You can set up camp and be sipping a wine or hot drink in the grove tranquility in less than an hour from most suburbs . Interstaters, this is 15 mins from Magill and about 40 mins to the CBD / some small caravans ok .. its a world away but a close option, sorry no power . Rove on the property or Rock climb at nearby Morialta falls / Cleland / Mt Lofty or use the Grove as a base to Rove along the nearby Heysen trail , the many bakeries , eateries , wineries, breweries and distilleries nearby . Visit Marble Hill residence on open days, or any of the many events Adelaide hills has on offer. ( Medieval fair / Adelaide rally / SALA / bay to Birdwood / Anzac to name a few ) Enjoy a complimentary box of Marble Hill Water on arrival ... Roast some chestnuts * over the campfire or gather some wild blackberries* , or mushrooms *. ( * in season ) . The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views and is suitable for tents and camper trailers, accessible by low-range 4WD (or AWD if the weather is dry) - Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have a toilet available but please BYO toilet paper. From the 15th April fire are allowed. & portable firepits are available for your use Sorry, not pets.

Piney Ridge Estate

Enjoy the serenity of waking up on our 100-acre farm in the Adelaide Hills. Piney Estate is a beautiful base camp from which to explore the Adelaide Hills, but you'll be just as inclined to relax on the property and enjoy peaceful country time. The location is ideal, being just 5mins from Nairne village (which has a great Foodland, butcher and bottle shop). Plus there are plenty of foodie and wine options to discover in the region. We offer different options, some sites have water and power (and access to the pool) and others are more remote, fully self-sufficient spots. Many sites have a campfire space (not available during the summer fire ban months). Pets are welcome off-leash, so long as they remain under control and do not disturb the farm animals, keep them on leash if you aren't sure how they will behave around sheep and cattle. Also note we have a dog here, and 3 cats, and other guests may have pets, so make sure your dog is dog-friendly, or else keep them leashed at all times.

The Scrub Campsite

Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 11 bespoke sites available but only 8 sites are offered at any one time so campers can have their privacy. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, cars, rooftop tents, tents and swags (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Some firewood is supplied for you. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period. A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a solar and rocket shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 9pm The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024. Surrounded on one side by National Park and the other by vineyards and plenty of wineries. The next township is just a few minutes away and has all the necessary needs (pharmacy, GP, pub, general store). Within 10 minutes you can rock climb or go swimming in a fresh waterhole. It’s a beautiful part of the world.

The bird-life is booming, the stars are doing their brilliant best, so now is a great time to visit. The camp-ground is 2WD, caravan, RV and large vehicle friendly, nestled in behind sand-hills, comfortably secure and conveniently located a few hundred metres from the Mannum-Sedan road. Sites are well sheltered and easily accessible, with most sites suitable for larger vehicles. Where possible early check-in and late check-out are available to allow you the most time to enjoy your holiday. We have introduced a special overnight 'traveller's rate', in after 3pm and vacate by 10am, details in site listings. Sites are restricted to one van, RV or tent per site. If you have a group booking, please contact us to discuss suitable sites. With some 20 acres of undulating sandy mallee, and 60 acres of paddocks cultivated to grain crop, Currawong Corner provides a restful stopover. Named after our resident Currawongs, a native bird often mistaken for the more common Magpie, we also regularly have kangaroo and many different bird species. Located between the Barossa and the mighty Murray, Currawong Corner is situated within the River Murray Dark Sky Reserve, so bring your telescope to enjoy our night sky. At this stage we have a bush drop toilet however we suggest campers being their own porta loo. Dump points are only about 15 minutes away, as are shops, pubs and fuel. There are no shower facilities, We can provide non-potable bore water by arrangement at the house. Camp-fires are at the discretion of the host and permission must be requested prior to lighting a fire. Pets are welcome but must not harass animals or other campers. Please feel free to take a walk around the property.

Located behind the iconic Upper Sturt General Store you can come and go as you please. A fully cooked breakfast is included in the price for 1-2 people as you checkout at 10am on your last day. Simply come into the store when returning your keys and you will be rewarded with a yummy fully cooked brekky to send you on you way. The property offers an authentic bush setting with wattles and gums and the Belair National Park is right across the road which boasts walking trails, bbq facilities, wildlife and tennis courts. We live in a beautiful valley on 30 acres, that not many people know about. We're joined by 3 friendly dogs, 4 horses, 2 alpacas, 4 Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views and is suitable for tents and camper trailers, accessible by low-range 4WD (or AWD if the weather is dry) - Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway) Topspot and The Lookout/Highview do have coverage. Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times as we have our livestock and are surrounded by neighboring livestock, as well as the wildlife that frequently visits. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

Pets are welcome off-leash, so long as they remain under control and do not disturb the farm animals, keep them on leash if you aren't sure how they will behave around sheep and cattle. Also note we have a dog here, and 3 cats, and other guests may have pets, so make sure your dog is dog-friendly, or else keep them leashed at all times.

Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have a toilet available but please BYO toilet paper. From the 15th April fire are allowed. & portable firepits are available for your use Sorry, not pets.

Rove on the property or Rock climb at nearby Morialta falls / Cleland / Mt Lofty or use the Grove as a base to Rove along the nearby Heysen trail , the many bakeries , eateries , wineries, breweries and distilleries nearby . Visit Marble Hill residence on open days, or any of the many events Adelaide hills has on offer. ( Medieval fair / Adelaide rally / SALA / bay to Birdwood / Anzac to name a few ) Enjoy a complimentary box of Marble Hill Water on arrival ... Roast some chestnuts * over the campfire or gather some wild blackberries* , or mushrooms *. ( * in season ) . Pls Note Guests are provided a basis toilet / waste disposal area and your self contained outdoor showers are welcome . LPG bottles , some essential camp supplies ( inc marshmallows ) are available to purchase via eft once on site .
