Ryelands Farm & Vineyard

**Please note that it's $20 per person per night. 

Small farm and vineyard at Macquarie Plains in the Upper Derwent Valley, southern Tasmania. The property is 380m from the junction of the Lyell Highway and the Gordon River Road. It has 450m absolute river frontage on the River Derwent (no riparian reserve). The river here is freshwater, potable and a renowned trout water, (licence required). Three kilometres from the village of Gretna.

4WD Preferred. 2WD need to assess river access.
Campers need all own amenities and leave no trace. Dog friendly but please see rules, we have livestock and so dogs need to be well controlled at all times. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place (see rules around campfires). 

Due to hydro generation activity, the river may slowly rise or fall up to 1m (often without rain) so please be careful around the water.

Huon Bush Retreats

Enjoy an extensive private habitat reserve, only 50 minutes south of Hobart, in beautiful Tasmania country. We offer everything from viewing wildlife without cages to 5km bushwalking tracks to a rainforest, waterfall, and mountaintop. 

Our studio cabins are self-contained, separate, and private. We also offer tent sites, and campervan sites, complete with composting toilets, along with private tipis. 

Perfect for a stand-alone visit, or as part of a road trip, we have everything you need for a memorable stay.

Valleydew Paddock Camp

The location is central and close to a number of activities and events. The area is known for amazing bushwalking, kayaking and all types of nature based activities. We are also close to annual shows and events such as Taste of Huon and the Cygnet Folk Festival. Lots of local markets, music venues and Farmgate sales, each weekend. 

Try the delicious local fruit, vegetables and seafood/ meat....add some fresh herbs and seasonal produce from the abundant organic garden. Onsite we have kayaks and bikes for campers to use(deposit required).

Located in Ranelagh, 2 mins from Huonville, 45 mins from Hobart, 20 mins from Cygnet, 10 mins from Franklin.

Your hosts offer a beautiful paddock and yard in the amazing Huon Valley. We are a small farm with animals and gardens on the edge of residential convenience.

Pets are welcome as are campfires in the designated fire pit.

Coal Valley View Hobby Farm

Once owned by a local farmer who divided his land into 4 lots and sold them before he passed away. This tranquil coal valley property will have a 3 bedroom guest house available apart from the campsite.There are future plans of having other off grid cabins in the bushland, enjoying breathtaking views, fresh air, wildlife and the great food available around the coal river area.

The Ranch

Red Robins Nest is a charming rustic tiny house in the bush, just 10 minutes drive from Hobart CBD. 

There is a queen loft bed, kitchenette space, shower and access to a pit toilet available. It is a unique place to stay in a beautiful setting.

We are just 15 minutes from the MONA museum of new and old art which is popular for tourists with plenty to see, do and eat.

The famous Salamnaca Markets are on every Saturday from 8.30am to 3pm where you can find fresh produce from local farmers, hot coffee and delicious breakfast and lunch options to enjoy, lots of gift ideas and plenty of handmade products.

Explore the many bays and recreation reserves along the Derwent River, the perfect place for a picnic on a sunny day. For those feeling more adventurous, we are 40 minutes from Mount Wellington Nature reserve offering trails for walking, horseback riding & cycling, plus rock climbing. The summit of Mount Wellington offers stunning views across Hobart and is well worth the visit.

Campfires are not permitted and we are unable to accept pets, sorry.

Creekside Camp

Welcome to the fresh Tassie country air. Our property is located south of Hobart, with open green paddocks surrounded by rolling hills and woodland. We have lots of wallabies and possums, and if you're lucky you'll get to see the local platypus in the creek. Close to the Longley Hotel which serves meals and has regular live music. 1.5km to Sandfly General Store. 10 minutes drive to a dump point. 

Even the dog relaxed. This is a beautiful and peaceful location
