The site was really spacious, beautifully grassed and set away from the other site and the owners home. We loved the berry patch and the quick walk to the beach. Kath and Alex respected our privacy but were also available for a chat to share info. We will definitely stay again!

located also. 15 mins to Cloudy, Cafe within 5 and Cracking Winery within 10.
Loved seeing all the Caravan Parks jammed in like sardines. No thanks.

We had a lovely stay at Kathryn and Alex’s place. Their berry farm is immaculate, a true credit to them both. The site we stayed at was so private and quiet. It was very generous, with a beautiful hand sawn picnic table and fire pit with seating. The visiting pademelons kept us entertained and the beautiful fresh water stream sent us off into a deep sleep each night.

From the moment we arrived at the Woodley property in Adventure Bay, we felt welcome. We were greeted by a beautiful, peaceful setting and two genuinely warm hosts — Alex and Kathyrn. The property is perfectly located just a short walk from the beach, yet feels wonderfully secluded, surrounded by native bushland.
Woodley is clearly a labour of love. The berry and fruit orchards are stunning and carefully maintained, with Kathyrn, Alex and their father Lee regularly working around the property. We loved that they generously shared some of the harvest with guests, which added a personal and memorable touch to our stay.
There are two excellent campsites, both very flat, well protected from the elements, and thoughtfully spaced so campers can enjoy privacy and quiet. Firewood is available to purchase, and the fireplace and table made evenings around the fire easy and comfortable.
Alex and Kathyrn were gracious and attentive hosts, offering local knowledge, stories, and a genuine sense of care without ever being intrusive. The campsite is close to everything — you can walk into Adventure Bay for a coffee, and it’s only a short drive to beaches, walks, and local attractions.
We spent a full week here with the family and couldn’t have been more comfortable. The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and easy access to the beach made it an ideal place to slow down and reconnect with nature. We highly recommend Woodley to anyone travelling with a campervan or tent. Thank you,

We ended up here after we had to leave another camping area! And wish that we had come here first! It was everything we needed! Very peacefull and quiet! Rod was great pointing us in the right direction! It was a perfect base for Bruny! Next door was a lovely garden that we explored too! Our site had just been freshly mowed! On a creek, we were able to have a firepot which was great!
Would reccomend rods hipcamp to anyone who is headed to Bruny! Thanks rod!

We had a great New Year’s Eve camping on Kathryn and Alex’s property. We had an incredible secluded spot on the amazing Adventure Bay and Kathryn and Alex were both very accommodating and helpful! Highly recommend.

A beautiful private spot, ringed by trees and a creek, opposite stunning Adventure Bay, and with a berry and fruit orchard to wander in, this lovely site is well worth the wait for the ferry to Bruny. One of the best hipcamps we have stayed in. Kathryn and Alex and the dogs were friendly and welcoming and Kathryn very kindly gave us some homemade berry jam. Highly recommend Watering Place at Woodleigh. Thanks again

Kath and Alex were amazing hosts, they have an amazing property right across from the beach and a 5mins drive to the local shops,
We had 3 families stay for 3 nights and not once did the kids get bored, from bike riding around the maintain tracks, to the swings and exploring l the surrounding bush they had a blast.
Fresh berries were absolute perk!
You are on their private property but you feel like a mile away, private site near a running stream makes some beautiful sounds of a night.
Fire pot to keep cosy and even some sighting
Of friendly native animals!
I have already recommended Kath and Alex to a few people and will be a return camper 😀

Woodleigh was just perfect! Nestled amongst the lush gardens by the little creek, a bountiful orchard of berries to enjoy at our leisure and the sounds of the waves crashing at the historical Two Tree Point beach - we felt as though we had landed in heaven. Kathryn and Alex were so warm and welcoming and even gave us a lovely jar of homemade jam to enjoy with instructions where to find the local sourdough bread stall. Adventure Bay was a wonderful base to explore South Bruny and we were able to see so many incredible sights whilst there for the 2 nights. We can highly recommend Woodleigh and hope to return again one day.

Kathryn and Alex’s property is even more beautiful and peaceful than the pictures convey. The spot was perfect for us, very quiet, plenty of birds annd wallabies about, a babbling brook, and across the road from the beach with easy enough access to get to town. Kathryn and Alex are very welcoming hosts and even helped us get our vehicle out of a bit of bother. Will be sharing and recommending this great find with family and friends.

We had the great pleasure of staying at Woodleigh for 2 nights. The spot was amazing . Beautiful grassed area next to a stream . Waves crashing just over the road. Lovely camp fire and beautiful gardens. Great place for our dog to roam and very close to the most beautiful beach. Only 2 campsites here so very private. Host was wonderful and welcomed us with her home made Berry jam and brought over firewood . This is a must stay. Don't miss it.

The camp site was extremely well maintained on their homestead & they were both super friendly. Would also recommend trying Kath’s blackberry jam which was top notch👌🏻 Definitely the best campsite we’ve been too!
