Glamping near Clare guide

Overview

Hemmed in by sun-blushed vineyards and patchwork farmlands, the storybook village of Clare is the gateway to the Clare Valley wine region. If you're a fan of white wine, this is the place to be—South Australia's most famous Riesling wines are produced here—and a wine-tasting tour is at the top of the to-do list for glampers. Also on the agenda: rent a bike and cycle between cellar-door wineries, visit Bumbunga to admire its bubblegum-pink lake, or hike through the red rock gorges of the Red Banks Conservation Park. Looking for a place to stay? Leave your tent behind and check into a luxury glamping tent, a cosy tiny house, or a bell tent instead. Ideal for campers who like a few home comforts, glampsites typically come with a comfy queen-size bed, air-conditioning or heating, and power outlets. Choose one with a fire pit for the full toasting-marshmallows-around-the-campfire glamping experience.
