Lake Eildon is also 30 minutes away and a great venue for fishing, swimming and boating. The Acheron, Rubicon and Goulburn rivers are close by and suitable for fishing and kayaking. Mountain bike riders can also try the tracks at Buxton or Eildon. There are many hiking/walking options including the historical Rubicon Valley just 20 minutes away. If you are into 4wd’ing or trail bikes there are many tracks in the Black Range across the road or the Big River area.

The land has been used for pasture, mostly for cattle, with a large dam wall which at one time had a small gauge train track on top running to the old port of San Remo. These days the property is used as a hobby farm with a few cattle, a vegetable garden, some fruit trees, and replanting of native trees. We offer three RV/tent sites on the property, with our caretaker also residing onsite. While the sites ensure privacy, guests may encounter others during their stay since restroom facilities are shared among all campers. There is 1 shower with hot water and 1 flushing toilet. Site 1 stands apart from the other two sites, equipped with both power and water. Sites 2 and 3 are situated 20 meters apart, however, guests can spread out more if they do not need power. We're currently in the process of expanding our property, constructing several new sheds. As a result, you might notice building materials on-site. We've made every effort to separate these materials from the campsites and keep them out of the way. Our site is on a very busy main road and is easy to miss if you’re driving fast. I have a big sign on our gate but you may need to slow down in order to see it! The GPS should guide you right to the property. The property, Springwater, is on six acres amongst the tall trees and has two ponds served by a natural spring. We only have one campsite available at the very rear beside the forest so you will have complete privacy. There is an area of thick native forest and a stand of the critically endangered bush, the Round-leaf Pomaderris, right near the camping area. There is an abundance of birdlife at the camping location, including kookaburras, fairy wrens, greater shrike thrushes, robins, bellbirds, wedge-tail eagles, magpies and owls (namely boobooks). We are within easy reach of Toolangi State Forest with many walks and trails, including the WirraWilla Rainforest Walk and the Kalatha Giant Mountain Ash tree walk. This area is also popular for 4 wheel driving and there are plenty of tracks in the nearby state forest if you have the correct gear, vehicle and an appreciation for the wilderness. Healesville, Yarra Glen and Kinglake are equal distance away (18-20 minute drives) with services, plenty of cafes, restaurants, wineries and shopping: Healesville: Coles, IGA, Aldi Yarra Glen: IGA Kinglake: Foodworks Relax around the fire in the evenings (out of the fire danger season) and enjoy some great star gazing. Sorry, no pets. There is a toilet block onsite with a camp toilet but you can bring your own camping toilet if you desire. Please leave our beautiful spot as you found it, take your rubbish with you and respect the natural environment :)

Pitch your tent at the rear of our home with views of Mt Worth and the Baw Baw ranges. \ Enjoy star gazing while sitting by the firepit, listen to the lowing of the cattle and calls of the birds. Walk the forests, cycle the countryside, eat local produce at the local cafes. The campground is a lovely flat area of lawn close to the rear of our home. We would be sure not to disturb your privacy. A short drive away you will find cafe's in Darnum, Yarragon or Warragul. Further afield you'll enjoy Poowong Pub to the south and Noojee Pub to the north. For the nature lovers, Mt Worth is a must, along with Blue Rock Dam in Willow Grove. Our property is located on a road with 100km traffic, however it is not a busy road and should not disturb your time here. Please bring a port-a-loo as we don't have outdoor facilities. There is a public toilet at the Darnum shops. Hot water is available. Gippsland is known for it's high rainfall so do pack a jacket and gumboots. We have a couple of Dexter steer of our own and agist a few other poddy calves. There is a small water rill and self fed dam where the wild ducks congregate. The dam is enclosed with fencing. Please note, all our fences are electric so please avoid touching them! We have stables and a grass arena for horses to agist. Suggested places to ride/walk include the Heritage Horse Trail through Bunyip State Park and nearby Kurth Kiln Regional Park. Walkers will love the Strezleki eucalypts as you walk around Mt Worth State Park or visit the Blue Rock dam in Willow Grove for a summer swim.

Walk the forests, cycle the countryside, eat local produce at the local cafes. The campground is a lovely flat area of lawn close to the rear of our home. We would be sure not to disturb your privacy. A short drive away you will find cafe's in Darnum, Yarragon or Warragul. Further afield you'll enjoy Poowong Pub to the south and Noojee Pub to the north. For the nature lovers, Mt Worth is a must, along with Blue Rock Dam in Willow Grove. Our property is located on a road with 100km traffic, however it is not a busy road and should not disturb your time here. Please bring a port-a-loo as we don't have outdoor facilities. There is a public toilet at the Darnum shops. Hot water is available. Gippsland is known for it's high rainfall so do pack a jacket and gumboots. We have a couple of Dexter steer of our own and agist a few other poddy calves. There is a small water rill and self fed dam where the wild ducks congregate. The dam is enclosed with fencing. Please note, all our fences are electric so please avoid touching them! We have stables and a grass arena for horses to agist. Suggested places to ride/walk include the Heritage Horse Trail through Bunyip State Park and nearby Kurth Kiln Regional Park. Walkers will love the Strezleki eucalypts as you walk around Mt Worth State Park or visit the Blue Rock dam in Willow Grove for a summer swim.

Nestled in the valley of a 1000 hills and on the land of the Taungurung people, this little patch of hilly heaven is home to a small family of farm animals, dog and their two owners. With its rugged natural beauty, amazing sunsets and starry skies, it was hard not to want to share its beauty with others. The property is the gateway to Murrindindi, has power and water for campers, a dam if you enjoy yabbying and perfect for intimate, small groups. We offer a flat campsite and ridge top campsite. Low gear and 4wd preferable during very wet months. NOTE: Campfires subject to fire restrictions at over summer, please message. Our secluded, flat campsite is surrounded by unspoilt bushland and is home to a multitude of native Australian animals. Our ridge-top campsite also features beautiful bush, and some amazing views. With over 50 acres of rugged hilly bushland, no neighbours in sight and tracks to explore, this is the perfect place for those who enjoy a challenging bush walk, privacy and a sky to watch the stars. Campers are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome but must be contained and campers must respect any restrictions in place at the time of their stay. Pets are welcome.

Springwater Forest Camp

The property, Springwater, is on six acres amongst the tall trees and has two ponds served by a natural spring. We only have one campsite available at the very rear beside the forest so you will have complete privacy. There is an area of thick native forest and a stand of the critically endangered bush, the Round-leaf Pomaderris, right near the camping area. There is an abundance of birdlife at the camping location, including kookaburras, fairy wrens, greater shrike thrushes, robins, bellbirds, wedge-tail eagles, magpies and owls (namely boobooks). We are within easy reach of Toolangi State Forest with many walks and trails, including the WirraWilla Rainforest Walk and the Kalatha Giant Mountain Ash tree walk. This area is also popular for 4 wheel driving and there are plenty of tracks in the nearby state forest if you have the correct gear, vehicle and an appreciation for the wilderness. Healesville, Yarra Glen and Kinglake are equal distance away (18-20 minute drives) with services, plenty of cafes, restaurants, wineries and shopping: Healesville: Coles, IGA, Aldi Yarra Glen: IGA Kinglake: Foodworks Relax around the fire in the evenings (out of the fire danger season) and enjoy some great star gazing. Sorry, no pets. There is a toilet block onsite with a camp toilet but you can bring your own camping toilet if you desire. Please leave our beautiful spot as you found it, take your rubbish with you and respect the natural environment :)
