The majestic presence of Mt Roland, Mt Van Dyke, Mt Claude and Black Bluff can be seen from various parts of our property with a stunning valley view sitting pretty at the rear of our plateau paddocks. Nestled in the heart of North West Tasmania with camping close to Cradle Mountain only a 35 minute picturesque drive, 15 min from Sheffield the town of Murals, 5 min to Lake Barrington perfect for swimming, rowing, water skiing, power boating and canoeing, 5 mins to Tasmazia with its model villages and endless mazes to occupy the kids along with many walks and natural Tasmanian attractions close by. Campfires permitted in designated area within the main campground when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood available. Located at Sheffield, the town of murals, is our home, Almost Heaven Clydesdales. We are based on a 50-acre working Beef cattle stud. You'll find lots of quiet pets to pat, farm experiences, and an assortment of activities. A wonderful green space to recharge, reflect and recoup with big open spaces to camp on level ground, with brilliant stars at night and beautiful vistas during the day. We have on offer produce to pick from the market garden (seasonal), admire our lovely stud cattle as they roam about their day, help feed the chooks and collect fresh eggs, or watch our beautiful Clydesdales being worked or relaxing in the paddocks after hours. We offer grassy, level paddocks for campers, where you are welcome to choose your own spot to set up, ensuring your privacy. All campers must be self-sufficient, with their own toilet and we kindly ask you to take all waste with you. There is a dump station in town. At Hill Top Farm Meander we run beef cattle and five working draught horses. Our property boasts commanding views of Huntsman lake , the Great Western Tiers and Meander Valley. The surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop for Hill Top Farm. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp. The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic. As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

Launceston is only just over 2 hours drive. Or just sit under the trees and let life pass you by. We came here and never left.Dog friendly but dogs must be kept under control. Campers need their own amenities as there is no toilet or shower. Closest public toilets are at Wayatinah Village, about 10 kms away, where there is also a pub where you can get meals at night and a general store/post office/fuel outlet that is open for a couple of hours each day.

Pitch your tent or park your van next to one of our lovely dams. The property is home to running streams, waterfalls, platypus, free range pigs, sheep along with stunning views. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the warmer months and lots of walking and exploring the rest of the year. Campers must be self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Camp fires are welcome pending there are no restrictions and they must be kept contained. Access can be difficult after heavy rainfall and you will need to drive through opened paddocks and unformed tracks to campsites so please use caution. We are just 20 mins drive to Ulverstone and a 10 minute drive to Leven canyon, Preston falls and Gunns Plains so there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. 60 minutes drive to Cradle Mountain and 90 mins drive Tullah West coast. 30 mins Penguin and Devonport.

We'd love you to sample them! We have a clean grassed paddock with good access, a huge shady tree and spring water out of a tap nearby. Pets are welcome, provided they're kept on leads. You'll need to have your own amenities/camping toilet. No amenities here. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. We can supply firewood. Canoes supplied for a paddle in the dam also. Bring your horse if you wish for a donation only.
