Lots of bird life, 2 nosey horses and 2 "hard done by" dogs. We offer fully self-contained camping in Paddocks 2 & 3. Paddocks 4-7 have bathroom access. Paddock 8 offers powered sites with, bathroom access. All sites are for 2 adults and up to 3 or 4 children (depending on paddock booked). Each site is allocated 1 vehicle. An undercover, shared lounge with jug and toaster is available, but no camp kitchen. Well behaved dogs welcome. Above ground fire pits only. No generators pls. We have 650m of flat grassed vacant land at the rear of our property that can occupy two caravans and two vehicles comfortably. With your own private bathroom and toilet amenities . Also a 6.5kg washing machine to catch up on your laundry if you have been off grid for a few days ( included in your site fee ) there is a clothes dryer to be used during the day if needed ( Honesty box ) otherwise Mareeba is known for 300 sunny days a year ☀️ so clothes are dry in no time . A small mobile clothes line is on the site for your convenience as well Power and water connection is easy . Pets are allowed at hosts discretion Very close to Mareeba town centre. Kelly Kamp is central to the gorgeous Atherton Tableland’s and only a stroll to the famous ‘Coffee Works’ to enjoy a coffee and chocolate experience. The town of Kuranda is 30 mins away with lots to see and do . From there the skyrail can take you to the city of Cairns or take a further 20 min drive down the Kuranda range where the rainforest meets the ocean

We have a peaceful spot right on the edge of our dam which is stocked with Barramundi, with fish feeding every afternoon. From here it's only minutes to the centre of Mareeba, 45 minutes to Cairns and only half an hour to Lake Tinaroo which is famous for its fishing with its monster Barra. We are also close to several national parks with sensational swimming holes. You can choose to set up camp facing the back of the block looking out into the bush for complete privacy and watch the kangaroos and wallabies, or you can set up overlooking the dam and looking up the block to the back of the house. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water and power. Our property is nestled in a quiet location except for the birdlife, backing onto bushland with a small creek on one side and a dam full of Barra and native fish on the other. There is a big level pad to set up on right on the edge of the dam. The campsite area is 2WD accessible and there's plenty of room for all types of camping vehicles. No pets please.

This is a very nice camp. Camp kitchen was one of the best I have seen, nice and big and cleans showers and toilets and of course the beautiful creek. They even supply paddle boards and tyres. Will definately return.

This was our second stay at Paradise Camps - it’s such a beautiful, relaxing place. One of the swimming holes was just a 2 minute walk from where we had set up - stunning! The water was a bit cold at first, but with the hot Cairns weather, it didn’t take long to get in!! Dee is a wonderful host and we can’t wait to visit again! Would highly recommend staying here

My family loved camping on Dee’s property. They keep the place well maintained. Toilets and showers are in mint condition and the camping grounds are well maintained too. Dee supplies heaps of cooking equipment and utensils from the local communal hut as well as swimming equipment. The fresh water creek is always flowing and the water temperature is perfect. We look forward to our next visit at Mirriwinni Paradise campsite. Thanks for having us Dee 🙏🏽

Thisvspace is great because you cannpark under trees which give good shade, very close to creek and comunal space as well as toilets. I loved this place everything about it, Rob and Dee very lovely accomodating and welcoming went out of there way to make us feel at home and they went out of their way to wish my mother happy birthday by putting up a sign, very attentive. The space is gorgeous good swimming spots and lush environment, ill definitely be returning for sure!

Dee put us on a nice flat, grassy, spot away from most other campers.. it was perfect! The creek is beautiful, crystal clear water and has spots deep enough to dip your entire body and spots shallow enough that our 2 toddlers could explore. Absolutely loved our stay, thanks Dee!

We enjoyed our stay at Paradise Camps however our request to be as far away from other campers with close access to the creek was not ideal. Dee was very accommodating suggesting that once booked we could change our camp location once onsite. What we ended up with was a non powered campsite away from others but very close to the Bruce Highway, let’s say 150 or so metres or so. It wasn’t what you’d call Paradise and not only was the road noise quite loud there is also the main train line between Brisbane and Cairns and the local sugar cane rail line. The access to the creek was quite treacherous at best for over 60’s and when we went for a swim after setting up camp there was a large group of indigenous folk who were enjoying the swimming spot from access provided via a public road off the highway. They were fine but making plenty of noise, smoking cigarettes and playing loud music in what I thought was a private location and definitely not guests of Paradise Camps that I paid $60 a night for. The road noise was tolerable after dark and we couldn’t complain however the following day we elected to relocate further west away from the highway and although you can’t escape from the noise of the highway & trains completely it was much better. The creek near the camp kitchen is simply beautiful and the access via the concrete stairs makes it safe and easy for all levels of mobility. All in all it’s a nice spot but $60 a night for two people in an unpowered site is a bit rich.

We were fortunate enough to have the whole of Paddock 2 to ourselves — my two dogs and 1.5-year-old absolutely loved it! Our stay was more than comfortable, with plenty of space for my parents’ 19ft caravan, my tent, and my sister’s swag. Due to recent flooding, access to the creek was a little tricky and required a bit of bushwalking, but it was well worth the effort once we got there. The sandbanks, crystal-clear water, and open space for the dogs to run — plus a few deeper spots to swim — made it a great spot for everyone. The traffic noise was noticeable, as advertised, since the site is closest to the road. That said, it’s a beautiful place to listen to it from! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for hosting us.

Amazing campground. Big grassy sites, peaceful vibes, amazing swimming holes. Amenities were very clean. The kids loved the feeding the horses and the very friendly Athena (Dee’s border collie) joining them for a swim in the creek. Great location to base yourself to day trip and explore Babinda Boulders and Josephine Falls.
