We booked both sites at Paperbark Retreat for 5 caravans over New Year.
Lots of room and flat areas to park up the vans and not be on top each other with shaded areas to sit under.
Great location to just chill out with friends only just over an hour from Perth.
Will definitely be back!

We stayed at Shikuru Site 1 and had an amazing experience. Fiona was incredibly kind and thoughtful — knowing we were travelling with a newborn, she left out a picnic rug and cushion for us, which we used throughout our stay. Such a simple gesture, but it made everything so much easier and more comfortable.
The property itself was fantastic — large, peaceful and clearly well cared for, with many areas mowed by a ride-on at some stage. It’s those small touches that really show how much attention goes into the place.
The whole family were extremely kind, generous and respectful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. And the homemade apple crumble and other goodies they we purchased as extras were absolutely delicious.
Our dogs were allowed off-lead as long as they behaved, which we appreciated. One of ours got a bit too excited at times, but with a bit of common courtesy it was no issue at all.
Overall, Shikuru Site 1 was a beautiful, well-kept spot with genuinely thoughtful hosting. We’d happily stay again.

A beautiful spot! The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The property is close to the dam. The weather was a bit too chilly for swimming, but that didn’t stop our furry friend from jumping in and having an absolute ball! There’s also a paddleboard and a rope swing available for use.
Our furry friend loved having plenty of open space to explore. The National Forest is nearby, so it’s best to keep dogs on a lead in that area due to baiting — but there are no baits on Shukuru Farm itself.
Being a farm, there were a few flies, but nothing a fly net couldn’t fix. The wind was strong during our stay, so most of them were blown away anyway. The fire pits were a lovely bonus, and the starry skies at night were absolutely stunning.
Such a relaxing, peaceful stay — I would definitely recommend staying here!

Spent two nights here and it was lovely. The campsite is really spacious with nice valley views, and being fenced meant our dogs could run around freely which they absolutely loved.
The location is perfect – you can walk straight into Queenwood State Forest from the property. Rachael and Lee are super friendly Hosts. Also highly recommend the crumpets (Extra) they're absolutely delicious!
It felt properly remote without being too far from town.
We'll definitely come back!

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Peak — but honestly, we think our dogs enjoyed it even more! Having recently rescued one, we were looking for a place she felt safe and enclosed while still giving her the freedom to run and explore — and that’s exactly what we found here.
Communication was excellent from start to finish. Rachael and Lee were so easy to chat with, flexible with our checkout, and even left us some firewood at the end of the fire season.
The property itself was peaceful, beautifully set up with incredible views. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a fantastic few days camping at Peak at Perryland Farm. Surrounded by rolling hills, cheeky magpies and the Perryland cows, you unwind from the modern world and settle into relaxing immediately. So many thoughtful touches, from the secure fencing so the dogs had room to sniff and roam off leash (within Peaks boundaries), gorgeous and detailed maps of the property, chopped wood stacked next to the picturesque fire pit - so much thought, care and detail making Rachael & Lee 5 star hosts. The views alone make it worth a visit. A great location to explore the area, we can’t wait to visit again!

We enjoyed our stay at Shukuru’s farm! There was only one other site in view which was only occupied on the second night of our stay so it was quite peaceful having the place to ourselves for the first night! A few trees between the two sites would be great to make the sites completely private as this is something I look for when choosing a hipcamp. Communication from the host was great! The fire pit was an awesome addition & I can see the dam would be lots of fun once it gets a bit warmer!!

Such a fabulous spot, on the top of the hill overlooking the valley. So peaceful at night, the stars are extra bright here. Firepit set up was wonderful and plenty of wood for two nights. The fenced area gave our dogs the freedom to explore. We had crumpets for breakfast - OMG! They are delish and such a treat. A fabulous stay, we will definitely put this on our list of favourites! Thank you for a great stay.
