The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. We stayed at this camp and would recommend it highly. We towed our 18ft caravan to the top of the hill. The ground was firm and we had a lovely sea view. Nigel gave us some of his local knowledge and our 3 nights spent at this camp were very quiet.

The location was ideal just by the Craigbourne dam and the views were breathtaking. There is plenty of space and flat ground to camp or get the camper van parked. Really nice place to relax and have a fireplace going just as we did. Great hosts as well. Would definitely be back 👍🏻

True magic! I would die for the views this place delivers. The views of Carlton River on the horizon are second to none. There were some friendly goats roaming around that we could even pet. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful on arrival, and we had the whole place to ourselves with more than enough privacy. Absolutely loved it! Highly Recommended👍🏻

Great open space on the waters edge. The dam is interesting to walk along. No tree shade but thats ok in Tassie Spring. Lots of birds to watch. The dogs had a great time too. Great to have campfires- plenty of wood. There is a public toilet about 1km away just FYI.

Great spot for a weekend away! Even though it was windy and cloudy we very much enjoyed it. Fabulous views of the hills beyond the dam, especially watching all the different birds and farm animals. Waking up to the view was amazing because we were right on the water’s edge ☺️ Milly the dog was absolutely gorgeous too.

What a Fantastic Camping Spot so close to Hobart . We had 4 vans set up on flat ground near a clean toilet with great views and peace and quiet , what more could you ask for ! Heaven. Paul and Sarah are great hosts and the property is so well looked after . 30 minutes from home but could be in the of nowhere . We will definitely come back again

2 nights at Prossers Ridge Richmond

We loved staying at Prossers Ridge , the near 360 views , sunsets and sunrises were wonderful. It was pretty stormy when we stayed so didn’t light a fire but enjoyed being close to wineries and Richmond for rainy day lunches. The place is well thought out with fireplaces spread out to give privacy if it’s busy. There was only one other camper when we visited so felt very secluded. We hope to return in the warmer weather.

Absolutely stunning! Would 100% come back here again. Lots of area to choose from with amazing views and some firewood provided if you want a fire up there. Unfortunately our set up wasn’t well thought out for the wind warnings (roof top tent) so we had to leave but the owner was so kind to arrange a refund almost instantly for us. There was a caravan up there at the same time which seemed to have no issues at all.

Great location beautiful views and it was lovely to fall asleep listening to the ocean. The only downside was the ground was extremely boggy and wet but Isaac did let us know this prior to our arrival. Obviously this is something out of his control. There has been a lot of rain in recent times.
