We are approximately 4km from the shops at Ellendale with stunning views of Mt Field East. Our property contains two camping grounds next to a healthy creek, all with plenty of space and privacy, and an orchard where seasonal fruits (Late Summer/Autumn only) can be handpicked. Close to Mt Field National Park and Meadowbank Lake. https://www.instagram.com/shundahai3 For experienced hikers there is direct access to the track for Brown Mountain. We are listing our property as 4WD only if you wish to take your vehicle directly into the camping areas. 2WD vehicles can be parked in a safe area just after the entrance to make your way on foot to camping spots. The town has a children's park which contains play equipment, exercise equipment and a BBQ facility and public toilets. The shops provide basic essentials and a post office. A supermarket is situated in the nearby town of Ouse approximately 20 minutes drive from our property. Nothing is provided, so please be self-sufficient before arriving and leave no trace. Campfires in designated areas only (not during fire ban periods). PETS NOT PERMITTED, SORRY.

Shundahai - Chandra's Fire
Bush camping with a nice toilet.
A very quiet place to camp aside from all the wallabies doing thumper impersonations at night. Probably the best composting toilet I have experienced, zero smell with the fans.

Maria and Simon are very friendly, kind and helpful. We had a great time camping at their property. It was peaceful, secluded and relaxing, a place to get away from it all. We would definitely go there again. If you want to be up close and personal with nature, go there.

Location handy to attractions
Gorgeous campsite in a lush meadow with a babbling creek nearby. We loved that it was located near 3 major attractions: Maydena MTB, Mount Field (Tarn Walk) and Lake St Claire (Shadow Lake Walk).

Great spot with only the sounds of birds and the running creek. I would happily stay here again

Easy access (admittedly I have a 4wd which is a requirement) to the property and campsite; owner was great with her communication and guidance; site was nice and secluded; kids pulled their weight with camp set up and pull down :-).
