The property is a 5 minute walk into the Historic town of Franklin, where there are are pubs and restaurants.
We have 2 flat sites and 3 slight gradient sites, all are far apart. All sites accessible by 2wd depending on weather.
There are no facilities, so the site is suitable for self contained campers only,
There is dump for toilet water. The site also has drinking water water available free.
Due to our children and our Alpaca on site pets must be kept on a leash.
Visiting children are welcome to help our kids feed Alpaca, just ask.

We grow alot of our own fruits and veggies which you will get opportunity to see and taste when camping on our property.
We have a large fire pit, and a little private one, that you’re welcome to enjoy for cooking, or just for relaxing. We can provide fire wood for an additional fee.

We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals).
There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by!
Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access.
Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater.

Beautiful 8 acre property situated on the edge of the Craigbourne Dam, 2 minutes from the township of Colebrook and 50 minutes from the Hobart CBD. Our property offers are great getaway experience for any traveller.
The Craigbourne Dam is a all year round recreational fishing ground and stocks many species of fish i.e. Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout to name a few.
Our property is a pet friendly park but we do ask all patrons to be considerate of the surrounding farmland and live stock .
As we are a fully self contained campground we do not provide power, toilets or showers. You'll need to have your own amenities and discard of any rubbish .
Limit phone coverage but still enough to call/text
Contained campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood for sale for a small fee (see Extras).
IMPORTANT : Any guest that wish to fish the Craigbourne Dam will be asked to purchase a angling license for the duration of their stay .

What an incredible spot. The 270-degree water views are absolutely spectacular — you can see Mt Wellington in the distance and straight across the bay to Lime Bay Reserve, which made it feel really special. Having a choice of two beaches was such a bonus. We stayed in a campervan and had no issues accessing the site at all, which made things super easy. We spent hours just sitting and watching the ever-changing colours in the sky before and after sunset — it was pure magic. Such a peaceful, beautiful place. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Tassie.

A beautiful vista as we drove to down through the valley to a warm welcome from Grant. And a solid, flat, level and spacious site to camp on with easy access in and out. We’ll definitely stay again! Highly recommended.

Nigel was away, but over the phone was polite and explained what water to use and I could use firewood, but didnt as it was raining.

We loved camping at Ladel Chapel camp grounds. The property was just as described. Lovely green flat areas to choose from and plenty of room so we weren't on top of anyone else. In fact, the closest van was 40 metres away. Very easy to find and close to beaches and the Adventure Bay town. Nigel was great to deal with. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future.

It was such a relaxing experience staying at Heron Cove. Camping without other campers around was very peaceful. I came for the quoka and other wild life and he came soo adorable i felt truly blessed. The potteroo also warmed my heart there was wallabies and these crazy bush chickens too! On the bank there was kyaks with life jackets and paddling around the bay was beautiful looking at the fish and underwater plants. Dennis made me welcome at the beginning and left me to it. There was rain but it didnt matter. Best part of my bruny expience was Heron Cove
