In winter, horses sometimes graze freely in the paddocks, and you feel the peace and quiet of a rural property. We offer potable water and a pristine natural setting, but we kindly ask that you bring everything you'll need to remain self-sufficient, however we now have a portaloo available for use. Located just 15 minutes from Geraldton and its beautiful beaches, Hill River Farm is far enough away to immerse yourself in nature’s tranquility and safety and security that being rural entails. Animals, bikes, canoes, walking and swimming. This property features paddocks with shady trees. Situated close to the river. The beach is a short drive away. Horses and small animal experience available, ask on arrival. I recommend booking a walk with the horses the river for an hour. This campsite has access to a beautiful toilet/hot shower and drinking water supply in the workshop. There is also an outdoor shower in a water tank surround and an outside bath heated by a fire. Small camp kitchen with coffee machine, fridge, sink and bench also in the workshop. Large outdoor movie screen, we generally screen family movies on Saturday night among the gum trees and strings of lighting. Please enquire if you are interested. Campfires and bonfires permitted in winter. No fire from October to May. While you're here check out the Greenough walk and cycle track that follows the river. It's only 3km to the beach, and you can walk or take your bike there (bike hire is available in town). We have canoes. Greenough Settlement/café and Wild Life Park close by. Pets welcome on a lead. Off lead welcome after we had met and chatted. Dogs are a danger to all horses, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens. Off lead without consultation will not be tolerated. Please enter Devlin Pool Rd at the Northern end where it meets Jandanol Rd. We are the 3rd driveway.

Magnificent 15 acre block set amongst an abundance of mature native trees with flat camp sites. Set along side the Greenough river and Greenough nature trail. You will enjoy a variety of birds whilst relaxing in one of the six natural bush sites. Each site is private, has its own composting toilet, solar powered led lights and usb port. There is a unique shared bush shower from a tree. Just over the road is the of 17 km nature trail around the very scenic Greenough River. Only 15 minutes from Geraldton and 7 minutes to our treasured surfing and dog beach. Dogs are very welcome but must be on a leash whilst on the property as there is friendly chooks and sheep wandering around.

Would highly recommend stopping at this beautiful place. I arrived to a warm welcome from Sara, she was very accommodating and understanding as she helped me settle in. The place was beautiful with heaps of room for for families and a walk away from the river . I got to park near the horses and the pony , too cute 😊 Thank you Sara for making me feel welcome 🙏

1 night at Dongara Bush Camp

Dongara Bush Camp was a fantastic place to base ourselves for the Dongara area. Although the Coastal conditions were hot and windy, the DBC site was sheltered and shaded. It was a short 5 minute drive to the beach and shops but it was always great to return to the peaceful bush camp. Having a super clean flushing toilet and delicious rainwater was a great bonus. We enjoyed the spacious camp kitchen which was full of character and provided a comfortable place to relax and share a meal. We came for one night and stayed for three, we could not recommend this place highly enough.

We had a fantastic stay at Hill River Farm. We had plenty of space and privacy and the setting was really peaceful. The grounds and toilet are kept immaculate and Anita has been a fantastic host! This is a great spot to base yourself if you’re visiting Geraldton but want some serenity. Our dog travelled with us and there was lots of room for him to play.

Fabulous stay! Would come back in a heartbeat! Anita is such a helpful, friendly host. She has a beautiful, well kept farm and the paddock is lovely with grass and plenty of shady tree's. Heaps of space for the kids and a great base to hangout whilst exploring and restocking in Geraldton.

This has to be our favourite Hipcamp ever!!! Sara was so kind and took amazing care of us. A stunning and peaceful location just out of Geraldton and only a couple of minutes off the highway. Our boys loved saying hi to the horses. We loved having a camp with a hot clean shower and a kettle!!!
