This expansive 178-acre property, which is situated at the peak of the Normanby Range in stunning Mount Perry.  It also boasts breathtaking, endless views of the countryside, mountains, and clear starry skies.

With six hand-dug gold mines on the property that date back to 1880, Mount Perry has a rich history of gold mining. This property offers a great place to retreat as well as fossicking. You must present your fossicking licence on arrival (costs apply to fossick per day). 

Just over 1 hour from Bundaberg, 30 minutes from Gin Gin & 4 minutes to Mt Perry, Fig Tree Camp is conveniently located close enough for all your requirements, the perfect blend of convenience and a quiet country lifestyle awaits.

Mugul Mountain Wilderness Retreat

Mugul Mountain Retreat is a 300 acre property adjacent to Mt Colosseum (or Mugul as it is called by the local Indigenous peoples). The property borders the national park of Mt Colosseum. Mugul is a site of significance for the Gooreng Gooreng people.

Our property is home to a multitude of pretty face wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas, possums and over 60 species of birds. A serene and peaceful place Mugul is where you can experience the energy of a sacred Indigenous site.

Accessible for all types of vehicles. Dog friendly. The property offers basic camping without facilities. You will need to be self-sufficient. We have a bush toilet but no showers. At the house there are toilets and showers available for an extra charge. Please see us if required. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. You can purchase firewood from us (see Extras).  We prefer you to bring your own water, emergency supply can be arranged (we are on tank water). Patchy mobile reception.

Hogback

Hogback is a 2000 acre nature refuge and run as a cattle operation, emphasis in sustainability, in native forest. This property is the perfect getaway, and a photographers dream, you can do as little or as much as you like. The seasonal creek draws the wildlife to the area making this a birdwatchers paradise, sit back and watch the wedgetail eagles soar as the red-tailed black cockatoos serenade the afternoon away.This unique property has inland and coastal fall making it home to several ecosystems, including the semi-permanent waterfall. If you're looking for a bit more than the usual campsite then bring the gold pans and the detectors because we are located at the base of the Mt Rawdon gold mine. Many a yarn will be told of the gold that can be found in the hills around.A fantastic place to bring the family and the 4 legged friends (on leads as this is a working property).&nbsp;We also have a small barbed wire paddock available for horses by request. BYO horses and yards available at&nbsp;RV sites only.We look forward to welcoming you to Hogback.Please note there is no mobile reception - except up the hill.No toilets. Makowata Farm

We have 33 acres that we have been working on for the last 15 months to try and create our own slice of freedom. 

We have the goal of becoming as self sufficient as possible and currently we are producing a large amount of our own food. We have a massive array of animals and always are having new additions, which is always exciting. We are open to people coming to just experience what we have created or even getting their hands dirty. We have learnt so much coming here and are happy to pass on what ever knowledge that we have gained but also open to learn from you all too. 

We are located about 40mins from Agnes Water and are super connected to the amazing Agnes community. We have a couple of areas that power can be tapped into and also a second outside bathroom that is welcomed to be used.

This is the main powered site, it has previously had a caravan parked here

Collie Farm

283 acres of mainly level bush with camping sites in various locations, either in a remote bush or by the water (dams).  6 kms of bushwalking tracks with abundant native wild and bird life. Designated fireplaces and firewood available. 

All campsites except the Safe Haven are physically separated and reserved for a single group (either travelling alone or in company with others).  The Safe Haven can accommodate up to 4 caravans/campers with a communal central fireplace by the water.

A seasonal summer stream normally runs through the length of the property from January to May.  During this time access to some of the walking trails can be restricted.

All sites can be left unattended and secure by visitors for day trips to surrounding areas such as Agnes Water, Seventeen Seventy, the Boyne Valley or various National Parks located within 50klms.

Your hosts are always present and ready to assist in any way they can.

Dogs welcome.

BB Inland Rail Trail - Boyne Valley

The Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail Incorporated is facilitating the development of the disused rail corridor from Taragoola (near Gladstone, Central Queensland), through the Boyne Valley, on to Monto, Eidsvold, Mundubbera and south through to Gayndah in the Burnett Valley.

This property covers those campsites in or adjacent to the Boyne Valley.

The corridor is an inland link between Gladstone and Gayndah, which has great natural scenery, wildlife and historical structures with small country towns spread along its length.

There are several campsites (shown here on Hipcamps), on former railway sidings along the trail and a range of other accommodation types, some community NFP operated, which we encourage you to support.

Kinvara Camping

Kinvara is an operating cattle property on 175 acres of creek flats and natural hilly bushland bordering 3 Mile Creek and Baffle Creek.  

The property overlooks Mount Colosseum and is 6km from Miriam Vale township.  

We have sites suitable for caravans and campervans easily accessible by 4wd or high clearance 2wd vehicles.  Enjoy the abundant bird life, spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, bushwalking, cycling or just relaxing with a campfire.

Range Station Retreat

Beautiful 300 acre working cattle farm with amazing views of Mundowran Range. A few acers is dingo fenced for campers to enjoy “forrest bathing” in nearby natural scrub that has massive bottle trees and endangered Ooline trees. 

Uninterrupted country sky to enjoy the stars & very quiet location.

Range Station is 7km out of the Local nearby small town of Mundubbera. We are a popular destination for tourists being the citrus capital of QLD and also have a huge blueberry farm and table grape vineyards in the local area. 

 3 rivers join just above the township of Mundubbera and the Burnett river runs through town with plenty of great swimming, fishing spots and walking tails.

Monto Caravan and Cabin Park

The quiet and leafy Monto Caravan & Cabin Park is set on well-maintained 5.5 acres with a country feel and country hospitality, located close to town. Our sites are very spacious and well-kept and we offer powered, unpowered sites, RV-friendly sites, and campsites. We also provide a range of cabins to suit a variety of needs and budgets.

We are extremely proud to have our amenities described by many travellers as 'the cleanest they have come across', a credit to us. Cool down in our shaded, in-ground pool, or relax by the fire pit and meet other travellers.

The Monto Caravan and Cabin Park is a birdwatchers paradise with over 90 species of birds being documented in the park. We welcome 4 legged visitors. Some pet friendly cabin options are available on application.The Historical Cultural Centre is right next door to the park and well worth a visit. We are only 12 klms from the Cania Gorge National Park where you can experience rainforest walks, sandstone cliffs, wonderful scenery and more. The town of Monto is a friendly, quaint, rural town on Australia's Country Way (A3) and is home to a wide variety of historical, cultural and artistic experiences in the North Burnett. Monto is the northern and youngest town in the North Burnett and is situated approximately 200 km west of the coastal cities of Bundaberg and Gladstone.

Monto is one of the newest towns in Queensland having come into existence as recently as 1924 when, under the Land Development Scheme, larger properties were resumed and prime agricultural land was provided, in smaller lots, to soldiers who had returned from World War I.

Prior to the arrival of Europeans, the area around Monto was home to people from the Gureng Gureng Aboriginal language group.

Enjoy some good old country hospitality and 'tucka' at 1 of 2 town pubs. In town, you will find cafes, great coffee shops, supermarkets, Australia Post, banking, pharmacies, and a variety of other shops. There is also a medical center and a hospital. Bowls and golf can be enjoyed whilst visiting Monto.

Montaban Farm Camping

Montaban Farm is 280 acres of rolling hills. You can set up on a flat, grassy site nearby a seasonal creek. You can chose to camp in the gully near the creek or from the top of the hill with a view of the hills. Access for all vehicles and camping set ups. 

In 5 minutes drive you'll find yourself in the town of Mulgildie where there is a great pub and a grocer.

Small fires okay, please bring your own firepit. 

In the centre of Mulgildie stands the sculpture of the Mulgildie Bunyip. Tourists are encouraged to visit the Bunyips watering hole approximately 10 minutes drive from Mulgildie, a place renowned for strange bubbling and churning waters.

There are national parks n the area which you can explore, where there is plenty of native wildlife and bush walks. 

Located 2 hours from Bundaberg, 3 hours from Rockhampton.

Cania Gorge is one of Queensland’s hidden secrets. It’s an ancient place created over 200 million years ago by natural weather events. What’s left now are towering cliffs, caves, sheltered gorges and ancient Aboriginal art in the Cania Gorge National Park. This natural wonderland is home to more than 150 plant species, 90 bird species and is known for rainbow lorikeets, bush-tailed rock-wallabies and common bent-wing bats.

BB Inland RT Barrimoon Siding

A former railway siding with the closest access point to the six Dawes Range Tunnels on the rail trail. From the tunnels, there are excellent views across to Kroombit Tops, and historical signage has been installed along the trail. 

The siding also contains the foundations of a former railway turntable. Kalpowar State Forest Park and campground are located several kilometres to the east, while the township of Kalpowar lies about the same distance in the opposite direction.

Jalna Old Homestead Flat

Flat and steep areas previously used for grazing cattle. Dense eucalyptus forest neighbouring Glassford National Park with access to the magnificent brick chimneys, Chinamen gardens and nearby Kroombit Tops. 

There is an ephemeral creek which is a lovely swimming spot when it flows after rainfall.

This property is literally the gateway to Glassford Bayional Park. Designated in 2010. Previously a Gold mine site and further access to other properties and Kropmbit Tops road conditions are four-wheel drive through to these areas. There are three neighbouring homes before the grid and across the road.

Square Mile

Square Mile is a 6000 acre working cattle property in close proximity to Agnes Waters. The property is surrounded by national park and mountain range.

Campers will enjoy bush walking, bird watching and swimming in the swimming holes on the property.

Your hosts Bruce and Sharon would be more than happy to show you around their property. You may get to see cattle getting processed in the yards the dogs working or even see some cutting show horses being worked.

You are welcome to pick your own spot to set up camp. Access is 4wd only and there are no amenities, so you'll need a self contained off-road set up.
