The gardens and farm of Fair Harvest were established in 1995 and have matured into an extensive Permaculture demonstration system. In 2022, we were proudly awarded the nationally-recognised Eco Certification for Ecotourism camper amenities include 2 showers ( on timer as we have limited rainwater), 2composting toilets, and an outdoor kitchen built from timber harvested onsite. We are dedicated to creating a more sustainable lifestyle and sharing our beautiful farm with others. As a permaculture farm recycling is a huge part of our culture so please read our detailed guidelines to waste management for campers. The farm features extensive food gardens , a beautiful Yoga Barn, and a farm and forest walks. Our campground is close to town, bush walks and cycle trails. Enjoy eco-friendly amenities and a great vibe, a place to retreat in a beautiful part of the world. Visit the animals, discover our veggie garden and observe the many birds part of our ecosystem. Due to farm commitments, events, courses and retreats, the campground is open to the public only certain times of the year. Open everyday during holidays and long weekend. 68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this small, isolated pocket. We have five sites available for self-contained campers. We do not offer any facilities. Self-contained campers/vans only, you MUST bring everything with you including a toilet. Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region. Redgum Hill Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting. Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter. Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Hidden Corner Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind. Shed Pad (No longer has bathroom facilities) Shed Pad is our only powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed. It has a patio area with a table and 4 chairs (an extra 2 can be provided if required). WIFI is also available for an additional fee. It is an intimate site, perfect for one large caravan or two small caravans and a couple of swags/tents. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. it is at the entrance to the property next to the main shed and in close proximity to the house.

We had an amazing stay at Jarvis Estate Winery. The campsite sits right beside the vineyard, and waking up to rows of vines and soft morning light was honestly stunning. Our dogs absolutely loved it too – plenty of space to wander, sniff and explore, and the relaxed, open setting made it really easy to enjoy the weekend with them. We camped with friends, and the grassy sites were perfect for setting up our camper and outdoor area. There was loads of room, a really peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful trees offering shade. It never felt crowded, even with other campers around. The location is fantastic. We spent time in the Boranup Forest, and it was absolutely magical – towering karri trees, quiet trails, and that deep forest stillness you can’t help but soak in. Back at the winery, the wines were incredible. The staff were genuinely warm, friendly, and welcoming, creating such a relaxed experience. Tastings felt personal rather than rushed, and it was lovely enjoying a glass right where the grapes are grown. Overall, this spot is the perfect mix of nature, good wine, and easy, peaceful camping. Our friends loved it, our dogs loved it, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Amber Ridge Estate

My wife and I loved our weekend at the Amber Ridge Estate, staying at the Valley Vista ground. Was very secluded, private, quiet, and relaxing. Nestled a the top of the grounds, at the back, we didn't see anyone all weekend once we went through the gate. Could birdwatch, listen to the kangaroos in the state forest, and play with our dog in the field. Weather was wet, windy, sunny - all 4 seasons in one day, but that is Donnybrook and the south-west. Mick greeted us as we entered and gave us a folder of things to do in the area, which was very much appreciated. Great little spot to get away for some off grid.

So awesome to camp along the vineyards. Plenty of room and you can have a camp fire. Very central to all the attractions and the lovely little town of Cowaramup. Excellent wines too!
