‘Kuntha La’ - peaceful place… We are on the water’s edge at the junction of Currency Creek and The River Murray. Our property sits within the International Ramsar Wetlands. Come and enjoy the water birds, kangaroos, spectacular stargazing and wide open skies. Bring your kayaks, explore the waterways and experience the beautiful bird-life, including egrets, herons, harriers, black swans, pelicans, cormorants, moore-hens, ducks and more. Goolwa is at the mouth of the mighty Murray River and the entrance to beautiful Coorong National Park, so there’s plenty of places to explore.
We are currently offering space for two self-contained campers. Please note that ALL CAMPERS MUST BE SELF-CONTAINED and LEAVE NO TRACE. There is public dump facility 5km away in South Goolwa.
Grounds can be wet and soft during wet weather so please be mindful of your vehicle’s weight and ability to go through wet paddocks.
Our property is approximately 4km from beautiful Goolwa township. Attractions include the Historic Steam Ranger Cockle Train which runs from Goolwa to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor each Sunday & Wednesday, and every day during school holidays.
There are also a range of cafes, restaurants, galleries, and a distillery. Spirit of the Coorong cruises leave from Goolwa Wharf, where you can also board the historic Oscar W paddle steamer.
Markets are held every Sunday at Jaralde Park adjacent to the Goolwa Wharf.

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail.
The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy!
There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes.
Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh.
There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock
and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet.
Great Hotels/pubs to dine in at Tarlee and Riverton. Emporium cafe for the best coffee in Riverton

All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. Generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest.

Definitely recommend! The views here were amazing! And the hosts were too. We were invited by Trish and Peter to the bar to watch the sunset with some other campers wich was fun. We had a beautiful spot with no one nearby with our own long drop toilet which was very kept. We will absolutely be back 😁

Beautiful views over the Ocean, and at night the sound of the Ocean is very relaxing.
A few good walking trails around.
Good facilities.
Uneven ground, and a number of slopes, so could be challenging if you have mobility issues.

Had a great stay at Cooinda! Definitely recommend the fenced sites if you have pets or little ones. It was a nice change not to have to worry about my bub wandering out on to the road like most campgrounds. The view was also amazing and facilities were clean. We did have a lot of wasps swarm in while cooking in the evening, that’s nature! But I’d definitely check in on that first if you have allergies. I also wish I realised that groups also use the property. While our site was away from the groups they were quite noisy. The school camps were having a great time in the mornings and evenings which was fine but the footy club blasting music past 10.30pm was a little unexpected. No one’s fault, I just didn’t realise they would be there and it was a bit tricky getting the little one to sleep lol. Overall it’s a beautiful property and we had a great time, would recommend 🙂

My friends and I went there for one night, it was a beautiful place with nice views, we loved the fact that the water is drinkable. Amenities are nice and clean. And for me as a pet owner I felt very happy to have my dog free and save in the in site.

Cooinda was an amazing place to stay, awesome views, grest atmosphere. The fenced area was awesome for the children a the dog. It allowed us to relax knowing they were all safe.
The different types of camp sites or cabins to stay in offers so many options when planning our next holiday. Close to town to go shopping and outings. We are diffenantly going to book again. Close to the kids grandma for her to spend time with the kids and for us to have time with out the kids..

We had a great time camping at Cooinda Retreats! We had site 7 which was a perfect size, with lovely grass and a beautiful view.
We utilised the amenities including the camping kitchen, showers and toilets, everything was very clean and spacious!

Having a fenced enclosed campsite made our stay such a pleasure, dog could roam around our plot at his leisure and we didn't have to worry about him always being on a lead or tied up. Also didn't need to worry about people taking short cuts through our site and startling the dog. our dog is a 66kg protector so this site-5- was perfect

Cooinda Retreats was so good!!
It’s so close to Victor harbour and overlooked the water, it was beautiful! We arguably had the best view in the whole place (E5) we were in a rooftop but was also suitable for caravans/RVs.
The amenities were clean, camp kitchen was great with outdoor tables, and the property was very well looked after! Some of the greenest grass in SA!
Would 100% go back, very affordable and better than a caravan park
