first planted in the region. The farm is a working farm and well.. a massive work in progress. Our passion is the land, the environment, making good wine, listening to music, eating good food and sharing all of this with our community. We are opening up our farm to share with like minded souls who share the same passions as us (our community). Over the years we have started to learn about the secret spots on our property. The ones which are secluded, capture beautiful pieces of light at certain times of the day, where the black cockatoos love to rest on the branches of the gum trees, the areas where weeping peppermints create a haven and the frequencies of the frogs elevate at certain times of the year and times of the day are so loud that you cant hear yourself think. As a result we have several spots on our property we would love to share with like minded people who have a love for nature, music and wine. PLEASE BE AWARE WE HAVE NO FACILITIES such as toilets, showers and water. Our region 'Margaret River' is famous for wine but there are so many other things that make this place special. A wild but beautiful coastline uninhibited by people, karri forest, caves, mountain bike trails and a 120km coastal walk. We are also known for surfing and close by are a number of world famous breaks including Surfers Point which is located 20 minutes from the farm. Closer to the farm you can enjoy a short walk to a beautiful winery called SI Vintners, drive to The Berry Farm or the quirky town of Witchcliffe. At Witchcliffe you will find Darnell's General Store which has a gift shop (The Shed), cellar door (Amato Vino), coffee shop (Witchy Brews) and fantastic pub (Dear Darnells), newly opened McHenry Hohnen Vintners wine bar and vintage stores which it has become renown for.

We absolutely loved our stay at Fair Harvest Retreat — it was exactly what we needed for our time in Margaret River! We stayed for a week over the end‑of‑year holidays and it couldn’t have been better. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and immaculately maintained, with such a warm, homey feel. The kitchen and amenities were spotless and inviting, with plenty of hot water. Having the café right on site was such a bonus — the food was fantastic and so convenient, making it easy to relax and really enjoy the place without having to go anywhere for breakfast. It was the perfect spot to unwind, and we would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend!

This is such a beautiful place to stay! There’s so much to compliment, the campsites are peaceful; trees and picnic tables around There’s a large fire pit and camp kitchen, showers and toilets are good. Showers are on a 3 minute timer due to rainwater which is great, unless you want to wash your hair 😅 There’s a fridge with local farm food to purchase as well as a cafe on site, which has all locally produced food and food from the farm itself, and it tastes incredible There are horses, walk trails and the farm dogs are gorgeous Definitely would stay here again! Thank you

Had an amazing stay! Jodie and her co-workers were very welcoming, helpful. Nothing was too much hassle for them. Directions, check in and instructions for our stay were easy. Highly recommend breakfast at their cafe along with their produce. The horses and dogs very friendly and liked to pay us a visit. Also a special mention to Meg. We will be back!
