Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer
Ranges and is
on the Bremer River in Rockleigh.
This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area.
We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums-
surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated
further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and
requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags.
The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully.
We are 45 minute drive
from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region.
We are only 30 minutes drive from
Monarto Conservation Park
which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals.

You are welcome to walk through and explore the paddocks containing the creek line. Do not drive across the creek - walking and bicycles only.
Please do not feed the wildlife or the cattle and practice leave no trace camping. For stays longer than one night campers must bring a portable chemical toilet. Use only the firepit provided and comply with current fire danger restrictions. Some firewood may be available next to the firepit but please bring your own firewood if intending to have a fire as this can't be guaranteed.

The Villa is independent of our home, and is on its own 5-acre plot, nothing in your view except the occasional horse, the paddocks, and the sea. We have resident kangaroos and the occasional echidna that visit plus lots of bird life. We have hosted weddings, many anniversaries, and lots of special occasions plus guests who live in Adelaide and appreciate being able to hop in the car, drive for an hour and find themselves in our little bit of heaven, a real rural retreat but only ten minutes to two small towns with supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and most everything else you might need.
You have the entire Villa, which is very private, a verandah out front to enjoy the view out to sea and Kangaroo Island, and a fully enclosed courtyard in the rear to chill and enjoy the sunshine. The Villa is also wheelchair friendly, all entrances are wide, including French doors to the lounge and both bedrooms, a very large double shower with sliding doors, a raised toilet for people with issues, two toilets, and a separate vanity area. It is ideal for two couples as there are two bathroom areas, one with a vanity and toilet and the other with shower, vanity, and toilet.
We are pet-friendly and have a lovely shady paddock for your pony and an enclosed yard for your dog. We do allow pets inside but ask that you let us know if you intend to bring your pets with you. There is a cleaning fee if there is dog hair over furniture and soft furnishings, please bring their bedding and don't let them on beds and sofas.

Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer
Ranges and is
on the Bremer River in Rockleigh.
This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area.
We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums-
surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated
further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and
requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags.
The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully.
We are 45 minute drive
from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region.

Situated in a secluded rural setting on an 80-acre horse stud. Dee's Villa is a short 10-minute drive to Normanville or Yankalilla. We are close to Myponga Beach, Lady Bay, and Carrickalinga as well as the popular Normanville beach. Dogs and Ponies welcome.
The Villa is independent of our home, and is on its own 5-acre plot, nothing in your view except the occasional horse, the paddocks, and the sea. We have resident kangaroos and the occasional echidna that visit plus lots of bird life. We have hosted weddings, many anniversaries, and lots of special occasions plus guests who live in Adelaide and appreciate being able to hop in the car, drive for an hour and find themselves in our little bit of heaven, a real rural retreat but only ten minutes to two small towns with supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and most everything else you might need.
You have the entire Villa, which is very private, a verandah out front to enjoy the view out to sea and Kangaroo Island, and a fully enclosed courtyard in the rear to chill and enjoy the sunshine. The Villa is also wheelchair friendly, all entrances are wide, including French doors to the lounge and both bedrooms, a very large double shower with sliding doors, a raised toilet for people with issues, two toilets, and a separate vanity area. It is ideal for two couples as there are two bathroom areas, one with a vanity and toilet and the other with shower, vanity, and toilet.
We are pet-friendly and have a lovely shady paddock for your pony and an enclosed yard for your dog. We do allow pets inside but ask that you let us know if you intend to bring your pets with you. There is a cleaning fee if there is dog hair over furniture and soft furnishings, please bring their bedding and don't let them on beds and sofas.

What a great spot. We spent 4 nights at Vineyard Views and loved it. Thoroughly enjoyed Michael's wine tasting (highly recommend)! The location is peaceful and rural surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, yet close to amenities. Plenty of space for larger vans. Both Michael and Kim were very welcoming and accommodating hosts. A+++

We had an amazing stay at Six Strings.
We did the wine tasting with Michael and it was probable the best we’ve done and we’ve visited many wineries. It was personal, informative and friendly.
If you’re passing through Mclaren Vale make this a stop for the night and enjoy some delicious wines.

Great location in McLaren Vale with everything you are looking to see and do 15min or less away.
It's a gorgeous property camping by the vineyard and Michael and Kim are excellent hosts!
Loved spending time talking wine and learning about the wine making process with Michael while getting to enjoy a tasting of the wines he makes at Six Strings!

Such a beautiful quiet area to escape city life that seems a million miles away. Beautiful rolling hills, huge gum trees, cockatoos etc. our dog loved it so much she ran til she was exhausted. We’ll be back.

Site 1 was perfect for us with kids as both the kitchen and toilets were really close by. We didnt have to lug the gas stove, tables and chairs with us as the Kitchen had all these. It has a gas flat grill plate BBQ which was great for us. The space is huge and the kids had a blast running around. It did get a bit cooler there at night time which we didn't expect so pack some warm clothes (we went 2nd weekend of Feb). There are 3 adorable dogs that visited on and off and we played "fetch" with them. Kylie was lovely - she popped in to say hi and also gave my friend duct tape to fix her pole which accidentally snapped. And she also handed my friend some fresh eggs which my friend enjoyed thoroughly 😊 All in all, a great stay and I'll be coming back soon when we can have a fire.

Home is a bare paddock in summer but entirely fine for caravanners wanting out of a crowded pitch. 6 Strings is peaceful and close to beaches and great food and wineries. We will be back

We thoroughly enjoyed the serenity at Ellie's place. It is in a fantastic central location to wineries, beaches and all things that the beautiful McLaren Vale has to offer. The space is predominantly flat, shaded or full sun options and private enough from neighbouring properties. We didn't have neighbours for the first two nights and felt like we lived on our own little farm. The entrance is a 90° off a 100k/pm straight, but we found there was minimal traffic and was able to navigate with a 20ft van. Minimal road noise from the main highway that's close by, and dog friendly (bonus). Would highly recommend and would return 👌

A lovely quiet place in the hills for your overnight stay. Annabelle and James were very welcoming. We parked our caravan at the back of the car park as the cellar door was busy on arrival and went inside to enjoy a wine tasting and Tapas. The cellar door closes at 5pm so there was lots more space and we were offered other places to park up. We were happy at our current location and didn’t move as we had a lovely view of the hills. There are tables and lighting outside the venue which James left on for us so we could sit and take in the view during the evening.
Just one element to note is the drive into the property is up a short but very steep gravel road. Not a worry for us as my husband is a confident driver. We are towing a 19ft caravan.

Marilyn is a very communicative and helpful host, meeting you on arrival to ensure everything is as you need. The farm is in the mos lt beautiful & peaceful location, just out of town, so the best of both worlds! It has lovely sunsets and the most amazing stars at night and the only sound is birdsong each morning!
