Loved camping here! Plenty of places to set up the tents and go exploring. The campsite area was clean and well maintained. There were great views of the ranges and surrounding hills. Also the owners were very kind and considerate with our last minute group changes making it very flexible to adjust our costs. Would definitely consider visiting again in the future!

Great spot. Nice set up. Private and lovely. A little tricky to navigate your way to the site. Was hard to find a level spot for the caravan but made do. Bring your own firewood. Had a great stay and looking forward to going back.

We loved our stay - we couldn’t believe how far away it felt yet so close to Melbourne. Truely a secret oasis. Great directions and communication from Michael. The gazebo and amenities were excellent. Loved the hammock too. Went for a swim and watched a beautiful sunset over the hills.

We really enjoyed our time at Castella River Farm. Carly was very helpful in providing all necessary information on where to go and how to get to our spot in the River Camp and providing an unobtrusive, comfortable stay. The kids particularly enjoyed being close to the river and were lucky enough to spot a platypus in the wild. Being able to feed the horses in their space was great too. The property was lovely and easily accessible with a clean and well set up camp site in the middle of nature. I had an extremely relaxing time, especially with the added security of not being completely alone in the wild with myself and two kids in tow. So much so that I took the kids home and came back for a night on my own. Thank you for sharing your space with us.

This is a lovely site. There is enough flat area for pitching 3 family tents and room to kick a ball. The view is stunning. The flushing toilet was a bonus for our 4 year old! The potable water, wood supply and fire barrel made packing to go away easier. The hosts are very friendly. The directions to the site are very clear. I highly recommend this site.

I camped at the River Site, and it's superb. Your own little area, completely surrounded by bush, with the Yea river right there. There's a fire circle, so no need to bring your own pit, a table with chairs, and a platform looking over the river. I loved the privacy, and felt like I was out in the bush. Can't wait to go back.

Castella River Farm is an 8 acre property with many natural features including Mountain Ash trees and bushland near the camp sites. The Yea river runs behind the property and camping areas. Locally we are close to all the Yarra Valley and Kinglake Ranges have to offer from wineries to the National Parks for hiking. We are 10 minutes from Kinglake township and 15 mins to Yarra Glen, which means a quick trip if you need supplies. The highway is close by which makes it handy to get out and about. Wildlife we have seen on the property includes Wallabies, Echidna, and an abundance of bird life. Laugh with the Kookaburras at sunset. Dogs are welcome however due to wildlife and the bush location, we ask that you please keep them on a lead at all times. If you are planning on bringing a dog with you, please let us know in advance. We also have horses (separate from the campsite) that campers can feed a carrot if they wish! Water is available from our stables water tank. It is Tank water so not crystal clear but think of it as euculyptus tea! NB: **We do have neighbours and the highway near by so there will be some noise . Would suit campers who want to kick the footy, wade in the river and maybe go 4wding or out and about fishing. Ok to play your own music near the camp fire as you are far enough away down the back paddock! **Not suited to those wanting to be in the middle of nowhere

The property has you feeling like you are far away from civilisation, yet you are so close to all that Phillip Island has to offer. We are within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, playgrounds and The Phillip Island Chocolate Factory. A leisurely walk will take you to Newhaven on the Island, and then over the bridge to the picturesque seaside village of San Remo. We are just a short drive to popular surf and swimming beaches and all other attractions on the Island. The property is nestled on 32 acres of a natural rural landscape of trees, wetlands with Westernport Bay and Churchill Island views unique to Banksia Park’s location. There are the untouched wetlands, TiTree walks and abundant Wallabies, Cape Barren geese, Purple Hens, Pelicans and Bandicoots The chicory kiln at the entrance is known as the “Bern Denham kiln”. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running. Please Note: Our property and all sites do not have any external power, water or toilet facilities available for campers so you will need to be completely self – contained in a caravan, campervan or roof top tent set up. We actually can not offer Tent Sites (Tents, Swags, sleeping in cars etc) Please confirm that you are fully self contained when making the booking Our check - in on the day of arrival is between 2.00pm - 5.00pm and we appreciate an estimated time of arrival. Welcome to Nanadhong Views. Nanadhong is the local indigenous name for the Cathedral Range. We are located on the western slope of the Cathedral with beautiful views to its peak as well as across the Acheron valley to the Black Range and South to Dom Dom and the Black Spur. This property was previously a home site but was burned out in the 2009 fires. Now being returned to nature and available for camping only. Two dams and a seasonal creek attract birds and local wildlife. A total of 30 acres is available for exploring and enjoying the views. This private location has a single site with power and water, suitable for two vans or several camper trailers, a flushing toilet and further grassed areas suitable for tents and camper trailers. A camp shelter currently under construction will provide somewhere out of the weather with lighting, water and power available. The property is located 30 minutes from Lake mountain where you can ski during winter or hike and mountain bike during summer. Lake Eildon is also 30 minutes away and a great venue for fishing, swimming and boating. The Acheron, Rubicon and Goulburn rivers are close by and suitable for fishing and kayaking. Mountain bike riders can also try the tracks at Buxton or Eildon. There are many hiking/walking options including the historical Rubicon Valley just 20 minutes away. If you are into 4wd’ing or trail bikes there are many tracks in the Black Range across the road or the Big River area.
