Weekend Trip to Jacaranda Hill Farm

Fantastic stay on a beautiful property with wonderful hosts, Robert and Sarah.. We stayed at the Bush Camp site with nice views over the main dam which the kids enjoyed, and a short stroll to the compost toilet which was nice and clean. Loved that you are able to have a campfire at your site when fire restrictions allow. Plenty of birds in the surrounding trees and great views. Will be back again!

Great picturesque location just over an hour from Perth. We had Jacaranda #2 that had lots of room for our 3 caravans which was well away from other campers. We will definitely be back!

This place is absolutely magic. Just an hour from Perth but it feels like you're 5 hours away, a perfect getaway trip if you want some peace and reconnect with yourself and Nature. The eggs were incredibly good, and Robert was lovely at the check-in. Definitely a place where I left my heart

It was really peaceful and the views were beautiful. The hosts were very welcoming and really friendly. It is really close to Pinjarra in case you forget any supplies and Pinjarra is a nice little town . My dogs had a ball swimming and playing around dam .

We had a great time at Jacaranda hill farm, our site was at the Auditorium, plenty of space with no other campers around us. We had campers walking past while on walks which was nice to see. Beautiful sunsets from our camp ground. Robert was there to meet us when we checked in, we also bought some of the farm eggs which were delicious. We will definitely go again and maybe bring along some others with us.

We had a lovely few days at the farm. Such a beautiful location and so close to Perth. I would highly recommend checking this place out. Has a great homely feel about it and the sunsets were amazing. Already looking at a return visit and seeing what some of the other sites are like.

Stayed at redgum site, offers privacy and a view of the dams, where there is a glamping powder room/eco friendly long drop. Lots of bird life, few kangaroos and the moo of cows from a distance. We were lucky enough that the stars were out. Actual site is on a slight slope, but we manage for two nights with two tents. The host are welcoming and we will definitely return to experience other sites.

We had a fantastic stay at Jacaranda Hill – the perfect spot for a shakedown trip in our new van. Peaceful, spacious, and full of charm. The kids had a blast with plenty of room to run around, and the dog was absolutely pooped after all the fun! Sunset was a highlight – fish were literally boiling on the surface, making it feel like we were in the middle of nature’s own show. The camp toilet setup was clean and convenient too, which made things super easy. We’ll definitely be back with the rest of the family. A hidden gem!

Jacaranda Hill Farm

We are closed from 1 Dec through to 31 March due to High Fire Risk. Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush. There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property. Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :) Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter. Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions). We are closed over the summer period due to increased fire risk.

We often have Kangaroos, Wallabies, occasional Echidnas, Goannas, Lizards and many species of Birds. All live in the wild and there is no guarantee that we will see them We grow wildflowers such as Proteas, Leucadendron , Leucospermum (pincushions),Banksias , Eucalypt - Silver Dollar, and Cut Flowers - Osteospermum, Zinnia and Gladioli, Kangaroo Paw and Bromeliads. We also have our native species - Grass Trees, Zamia Palm and Golden Wattle . We also have fruit trees, chooks and a vegetable garden. BUSH STAY ACCOMMODATION is available.The Olivia Cabin which will accommodate up to four people.TV,DVD, aircon, fridge, toaster, kettle and cutlery, plates etc. We also have a large comfortable Tent to accommodate up to four people. Set up for the real bush experience. TV, DVD ,table and chairs .Beds and mattresses,sheets ,blankets, pillows, and doonas can be provided. You may bring your own tent,but only up to a mid sized four man tent.This is not an RV site. Hear all the sounds of the bush at night! Check out the stars planets and the moon. The sky is so clear out here. Caravans/Camper trailers are also welcome. One Powered site available. A toilet, shower and Barbeque facilities are available and our Fire Pit is ok to use in Winter and share some toasted Marshmallows. Local attractions include: Toodyay Emu Park, Archery Park, Avon Valley National Park and the Avon River, Paruna and Karakamia Wildlife Sanctuaries, Toodyay Townsite - Connors Mill,The Old Gaol and many other historical sites ,shops and restaurants. You can also visit the Swan Valley where there are many wineries ,pubs and restaurants.

1914 Train Tiny Home - Perth Hills

Cute and careful rebuild creates this charming tiny home for 1 or 2 travelling light. Overview

Between the Swan River and the Indian Ocean, Fremantle is a popular spot for caravan campers looking to avoid the bright lights of Perth but still enjoy a taste of the cosmopolitan life. A short drive from all the main sights, Fremantle’s caravan campgrounds are a great way to soak up the city vibes, while still enjoying all the usual amenities like camp kitchens, dump points, water and laundry. Some of Fremantle’s best caravan parks are even right on the coast, so you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves and swim on hot summer days. If you prefer being out in the bush, you don’t have to head too far south or east of Fremantle to find nature-based caravan sites and campgrounds. Usually much quieter than Fremantle’s caravan parks, they’re still close enough to zip in for the day and hit up the museums or the Fremantle Markets without having to worry about finding parking for the big rig.
