Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

The oval is the same dimensions AS THE MCG! The site can accommodate up to 30 campers, and you'll have full use of the hall and all facilities. An amazing place for large groups to hold events, and gatherings and only an hour from Melbourne.
Enjoy all the area has to offer, and come back to your own paradise in the bush. Wake up to roos on the oval and enjoy a barbie with your group.

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

Caleb and Clara’s site is so thoughtfully set up! They brought out eggs, bread and wood fire (you can purchase for so cheap). We set our tent a little too far from the power source but Caleb loaned us an extra long lead!
It’s perfect for those of us who want an easy camp!
There is a drop toilet (the cleanest compost toilet ever!) You could hook up a shower if staying longer as the creek was low.
Safe to leave your belongings and wander off too.

We do a fair bit of camping around regional Victoria and this place is our favourite spot to date!
Grace was there to welcome us on arrival. She showed us a few spots we had to chose from to set up camp. She also gave us a run-down of the facilities and where we could swim. We were fortunate to have the entire paddock to ourselves, including the huge rotunda, equipped with a bbq, fireplace and plenty of furniture. It was much too hot to light the fire but we'll definitely be back to make the most of it in cooler weather.
There was also a demountable bathroom, set up with plenty of loos and showers. Hot water with great pressure too.
We spent our afternoons patting the friendliest horses and floating on our inflatables in the dam.
The dam was a small walk from our camping spot. We also played a lot of frizbee with Spot, the dog. A total legend!
We also went for a 25 minute drive to a winery called Philip Lobley Wines. They do wood fired pizzas on the weekend and were definitely something to write home about 👌🏻 worth messaging ahead to book. Wines were great also!
Another highlight was seeing the incredible wildlife on Grace’s Land. Plenty of beautiful birds and we even saw an Echidna!
10/10 experience. It's a scorching summer weekend atm but I can imagine this place being equally as magical in winter. We'll also need to come back to check out the Moto Guzzi museum!

Weekend Trip to Silver Creek Escape
Clara and Caleb have set up a little oasis at the front of their property. Whilst the house is in view of the campsite, you are very much left to enjoy the spacious camp area to yourself. The Silver Creek is just across the road and they are right next to the entrance to Kinglake NP.
You will be the only campers there and can enjoy tank water, power and a very clean compostable toilet. A campfire is also set up for use and you can purchase wood, early check-ins, eggs and sourdough bread.
Highly recommended for people who really want to get away to a quiet secluded area.

Absolutely wonderful stay! We celebrated our friend's birthday over a hot weekend. Thankfully the rec hall on the property was air conditioned and well equipped for large groups. We set up pizza ovens at the bbq area where we made pizza for all our friends.

What an excellent spot, plenty of room and amenities for a large group to camp. Terrific location, just off a main freeway, far enough from the city to get away but not to far. Landlords were great and very accomodating, would definately recomend this place to others.

Stumbled across this absolute gem while looking for a last minute spot to take my three kids (7,5,5) and I could not have been happier. Great little walks without even leaving the grounds, the facilities look like they haven’t even been used and we will 100% be back!
Topped off by really great, super welcoming staff, we cannot recommend highly enough.

Beautiful, peaceful setting around 5km off the highway. We sent 4 nights with 3 other groups scattered around the camping area.
There was plenty of space so that you didn't feel like you were encroaching on others.
We didn't leave the property spending our time exploring the hills, including both a drive & walk up to The Hilton. Facilities were great, toliets, showers & common gazebo. It was also nice to have Spot, Grace's dog visit us each day. Not being dog owners ourselves, he was such a beautiful natured & friendly cattle dog.

What an amazing piece of native land to enjoy and recharge your soul! Thank you Karen and David for sharing your property with us. We loved swimming in the dam and enjoyed sharing the space with all our native animal friends. The full moon made for a spectacular night camping under stars. We will certainly be returning.

Great location! The views of the hills are lovely, the horses gorgeous and the host Grace very welcoming. There's plenty of space between campsites so you're not on top of one another and the gazebo provides a great shady retreat from the summer sun. Loved our stay!

Went with the group of family and friends for the camping. Very good place for camping. Kids enjoyed a lot. Had booekd the lodge too. Clean lodge with enough utensils. Clean bathroom and toilet too. recommend this place
