Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too! Please note: some front wheel drive motorhomes have encountered difficulty getting up the driveway. If you have rented a Fiat Motorhome you wont be able to get to the campground We have one toilet available for shared use, self contained campers are encouraged to use their own facilities where possible. Bomana is a 36 acre property in Carlton River, on the way to the Tasman Peninsular. It boasts stunning views of Fredrick Henry Bay, kunanyi and neighbouring rural landscapes. The owners live on site (top corner of the block). We are offering two opportunities to camp/van/caravan on this delightfully private land. When you book, you can be assured that the property is yours alone, making it a quiet and private experience. The unpowered site gives you the opportunity to enjoy the land. The powered site additionally gives you access to a bungalow which has a couch, TV, bed and dining table, as well as a very basic kitchenette with a toaster and kettle. There is also a power lead if you just want to run power to your own set-up. Campfires are a must - nothing better than watching the sun set around the campfire. This is a leave no trace property that suits campers who bring everything they need (including a camping toilet) and remove everything they bring. Good access for 2WD vehicles and caravans. Lots of opportunities to capture photos of sensational sunrises and sunsets. The property is 3km from Primrose Sands Beach (great for safe swimming). It is 4.5km from Carlton Beach (great for surfing), 37km from Port Arthur and 13km from Sorell. Hobart is 45km. We have goats on the property so pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis, please ask before booking with pets.

Our site (we have 1 site only) is positioned on a section of our 3 acre block that is totally private from our residence. We are located an easy 20 minute drive from Hobart airport. The site is not just in a paddock but is surrounded by beautiful native trees and garden - there is a small enclosed camp shelter with power, bench, sink, hot water, wood heater and a bar fridge. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. We have a deck positioned to pull up to next to the shed. Clifton Beach is a beachside community located on the south arm peninsula 25 minutes from Hobart city and is the closest surf beach to Hobart. The south arm peninsula itself has many great walks and beautiful beaches. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore Hobart and local attractions. e.g Port Arthur 90 minutes. Our Hipcamp site has full council approval.

Female only! Stay in a bohemian traditional Mongolian Ger (yurt) on a 70 acre property. Situated on a hill two minutes drive to spectacular beaches and walking tracks. Private yet safely contained within the property. Ideal for single travelling female if any age who wishes to explore this beautiful area. Visit the stunning Maria Island, I am 20 minutes away to the Triabunna ferry. Visit Freycinet and the Tasman Peninsula. Hobart is 75 minutes away, airport 50 minutes. East Coast Tasmania..nowhere better! Enjoy lots of activities in the area and come back to your serene surroundings. The COTU Yurt is basic and rustic glamping. It's cosy, has minimal facilities but you can boil a kettle and microwave a meal or cook outside on a camping stove (home cooked meals $20 booked in advance) Main bathroom facilities in my house twice daily at a time arranged but there's a caravan type loo in the yurt. There's an armchair, a cosy wood stove, and a single bed. Microwave, tea and coffee. Filtered rainwater. Bedding provided. I'm a respectable distance away but your privacy is as important to you as it is to me. Park on-site and you have a private entrance. There are two silly labradors who may visit you outside so you do need to be a dog person. If not.. sorry the yurt is not for you. Please note this is a female only property.

I was there over the extremely windy Christmas days. Yet I was able to park on east side of ridge with views of the vines down the valley which was more sheltered. Yes, it was blowy, but so was everywhere! A sensational place to camp.

It is an easy accessible site with amazing instructions from the host. We drive a 2001 Mazda T4600 Winnebago. The views are really nice. It was fairly easy to get an almost level camping spot. The toilet is so clean and such a nice addition. We added a donation to the honesty box for some wood. Another great addition. I would heed caution on the wind. We stayed there from the 22 - 26 Dec 2025 and the wind conditions were awful, not the owner’s fault. As the camping site is right at the top of the hill, you feel all wind regardless of strength. We parked with the front of our vehicle facing west as advised by the owner. That meant that we really were not impacted that much being in a motorhome. For people staying in tents it was not a great experience. They said the barely slept.

The view is CHEF’s KISS! Especially during sunsets. However, the wind could get crazyyyyy but thats tassie. Huge land, still managed to have privacy. Overall, totally recommend. Easy to locate, all the instructions are very clear. Thankyou for the great stay!

Amazing hosts, gorgeous location and a spot we have come back to again and again. Close to airport, plenty of facilities nearby and beautiful beaches. Directions were clear and extra information was provided about local cafe’s, beaches, walks and shops. The cabin and boardwalk onsite are a brilliant addition to keep your vehicle/van clean whilst providing a secondary living area to cost up by the fire. If you’re looking for a quiet location away from the crowds with natural scenery, this site is the pick of the options.

We really loved camping here, the spot offers a splendid view all around the countryside and the mountains. It was really quiet and peaceful. Clean toilets are available as well as nice firewood. Many thanks to Paul for the efforts he put to make this place incredible. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Prossers Ridge. Perfect for our van. Fabulous views and close to Richmond. We used the place as a base for 6 nights to explore Richmond Port Arthur Maria Island wine tasting at Pooley Winery and golf at the Coal Valley Golf Course. Great and easy to follow instructions from Paul. Highly recommend this place for all types of camping. 10/10 (a little windy but not much you can do about the weather and you are on a ridge)

Lauren’s place makes a great base to explore the local area. Set on a hill with great views over the hills to the sea making for wonderful sunrise and sunsets . A nice level patch by the “ bungalow “ with a firepit and generous wood sully made for an easy camp. We didn’t avail of the power option with access to the bungalow but it did look cozy and would be a great option if the weather is poor. Lauren was helpful and a pleasure to deal with . Highly Recommended.

True magic! I would die for the views this place delivers. The views of Carlton River on the horizon are second to none. There were some friendly goats roaming around that we could even pet. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful on arrival, and we had the whole place to ourselves with more than enough privacy. Absolutely loved it! Highly Recommended👍🏻

What a Fantastic Camping Spot so close to Hobart . We had 4 vans set up on flat ground near a clean toilet with great views and peace and quiet , what more could you ask for ! Heaven. Paul and Sarah are great hosts and the property is so well looked after . 30 minutes from home but could be in the of nowhere . We will definitely come back again
