Absolutely amazing place clean and the host was extremely responsive and helpful with questions and the ability to give maps for the top tourist spots! 10/10 would recommend!!

We booked the lodge at very late notice, sam was super accommodating and the lodge was perfect for our big group that wanted a break from setting up the tents for a night. Highly recommend 😊

1 night at Friendlies Rest

We had a lovely stay at Friendlies Rest. The cabin is very well equipped and beautifully finished. A great location for Freycinet National Park, we wished we could’ve stayed for longer. Thank you Shannon!

Scamander Sanctuary Caravan park is well set out, toilet and free shower facilities are clean and modern. Great safe playground for kids. Able to ride bicycles around the park. Maybe a 10 minute walk to the beach, but beach was raging with big and fast waves, being not safe for swimming. Short walk to local cafes. Friendly staff. I definitely do not recommend the use of Hipcamp to book any camping or caravan bookings. Hipcamp is a total rip off!! Much better to book your own accommodation.

Scamander Sanctuary has everything you need to camp in a great location! Very welcoming too.

This Hipcamp has all the facilities of a Big4 and we were lucky enough to be there when it wasn't too busy. A very clean and well maintained site.

Very well serviced site, whose host accommodated us in a welcoming and straightforward way. Private bathrooms (toilet/sink/shower) very clean. Remember to bring laundry powder if planning to do some washing, which we unfortunately forgot!

One of best campsites I've stayed in. Large camp kitchen in an enclosed space. Spacious toilet & shower rooms, lots of privacy. Great location, very peaceful. Very clean.

The park is very clean and well organised. The facilities are of a high standard. We went on a long weekend but still found the park very quiet. If you head to this region visit the Winifred Curtis REserve - the bird life is amazing! We really enjoyed our stay.

Great spot for camping and caravaning, the facilities were excellent and clean. Only lost half a star for the dump point being full, this should be cleaned more often.

Beautiful spot. Friendly and helpful staff. Cleanest and best presented site we've visited in Tas (which is why we're return visitors!).

It was a very clean campsite, clean toilets and showers and nice to be able to have a washing up station.

We had a lovely time in the park. The beach is really close. We loved that there were individual cubicles with toilets and showers together and they were very clean and new. We hope to be back!

Great bathrooms and camp kitchen. Not much to see in Scamander itself but a good base for exploring the area.

Beautiful facilities, Matt was super helpful and an awesome place to come with the family or just passing through.

Perfect location for exploring the East Coast (very central). The camp is walking distance to the beach. Lots of bandicoots, possums and native birds. The first couple of nights we were glamping, then we moved to the camp grounds. The glamping tent was such a treat! Especially the wood heated bath tub. Highly recommend! Matt and his mum are both lovely. We decided to stay for longer than our original booking and Matt was very accomodating at finding us another site. Matt has a few dogs that travel around with him on the back of his ute. The kids loved greeting Matt and the dogs as he did his rounds. It adds to the charm!

Relax in a peaceful bush setting and connect with nature. This small off grid studio is situated on a 100 acre property located on the Freycinet Peninsula. The property is positioned close to Friendly Beaches, Moulting Lagoon and Freycinet National Park. The space is clean, cosy and comfortable with double bed, kitchenette and bathroom. Branxholm Lodge

Located only 8 km from the famous Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails, Branxholm Lodge offers accommodation for 1, 2, or up to 12 people in the Bunk House. The Bunk House features a comfortable and modern lounge and dining area with inside cooking facilities and a flat-screen TV to relive your daily rides on the big screen. WIFI was available free of charge. If you want to relax outside there is an outdoor entertaining and BBQ area with an additional fridge, plus a large firepit and kids' play area with a handball court marked out. Laundry with washer and dryer, 3 toilets, and 2 shower facilities. Sleeping 12 people in bunks across two rooms is ideal for couples, families, or groups. For mountain bike enthusiasts there is a bike wash-down area and secure storage. The 8km Branxholm to Derby Trail is a great way to get warmed up for the day. The trail starts from the oval behind the property. Or if you want to just get there fast there are many transportation options straight to the trails. When you return from the day’s activities you can fuel up at the Branxholm IGA visit one of the many restaurants in the area or in summer take a dip in the Branxholm public swimming pool. Or fire up the fire pit for a night under the stars toasting marshmallows.
