The homestead is approximately 500 metres away and screened from view by the flower paddocks for your privacy. *** No open fires permitted from 1 October to 31 April*** Guest Access We would like our Glamping guests to truly enjoy the experience on the flower farm. The area around your tent, bathroom and car parking space has been prepared for you to enjoy. The flower paddocks and other general paddocks are Private property and not accessible to guests. Please refrain from taking a stroll amongst the bushes and flowers as there are hazards such as irrigation lines, taps and not to mention the rabbit burrows and holes dotted around the property. You are on the property at entirely your own risk. We also operate farm machinery across the other areas of the property as we are a working commercial flower farm. Other details to note Please note - please take care when walking around your glampsite as there are areas of uneven ground and rabbit holes! No manicured lawns or picket fences here! No open fires (firepits) permitted from 01 October to 31 April. Please note - there is no power or electricity to this site. Please note - there is no running water to this site. Strictly Adults ONLY. Bugs and other unwanted guests! As our tents are in the heart of the flower paddocks and vineyards you will likely find some harmless insects sneaking into the tents from the vines; the main culprit is the tiny Portuguese millipede. While we thoroughly clean before/after each guest, we want you to know that you're likely to see them during your stay. These are totally harmless insects and can either be left alone (and they'll leave you alone) or you can use the insect spray we provide/pick them up in a tissue, or the dustpan and brush, and drop them in the waste bin, or outside. This is a normal part of life for anyone living on property in McLaren Vale with lots of open indoor/outdoor space. We hope you'll appreciate it as part of an authentic, real experience! To eliminate anything getting into the tent we strongly advise to keep all doors zipped up. We live in the homestead on property (but out of sight!), and far enough away to ensure your privacy. Our property IS NOT the one as you enter the property at the top of the track. We are happy to answer questions, offer local recommendations (some are already in our Welcome Pack for your information). Although we are not always available in person, we are available by phone.

Mypolonga is a small, diverse rural community (we won the Ag Town of the Year Award in 2022) between Murray Bridge and Mannum on the Murray River, with lots of birdlife. About 15 minutes up the road is Mannum Waterfalls - a beautiful place for enjoying nature, walking, climbing, and paddling in the rock pools. At Mypolonga Sunshine, I offer The Old Stone Dairy, a building that is over 100 years old and has been converted into a comfortable space to rest up for a night or several. It's not a luxury destination, but has a historic charm, and provides a farm-stay style experience. The property is 7 acres, and there are 3 horses, 2 dogs and 10 chooks also residing here. Dogs and other pets are welcome - you are even welcome to bring your own horse. We have a yard available for your horse, at a small additional cost per night (please add to booking via Extras).

Glamping near Adelaide guide

Overview

The gateway to South Australia affords plenty of ways for urban campers to escape the city, whether you prefer beach-hopping along the Fleurieu Peninsula, cellar-door wine tasting in the Barossa Valley or Mclaren Vale, or a weekend getaway in the Adelaide Hills. If you're looking for a unique camping experience or want to get back to nature without giving up your home comforts, glamping offers the ideal compromise. Rent an off-grid tiny house on the edge of the Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, check into a deluxe bell tent at an eco-resort on Kangaroo Island, or venture out into Flinders Ranges to sleep in a swag beneath the outback stars. Most glamping tents provide luxuries such as a comfy king- or queen-sized bed, air conditioning, and wifi, while the best glamping sites have an ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, and a private deck with a fire pit and BBQ.
