The location itself is 17 acres and is next to the Painkallac creek in a peaceful bush setting. This location used to be a horse riding school which is now not running but has been converted to offer camping, caravan and RV parking. It’s only 1.5 km from the beach and the Otway national park is right on your doorstep. If you have bikes, horses or love to hike or run, it’s a perfect location, be ready to be spoilt as there are so many tracks on offer in our stunning local beach and bush land. The local town of aireys inlet has plenty to offer, a general store for all your essentials, loads of places to eat out for breakfast, lunch or dinner and only 1 3/4hrs from Melbourne. Great location, walking distance to the beach with public tennis/basketball court! Large open space perfect dogs. Would highly recommend!!

1 night at Ingenia Holidays Torquay

Sites are quite small and crammed in, meaning cars are parked in the road and manoeuvrability is a bit tight. Despite the plots being properly prepared (dug in, lined and covered in astroturf) not all of them were flat, so we moved onto another plot. Facilities were clean and showers hot. Access gate at the back of the plot to the brewery was useful!

Weekend Trip to Seahorse stud

Seahorse farm is a camper’s dream. Host Caroline has a heart of gold and made us feel at home. Surrounded by bush and a short drive to the beach, the location and surrounds is as good as it gets. Caroline’s gentle horses were great neighbours, an amazing experience camping alongside them. Already planning the next trip back!!!

Now Site 2 tucked away down the bottom of the property, plenty of room and privacy, close to the creek and overflow (very small) dam. Suited to those with 4x4 and just want piece and quite. Wel suited to familes, who like added privacy and extra shade.

Clear site directions with a good access to property. The spot was appreciated by the whole group, it has a good fire pit with all you need to relax. Close to heaps of days spots for exploration, would reccomend.

Weekend Trip to Shacks at Kardella Park

Great site for using as a base for visiting beaches along the Bellarine Peninsula. Not far from the Bellarine Coastal Trail for a mostly easy walk to St Leonards (2.8 kms) and beyond. Sites are relatively flat with plenty of room, can be windy at times. Damian kindly provided a fire pit for my use.

Fantastic flat grassy sites, heaps of room, and well spread apart. Alli and Damian are great hosts and were more than happy to help with anything we needed. 5 minute walk along a pretty country lane way to the beach which we did everyday. Also took the longer 45min walk along the beachside trail to St Leonard’s pub for a few drinks, steak, and a Parma. Fantastic! Will be back!

Great open area which felt like we had the whole paddock to ourselves. It was very close walk to the pier & bay area in a holiday friendly area. Loved exploring the Belarine Peninsula with Queenscliff being nearby.

This stay was exactly what we were searching for after SOT. Wide open paddock, close to towns and plenty of room for the pups to run. Damian and his family were exceptional hosts and very kind! We will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone travelling that way!

This amazing camp ground is pristine, quiet and private, awesome walking access through the property to the beach front with amazing walking tracks that contour the water line. Damian, Ali and family are exceptional hosts and nothing is too much of a problem. The pricing is as good as the property itself.... definitely the best priced hipcamp I've stayed for the location without a doubt! I'm a multiple return camper and will be back again!

Shacks Paddock is immaculately cared for, the sites are mowed and are enormous, in an amazing location away from the Hussle and bussle and the value can't be beaten and Damian is an incredible host provided by fire pits to your site for free....this will definitely be a regular!!
