4 nights at Rose’s Reserve

If you’re looking to unplug and truly escape, Rose’s Reserve is the place. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by our friendly hosts who made us feel instantly at home. Their warmth set the tone for what turned out to be one of the most peaceful stays we’ve ever had. There’s something truly magical about the atmosphere here — it’s so quiet and serene, it feels like you could be anywhere in the world. The property has every amenity you could need including a much appreciated solar-heated shower. There are a few small walking trails that are perfect for a gentle stroll, and we loved spotting all sorts of wildlife along the way. On a clear night, the sky turns into a planetarium. No city lights, no noise, just a blanket of stars stretching in every direction. Whether you’re looking to reset or just breathe for a while, Rose’s Reserve is a gem. We’ll definitely be back.

I liked Busselton Holiday Village site was clean and tidy when I arrived, host was helpful telling me where my site was. BHV was within walking distance of shops and amenities 15mins walk or 5minute drive, I enjoyed the walk.

We stayed at the Harmony forest site. The site is spacious and relatively flat. There are many trees that provide shade and protects from the wind. Showers and toilets weren't too far and were clean. It was very easy to communicate with the hosts

Weekend Trip to Lewana Campsites

Amazing location and hosts. I stayed at Basecamp with my two dogs and we had a wonderful couple of nights. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of places to walk and for the dogs to explore. Everything you could need is an available, a communal space, toilet and shower. Even a coffee cart in the morning serving the perfect latte.

Weekend Trip to Something Different

What a wonderful stay! I booked Something Different for my 30th. There were 17 of us, some of us in swags. Everything was perfect. Kitchen very well stocked, so many games and activities to do and the dam was such a great place for a dip. Vivien checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed, which was lovely. Will definitely be back. My friends are already asking about booking it themselves!

We had a great stay at the Running Brook site. Errol and Nola were absolutely lovely, and very helpful during our stay. The site is a short walk to the toilet/shower, and the views are stunning whilst walking around the property. We would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you again!

2 nights at Rose’s Reserve

My time at Rose's Reserve was awesome! It is a great private camping spot nestled in the midst of a grove of trees. I reckon there are a couple kms of twisty trails throughout the area around the campsite if you walk them all. The site is adjacent to a couple of paddocks and a horse farm. They exercise the horses every morning as the sun rises from the far side of the track. The site is rustic and has all you could need (BBQ, inside shower (hot water), outside shower (cold water), flushing toilet, bins for rubbish and recycling, picnic table, water hose hook up, and more). They even provide some towels and a snake bite kit! The site has lots of birds. There was a nice breeze as you walk around the bush. There is a mob of roos that are out at dusk in one of the paddocks as well. They even have a couple of nice log seats set up in the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Beautiful spot! Liz and Ross were brilliant hosts. Liz communicates with you on the app to set up the stay and checks in while you are there. Ross meets you at the house and guides you to the site. He was super friendly and helpful! All in all, 6 out of 5 stars I would say! Looking forward to another visit! Note: only 2 bars max of 4G in certain spots in the bush surrounding the campsite. But who needs bars when you are enjoying the beauty of nature?!

Weekend Trip to Something Different

Something Different was the perfect location for our group's weekend retreat. All the facilities we could need, and plenty of space inside and outside. The big barbecue made catering for our group a breeze. We enjoyed swimming in the dam and playing table tennis and board games. Our group was a bit bigger than the maximum listed number, but Vivien was happy for us to pitch a few tents outside. There's definitely enough space for a large group. The price is extremely good value for such a well equipped venue. I would absolutely recommend Something Different to anyone looking to host a getaway for a large group.

I loved staying at Liz retreat,the farm is in a fantastic location the bird life and walk trails are great, a very rustic camp grounds, will be returning very soon for our go to get away.

My experience of staying in unpowerd tent area with Rac holiday park was amazing, there was other people but was not noisy. I loved it there.

2 nights at Something Different

Absolutely loved our time at the Something Different shed. My friend and our collective three dogs (two border collies, one aussie shepherd puppy) had a blast kayaking on the dam, exploring the shed paddock, and playing with the resident kelpie pup Alfie. Shed is huge, beds are super comfortable, kitchen has everything you need to cook whatever you'd like - we've already booked to come back in winter!

1 night at Lewana Campsites

I stayed at the Base Camp for one night. I loved the privacy on offer as well as the views of the hills behind the campsite. There was a lot of room and two different spots at Base Camp that you can park. The toilet and shower on offer is a few hundred metres over a wide path with some lighting as well, the ablutions block was clean and there were soaps provided. The value for money here is great, I'd stay again for sure.

Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region. There are friendly free-ranging chickens, a mischievous mini pig named Peppa (who loves pats), sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. Older children will need to be supervised. Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times. There are no cooking facilities available for guests at present (this could change in the next couple of months as Troy is notorious for making stuff happen lol... so when it does we'll update the information). Therefore you will need to be completely self-sufficient including washing up bucket, cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives). Something Different

Something Different is a large machinery shed that has been converted into a comfortable holiday house with three bedrooms and one bathroom (extra toilet outside) and huge living spaces. You can really kick back here and relax! The walls and ceilings have been extensively insulated. There is a wood heater in the kitchen and another one in the main part of the Shed so it can be kept nice and cosy despite its size! You can drive your car/van inside the shed if you wish or park it under any of the many surrounding trees. The Shed sleeps 10 in total (base price covers all 10), with 1 queen and 1 single bed in one room, 1 dbl bed and 2 single beds in another room, and 1 queen bed and 1 single bed in a third room. All linen, towels, etc. are provided. If you have more people, they are welcome to pitch a tent or park their caravan on the grounds around the shed. For a large group (say 10 plus) we charge an extra $20 (total) to cover the extra power you will need.
