All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. From morning light accompanied by birdsong, to days spent exploring the creek and the bush, to stargazing and toasting marshmallows by night, the land here offers the perfect antidote to modern-day stresses. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Two of our campsites have very basic outback long drop toilets (Wombat Flat and Creek Site), but for all other sites, campers need to be fully self-contained. It's you and nature. Therefore we ask that you please ensure the place is left as or better than you found it. All rubbish and waste to be taken with you. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy. Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Our sites on the property are easily accessed. 2 sites on our farm road with a 4th site set at the back of the property which is very secluded. All sites have seasonal fire pits. 2 nights at Heyson Base Camp

Great spot for a quick stay. Toilet was immaculately clean, view was gorgeous. Instructions to get to camp very clear. We couldn't find a number 4 on any trees so went a little past 3 and set up - we were the only campers. There is a bee hive active on one of the trees at the moment, but we were far enough away not to be bothered. Absolutely stunning night time sky.

The camp is really roomy and we have spent a wonderful night looking at the stars and moon. The dusk view is impeccable, me and my partner were amazed by giant wind turbines on the horizon.

Weekend Trip to Burra Creek Camping

Directions and communication with Trish and Peter were great. No dramas finding the site (creek camp). Site was clean, level and well set up with areas that were well sheltered from wind but was still open with good views of the surrounding bush and creek beds. We had a storm come through but it hardly had any effect on our comfort (we were in a tent). Plenty of land to explore and there are massive gums that must be hundreds of years old. Will certainly book again but during a period that we can have a fire although we both agreed that it wasn’t that important in this instance! Great place to relax and unwind!

Weekend Trip to Seven Sisters

We had the lovely secluded Moss Rock site which provided good protection from wind and was surrounded by beautiful trees. There were amazing views a short walk away along ridge line. Composting toilet was spotless. Communication with Chris, excellent.

Weekend Trip to Heggies Hill Bush Camp

Very quiet. I think I was the only one there. Poured with rain all night, thunder & lightning and thick fog. So it was like a scene from a scary movie. However, this didn't detract from the serenity and beauty of the surrounds. The birds were singing in the morning. It was just as I expected. I'd go again if I was in the area.

2 nights at Burra Creek Camping

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amongst the gums and wombat holes beside the dry creek. We were serenaded by a wide variety of birdlife including Rainbow Bee-eaters and Red-backed and Sacred Kingfishers. We would’ve loved to add a wombat to the list of sightings but unfortunately that wasn’t to be this time. Maybe next time as we will definitely be back. Trish was a delight to talk to and nothing was too much trouble for her.

I had a great stay and thank you to Alex for being so positive in opening up his property to motorcycle camping. I had the property to myself and found a great spot to pitch my tent. Campsite 11 had fantastic views across the valley and it was nice to sit back and watch the setting sun. I’ll definitely be planning another adventure.

Funnily we were drawn to the constant comments about how great the toilets were, and to be honest, they were incredible with festoon lights at night. View was amazing, communication great, highly recommend! just watch the flies in November.
